Hi Nabeel, First of all, love your videos! And thrilled to see you you've done a rare one beyond iPhones. Now, to answer what you could do better - NOW, a few wifi basics - you've gone for an AX standard router / AP setup. I would have rather recommended an AC option, but in Tri-band, over a Dual-Band AX. Agreed AX has better traffic switching but AX will be atleast 5 years away as standard! I've researched for you and found that the x20 is a dual band model - ABGN & AC. The thing with dual bands in mesh is that they will HALVE your speed in a wireless mesh mode, as they do both job of comms - Main router to Mesh Unit & Mesh Unit to End Client on same channel, thereby half the performance. Whereas a Tri-band has 3 channels - 1x 2.4ghz and 2x 5ghz - one for Data backhaul to main unit and other for comms to end clients. I highly recommend these dual-band AP units in a wired setup with atleast a Cat 6 wiring & you should see 200+ mbps speeds across the house. Also, bear in mind, for where you simply want extended access and don't mind half the bandwidth, wifi mode mesh will suffice at half the original speeds. Then, there is the issue of placement of these - I see your old unit under a tv and between other peripherals, another one on the fridge! (Big No No!), you'd rather mount the 2nd one downstairs from over the fridge, to on the pillar by the room behind the fridge - it would greatly benefit if you found holders for these / or even shelves - acrylic rather then wooden (as wood soaks signals) and had each over 6 ft high. Further, it would help if the wall they are against has some kind of metal, to bounce signals off, like an aluminum / copper painting. Finally, you'll have to play with the placements to avoid signals from 2 ap's and i'm sure you'll have a great setup for now and you've future proofed yourself a little with the AX. For reference, I personally have a 300/50 connection from British Telecom, and I thew out their Router day 1 cos they can see all my devices and their MACs, and see per device real-time and historical connection and traffic. I now use an ASUS RT68u-AC modem, with WIfi disabled (only 2.4ghz in hidden for IOT devices like smart bulbs, smart switches, wifi cameras), but i run Linksys WHW0303 Velop Tri-Band Whole Home Mesh WiFi System (AC2200 WiFi Router/WiFi Extender for Seamless Coverage of up to 6,000 sq ft, Parental Controls, 3-Pack, in AP mode, so all 70+ wired and wireless devices are on the same subnet and work seamlessly via the same router. And, i get atleast 280 - 305 across the house. Any lower than 250 and it upsets me. lol. Once again, good luck with your new setup, and if you need any help / want to exchange notes, feel free to ping and maybe I can even assist you to do a new channel on Internet, Wifi etc. - i do see comments where people would benefit from cheaper and as robust options. Take care
@Akhil Oberoi i am really awestruck by your knowledge in this domain. I am also planning to buy a router but it should be futuristic. Currently i use 100 mbps internet but my house is small (only 500 sqft) but lots of devices are connected to my wifi (around 10 including my smart tv). I was thinking of going with wifi6e technology with no budget constraints. I will be also moving to a bigger house around 1000 sqft. My question is it worth to go with a bigger budget wifi like 10ks or will mid range routers like 5-7 ks will also serve my purpose?
Hello sir, i am looking for a mesh setup for my home. Please recommend good routers under budget. I have two floor house, around 700 sq ft of area on each floor.
sasta wala TP link ka 4 router le lete and ethernet cable se mesh bana lete. Speed drop nahi hota jaise aap dekh rahe ho when connected to your non-main router. ye ek technical issue hai wireless mesh ka. 50% around internet speed drop ho jata hai. Sasta non-mesh router leke jo paisa bachta usse cat 7 cables and cable ka housing karwa lete pura ghar me. Just mera 2 paisa wala thought. Love your channel Nabeel.
Salaam, Nabeel Bhai, aapke is video me aapne dono deco wireless connect kiye hai isliye main router me zyada speed or baki router me kam speed mil rahi hai, lekin agar sab deco ko ethernet cable se connect kiye to sab deco me full speed milegi kya ??
Nabeel bhai mera ek question tha jo Sunday QnA me nhi ho paya tha please mere question ka reply kar diye iphone 13 aur iphone 12 pro me kaun sa lena chahiye jeddah me dono ka price same hai please answer 🖤
Nice practical demonstration, there are very few videos such as these for Indian homes. Have you heard about airtel offering Mesh wifi plans and nodes from 799 plan onwards
To get same speed as main deco just connect with enternet cable. My home is very large so I not got good speed on every unit. But after connecting with cable. It just boom your home WiFi. Led light on deco also very good. Cost of product is very high. If u have Philips hue then add to deco. Also all to link product can be operated through deco app like camera, smart switch & bulb etc.
Hello Bhai , I use ACT Fibernet and that does not have any modem. It comes with only fiber optic cable. So should I directly plug that fiber optic cable into TP deco and it will work?? 4:34
Sir mere ghar jio fiber 150 se 200 fit distance pr laga h ,mujhe kya lena chahiye jo jio fiber wireless se connect ho sake ,single user hum m please reply
After installing this wifi mesh, if I have to connect my pc via lan port, can I still use the broadband router (Netplus) lan port or I have to use the port in the mesh? If not, what happens if I need to have access to another port for e.g. NAS device. Hopefully, It is clear
M 1 pcs ko as a wife extender use kr skta hu Jaise mere pass 1 Router h Archer C6 wo mere pure floor ko cover kr leta h but Upper floor pr range nhi jata h kya m 1 psc ko Apne wifi router se Ethernet cable se connect krke upper floor pr Internet access kr skta hu
