Others have pointed out that this mash-up includes tracks 1 and 2 and 8 from Dark Side of the Moon. To Tasha's point, listening to the first 5 tracks ("Speak to Me," "Breathe," "On the Run," "Time (and Breathe Reprise)," and "The Great Gig in the Sky"), which would be the first side of the original album could be done in a sitting, would be good before needing a break. Then the final 5 tracks ("Money," "Us and Them," "Any Colour You Like," "Brain Damage," and "Eclipse") could be listened to in another sitting. The whole album is only about 45 minutes or so, and, as others say, it's' worth listening to all the way through if you have the time. In any case, as a Pink Floyd fan, I love that you appreciate their music and take the time to really listen in your reactions (even if you need a break, which I get). Thank you for the work you put into reacting. We fans really do appreciate it!
Agreed. If Tasha needs a break then listen to all of side one, continuously. Take a break. Listen to all of side two, continuously. Side one is about life, starting from birth (Breathe) to death (The Great Gig In The Sky). Side two is about specific aspects of life (money, conflict, madnes etc.) Relax, avoid distractions (e.g. phone off), lower lights, lower eyelids and journey with the music. Enjoy the experience!
It is IMPERATIVE that you two go through Dark Side of the Moon in it's entirety (Its 43 min long)! It is the greatest album of all time, nothing touches it - it floats high in it's own dimension outside of the heights that other great bands reached. I promise you, it will change you in some way right in front of all of us.
So glad you reacted to this. Pink Floyd shaped my teen years in ways I never thought they'd go. I've listened to the whole Dark Side of the Moon album both sober and whilst tripping. For me hearing it sober you can appreciate the compositions and structure of the songs, but hearing it whilst tripping balls, man you feel the album. My mind opened up a thousandfold, every note played caressed a nerve ending I never knew I had. Would absolutely love to hear y'all listen and react to the whole album (with the intermission break in between to keep Tasha from floating off into psychedelic bliss). Space ship background was a nice touch.
Me too brother. It showed me my demons and I had to confront them. Thank God for those experience's because it showed me that there really is God and he is who he says he is. If you don't know him, I would hope you will give it the same chance you gave Floyd. Peace to you brother
One of the best albums in history. The song time chokes me up every time I hear it, beautiful song. It was a song I loved when I was younger but now at the age of 49 it’s a song and they can bring me to tears if I’m in the right mood.
I hear you. I am fifty one and don't rock out like I used to, but Floyd in combination with psychodelics showed me there is in fact GOD and he is who he says he is. If you don't know Jesus Christ I pray you would give him the same chance you gave Floyd. Peace be with you brother
I had a quadraphonic stereo with an eight track player. Used to lay on the floor and surround myself with the speakers. Just let the album play over and over. Loud enough that my neighbors could enjoy it also. No drugs, Pink Floyd was the drug.
Not sure if you’ve already listened to the whole album all the way through, but each song is mixed into the other continuously. This album was on the charts for around 15 years straight. It is one of the only albums in history where you can listen to it all the way through without a bad song. It is considered a masterpiece among listeners and music historians. I recommend that you listen to it all the way through. There will never be another album like this one. Enjoy!
You all can knock drugs and for the the most part I agree, BUT when paired with bands like Pink Floyd and so many other's it takes you to a place of total transformation that is Hypnotic and truly an experience of a lifetime, brings tears to my eyes when I look back on it. WHAT A GREAT TIME.

Pink Floyd was the best concert I ever experienced. I was not high when I went. And I was not high listening to them as I am old and my tripping days were in the late 60's with Hendrix, Woodstock & the like. I was having babies when Pink Floyd started becoming very popular. I am really enjoying watching you enjoy them. ☮
This album is meant to be played in order from beginning to end. It was written that way. You can hear each song bleed into the other, although each song does stands on its own. I personally do prefer some songs more than others. I hope you guys do more! Have fun!!! 🤘🏼
One of, if not, the best album of all time. You need to listen to the album in it entirety as the songs all flow into one another and it has meaning. It is only 45 minutes or so for the entire album.

I am 62yr old and yes I listened to Pink Floyd back when the album 1st came out and, yes I was under the influence of different types of substances when listening to this and their earlier albums as well. Check out "The Wall"
There very early albums were different when original co founder Syd Barrett was lead writer, they started changing when Syd left and they hired David Gilmore of lead guitar, you need to listen to the follow up to dark side which is Wish You were here. especially shine on you crazy diamond.
I still can't believe anybody could make music like this. I never get tired of it. I've been listening to this since the 70s. And this is just a bunch of synthesizers they use real instruments.
Mostly guitars. "Any Colour You Like" uses synths, but "Breathe" is mostly guitar. Lots of "phaser" effects. Also, steel-lap guitar. And I'm a keyboard/synth person myself.
You’re right on the nose, when you mentioned you didn’t want to stop listening. Practically all their albums are meant to be listened to front to back, as each song melts into another. As well as each album telling a different story or topic. Early stuff is fantastically psychedelic, but not for everyone, with the album Meddle standing out as my favorite. Then between 73’-83’ they released Dark Side of The Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Wall, and The Final Cut. All peak Pink Floyd! Animals is probably my favorite, definitely check it out. Love your guys reactions, covering both the feeling of the music, and the lyrics that stand out. Keep up the great work🙏✌️❤️
I have always loved the way they pull you in get you in the mood , and take you along with them , as if your in the same space as them simply amazing .......
You have just experienced greatness, good isn't it. Fortunately I've had 60 years of this and I feel true honoured to have grown up in the Pink Floyd era.
When a pink floyd comes on the radio. It just freezes me it's easy to get sucked into their albums. And yes smoking a little will send you into a trip. Relaxing trip.
My parents got me Pink Floyd tix for my 19th birthday in 1994. It was The Division Bell Tour (live album / dvd is Pulse). It's still probably the best concert I've ever seen.
Dark Side is an EXPERIENCE! put time aside, relax, imbibe lol, listen to this album uniterupted!!! It blends together as one track. I was 12 when this came out. They been in my head since. Back them we would smoke weed in the garage or outside somewhere then run home and play the Album. Now I stay home, smoke and play it still!
Those are actually tracks 1-2 and then Any Color You Like is track 8 of Dark Side of the Moon. Please do an entire album reaction. Maybe a live stream. Still, as always great reaction.
I was jamming along with it, then.... I know I'm old, but this is what CDs used to do on random play... From track 2 to 8. It's was a weird feeling looking for the Random button to reset the video. Senior moment.
SORROW. Live pulse edited ‘94. It is unbelievable. But, watch some of the live stuff especially Pulse. See they are just regular guys with regular instruments excelling in music together. Makes ya appreciate them even more. DSOTM was great makin out music lol.
"Any Colour You Like" just might be Pink Floyd's most underrated song. I mean, those of us [ and by "us,", I mean the 70's-ers -- those of us who were teens or thereabouts when The Dark Side Of The Moon was first released ] who know Pink Floyd, know how good of a song ACYL is. But it is not mentioned that often when talking about Pink Floyd's best . Loved y'all's reaction. But don't I always? We all do. Keep on r'actin .
Love watching you 2, so genuine cute together. I can see how deep you feel these cuts, I feel the same as Tasha... tripping through space. You're beautiful people, thanks👍❤😘🤪👍
dang! , like everyone says ,i wish i could hear this again for the first time ! for everyone that sees this , YOU are awesome and beautiful , and don't you ever forget that!!!
Pink Floyd is an experience. If you can lie back and chill and listen to the whole album Dark side of the moon and The Wall it definitely takes you on a journey. They are really artists to me. They paint a picture.
This album syncs up perfectly with The Wizard of Oz, all u have to do is press play on the Pink Floyd CD when the MGM lion roars the second time on the movie. Edit: psychedelics will enhance the experience.😁
The way we listened to music when this album was released is very different from now. Albums were listened to in their entirety or at least listening to one entire side of the album. That's the type of listening for which Pink Floyd albums were made. Songs flow from one into another purposely. It's not like today's music where individual songs are downloaded, and the songs on a CD are the same artist but otherwise may have little relationship to each other.
Question. Would you say that Abbey Road fits this type of listening? Sure, there's the medley in the end, but the rest are individual songs. I wouldn't say that Abbey Road has a theme like the Floyd, but I contend that it's a perfect album, with the songs needing to be heard in the order that was released.
@@mgordon1100 I think it's more about how the album is engineered and released. Pink Floyd didn't have as many singles released. Those released sometimes needed editing to give the song an endpoint. As many reactors say, "It sounds like something is missing" when listening to unedited music. That's because something IS missing --the next song. The songs flow from one to another seamlessly. The Beatles and other artists have some songs engineered to flow, but not like Pink Floyd. While you could stack 45s with your favorite songs/different artists to drop on the turntable, mid to late teens or adults didn't listen to music like that for the most part. More experienced listeners threw an album on, intent on listening to an album in its entirety, for parties or mood music that I most remember.
@@anntelford8647 I'm not arguing that Abbey Road is on the same level of flow as a DSOTM or WYWH. Just that there is a flow, in the way the songs were written, produced, engineered, and ordered. If I'm in the mood for Beatles, I wouldn't listen to a couple of the songs. I'll listen to the entire album, and it's important for the songs to be in a particular order. It's a different kind of flow, but not any less important. This is the way I'd listen to music back in the day. It was albums. At home, put on the vinyl, in the car it's cassettes. Of course, there was always the pop that just didn't matter. With The Beatles, compare the songs on Please Please Me, to Abbey Road. They strayed away from pop, to bring a whole new way to hear music. Even that same year, Pink Floyd was writing pop songs, with the occasional weird stuff.
,@@mgordon1100 I think the biggest determiner is maturity. A 10-year-old isn't likely to throw an album on the turntable. Then 3-4 years later they'd be more likely to listen to an album.
I saw Pink Floyd live in Cleveland in 1988. We had floor seats and I will say it was the absolute best concert I have ever been to. The surround sound was something I’ve never experienced before in my life. You could hear a pin drop it was so crisp and clean. It truly was something out of this world, and I was sober!
I went to a Pink Floyd laser light rock concert. If you were stoned you were in for a bad trip. I was stone cold sober and came out feeling like I was tripping. I had my mind blown that night. Surround sound with the laser light show was insane. Pink Floyd has their own unique sound.
I was in my 2nd year of College when "Dark Side" LP dropped !! Syd Barrett and Roger Waters were/are genius personified! And, yep, I'm pretty old !! Thanks T and Tasha ✌🎵🎸🎧👍
OH YEA ..THE 80S FOR ME WAS PINK FLOYD AN ACID...CHECK OUT THEIR MOVIE ....THE WALL THATS TRIPPY...GREAT REACTION GUYS LOVE YOUR CONTENT ...KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK...
You must listen in CD form in it's entirety because they all tie together without interruptions. And, I remember hearing it when it first came out . I was working in a factory when Money came on the radio. Stopped me in my tracks. Listened to the album thousands of times since in came out in 1973. Not kidding.
Breathe is my favorite Floyd song, so I liked this. This is a mashup of 1st, 2nd, 8th songs on the Dark Side of the Moon Album. You should probably try listening to at least 1 side at a time on their classic albums, since the songs all flow together (Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Wall). But the Wall is very theatrical and a double album, so is a big chunk of listening.
Jumped in Roud,s VW, drove to Charlotte, 5$ ticket, made our way to the stage and with elbows on the stage and well...remember Gilmore,s t shirt stated " Were they good?"
I saw them do the whole album through, live, in 1973. There were lots of hippies in the audience, but at one point I looked behind me and saw a little old lady-a grandma-sitting there in her seat and knitting the whole time. It was like that.
Do yourselves a favor and listen to the whole album from start to finish. It's really the only way to fly. Only the first two of what you heard are sequential. The last one is third from the end.
when starting high school in the mid 70's, I used to stop at a friends house, who would put this album on while we smoked a bowl before school, and one more on the way to school... what a way to start the school day, though I'm not sure you need to do that to fail a pee test.. just listening may do that
The music is the drug, and your correct about needing a break when listening to PF, It’s emotional and deep. The best time to listen to PF is when you have the time.🙋♂️👍
Only the first two are in order, showing you how they all transition & melt together creating a wonderful feeling of flowing. Any Colour You Like is misplaced. Having said that, you are listening to one of the greatest rock albums ever recorded.
Do it right: listen to the first side of the whole album (5 tracks = about 19 minutes), then flip the vinyl (figuratively) and listen to the rest (5 tracks = 23 minutes). Anything else is wrong and won't give you the right enjoyment. Trust me. Your rocket will then fly out of our solar system!
Listening to the album all the way through multiple times with some help from Mr. Fun Guy was an experience I'll never forget. You don't need it but it definitely takes you on an amazing journey...
Album came out when I was 11 years old... was my constant companion through high school and university. It was recognized at the time as a timeless epic and was all our philosophical and political educations ... if there was ever a promise for music to change the world, as was the entire premise of the 60s, this was it.
Give EVA CASSIDY a listen. Song to start with is "OVER THE RAINBOW" Her first and only Album was released a year after she suddenly passed away from Cancer. Luckily someone recorded a live performance she gave right before she discovered she had cancer. When you hear her you will want to dig into her other songs. Very talented guitarist but her vocal ability is one of the best.
Most Excellent Album 💯🔥🤘..... The best times I had were listening to this album and smoking 😉... Oh, I would go to a planetarium when you look up seeing amazing laser show listening to this album. ❤️

"Any Colour You Like" is almost always excluded from ANY review of Dark Side of the Moon. I've never understood why! It is absolutely sublime!
Pink floyd is an amazing band. No matter how much metal I listen to I can enjoy some pink floyd

Love your spaceship idea
I went to a Pink Floyd laser light rock concert. If you were stoned you were in for a bad trip. I was stone cold sober and came out feeling like I was tripping. I had my mind blown that night. Surround sound with the laser light show was insane. Pink Floyd has their own unique sound.
Great reaction guys and exactly how the album intended.
The greatest album ever no one can touch this must on vinyl to wear out your needle a pure masterpiece
INSTANT MASSAGE FEELINGS after hearing this, every time. TRIPPIN' is the Pink Floyd way.
Jumped in Roud,s VW, drove to Charlotte, 5$ ticket, made our way to the stage and with elbows on the stage and well...remember Gilmore,s t shirt stated " Were they good?"
Such a great fucking band glad to see you guys stumble upon these gems ❤️❤️❤️
I saw them do the whole album through, live, in 1973. There were lots of hippies in the audience, but at one point I looked behind me and saw a little old lady-a grandma-sitting there in her seat and knitting the whole time. It was like that.
Do yourselves a favor and listen to the whole album from start to finish. It's really the only way to fly. Only the first two of what you heard are sequential. The last one is third from the end.
when starting high school in the mid 70's, I used to stop at a friends house, who would put this album on while we smoked a bowl before school, and one more on the way to school... what a way to start the school day, though I'm not sure you need to do that to fail a pee test.. just listening may do that
Pink Floyd. 😁🤫👍🏻✌🏻
the majority of this stuff was done completely sober
Loving the whole spacecraft vibes guys. Very unique, and sometimes brings a different aspect to the songs, 'looking down' on our Earth. Subscribed.
Listening to”Floyd” always leaves me in a better place. A first listen to “Dark Side” will remain a uniquely connective, yet personal experience.
listen to dark side of the moon from the start to finish
🚀 Oh I freakin’ LOVE the TNT Spaceship! Glad to see y’all enjoying a short trip round the dark side of the moon with the Pink Floyd boys.🤘🏼🎧🤟🏼
The music is the drug, and your correct about needing a break when listening to PF,
It’s emotional and deep.
Pink Floyd, headphones and "Mary Jane" were made for each other . . . . .
The whole album most of the album blends into the next song and its about life from beginning to end!!!! *DOO* * ITTT*!!!
Best backround ever guys!!!
Listening to the album all the way through multiple times with some help from Mr. Fun Guy was an experience I'll never forget. You don't need it but it definitely takes you on an amazing journey...
Mushrooms and cold beer are a nice alternative listening to pink floyd. 🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🥰🥰🍺🍺🍺🍻🍻🍻
I feel like I'm traveling the Galaxy at the speed of light. Sometimes it just close my eyes I don't need to look at the video.
Yes you should have listened to the next two tracks which would have completed side one of the album.
Album came out when I was 11 years old... was my constant companion through high school and university. It was recognized at the time as a timeless epic and was all our philosophical and political educations ... if there was ever a promise for music to change the world, as was the entire premise of the 60s, this was it.
Listening to Dark Side of the Moon with headphones is like tripping without the pharmaceuticals. Ear porn.
Yeah. Pink Floyd is definitely better with a little bit of a mind altering enhancement.
An early Pink Floyd you must do is "ECHOES" live from Pompeii part 1.
