Those three finals have got to be three of the greatest finals Hampden has ever seen. The 1987 game was immense. Heartbreaking as a Dons fan to lose that game especially since my Dad and my Sister are Rangers fans. This game really was every bit the previous games equal, and the 1989 final too was a brilliant game. Three finals and each one had both teams going for it full bore. None of this looking to sneak a winner late in the game nonsense. These were two teams desperate to win, it was end to end stuff. Truly incredible finals.

Yeah but this was a neutered Hampden. Still gorgeous though. But the Hampden of the early 1970’s is the best.
