Madrid-based label Meritorio Records, a good connoisseur of everything we like, and specialized like few others in searching the world for fabulous bands that know how to carefully combine the strength of powerful guitars with catchy melodic jangles in a classic style, has gone to our antipodes to bring us the second full-length by Best Bets, a four-piece from New Zealand, a land that for over 40 years has also known how to combine both concepts, with praised labels like Flying Nun, and essential line-ups like The Clean, The Bats or The Chills. So we must thank again our good friend Alvaro for giving us the opportunity to have in our channel a gem like "Monster", first single off "The Hollow Husk of Feeling", the sophomore full-length by Best Bets, also co-released with Melted Ice Cream.

The tracking graphic at 3:25 should have come after the vhs tape effect, because it was always clear and it didn't jump around like that, because it wasn't recorded on the tape, it was produced by the vcr digitally.
