The thing about Xiao Zhan is that he's friendly and polite with everyone. When he was with his group, he was really happy and cared for them all deeply and we can see them joking around like YiZhan too.
With Wang Yibo, I don't get why people say that he is friendly only with Xiao Zhan, because in reality, he is a typical introvert who does not let many people in his circle, but when he does let them in, he shows his true fun side to them and messes around with them too.
With this, you'd think that there is nothing special about YiZhan. However, the difference between how these 2 act with their close friends/bros, and how they act with each other, is _glaringly_ obvious.
If you've seen even like 1 video of Xiao Zhan with his group members of X-Nine, you'll know what kind of relationship he has with them. Completely platonic. There is not an ounce of doubt in that. It's a younger brother, older brother relationship with everybody there, with Xiao Zhan as the eldest of them all (the age difference ranges from 2 years to 10 years). Since XZ is the eldest, they all look up to him. He takes care of them as his own little brothers and he has a very mature place in the group, where they don't expect him to joke around. They can always count on him to be serious in every situation when they are messing around. They call him Ge and sometimes Da-ge which means big brother in a very realistically bro-ey sense. They also tease him by calling him uncle all the time. One of them even called him dad by mistake, so you just know what it is like. It's not a bad thing at all though, because Xiao Zhan enjoyed that too - being the big brother they would all look up to and go to for advice. He used to give them all kinds of advice and he really sounded like a dad sometimes lmao.
So the difference? As I said, it's damn obvious. Wang Yibo is literally 6 years younger than him - an actual Didi. He is in the exact same position as Xiao Zhan's X9 Didis.
So the obvious question is, why is _their_ relationship not the same? Why do they not act their age? Xiao Zhan really has no excuse especially cuz we have seen how he acts with boys who are that young to him and whom he cares so deeply for.
This is why whenever their age difference comes up in interviews, they always say that it doesn't feel like there's that much of an age gap between them; that they're just like normal friends. And this would be completely innocent if it's not for the fact that even though they're so very comfortable with each other to joke around like peopIe of the same age do, despite the generational gap, they still talk about their age difference a hell lot. Think about it : If you've been friends for as long as they have, then you have already left behind the age thin. It's in the past now - not something you even think of anymore. But for these 2, it's one of the main topics of conversation.
Why? Why would they focus on that so much? Do friends really care about their age as much as these boys obviously do? What _is_ their age gap to them? I'm gonna remind y'all of the "old cow eats tender grass" thing here, to answer that. That's literally a couple's proverb. He basically said what he thinks of their age gap. Yibo, what were you thinking? Lmao it's so obvious, we don't need any more explanation for that.
I still think the main thing has got to be the stares no matter how cliche that sounds. XZ and WYB have many friends who they jokingly flirt with and all that, but have you ever seen any of them stare at each other the way these 2 do? It's the way that they look away when they get caught i- like come on. If you're staring at him to just mess around with him in that rainbow-farts way, you wouldn't get flustered over getting caught staring at him, because you're doing it to tease him right? But why is that not how XZ and WYB react?
That brings me to my next point : they flirt _relentlessly._ Of course we all know that, but compare their way of flirting with each other, to their way of flirting with their friends. Yibo especially, has had many bromances while in Uniq since he was the baby of the group and everyone adored the shit out of him. But when he would have a 'moment' with any of them (like pretending to kiss), everyone including the 2 of them, would be pissing themselves laughing. Because they _know_ they're joking.
But with Xiao Zhan? Everyone around them is trying to hold in their smiles because they're being too obvious. That is the difference.
I'm not even gonna get into how Yibo had immediately latched onto his Zhan-ge even though it's a fact that he takes a week in the least to warm up to people he has just met (most of the time, even then he does not warm up to them. He just stays polite or extremely straightforward and savage) but with Xiao Zhan...I think everyone could see how he was cracking jokes with him and leaning on him (touchy!?) and actually making an effort _on the first day of filming_ like, hello??? Is this the real Wang Yibo?

@@metoyou3224 yeah! I saw that even in their first script reading and opening ceremony when they were just settling in. Their interactions gave off strong "I know we both know there's something happening here, so I feel a bit awkward to start a conversation" vibe. Might just be me, but the main reason we can feel it is because we all have experienced crushes and we know what it is like yeah? And that's exactly how we'd act around our crushes! I'm not making any claims here, but they really do seem that way.

There's no right or wrong to them, unless the people they are centered around are uncomfortable about it. Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo have not ever expressed disdain for BJYX shippers, so you don't have to feel offended on their behalf.
And no, they aren't sacrificing their friendship because of the shippers if that's what you mean by "cheap peopIe". It was the ao3 scandal that resulted in their public estrangement. But anyway, if you're familiar with the C-ent, then you know that this was bound to happen. BL movies are good for actors as long as they make them popular, but once the actors become A Listers and shoot to stardom the way Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo did, they are not supposed to go in that path anymore. China does not allow the actors to interact after the BL matter is released. We should be thankful that China did not impose a ban on them the way they did on other actors who have acted in BL dramas. It is because the censorship was heavy, that our boys escaped the wrath of the government.

I don’t know how much Xiao Zhan spend time with his group,but i think they’re not fun.He was being funny,cute and sometimes try to joke with them,he was being so friendly but they was not really reacting.Altough,when he was with Yibo he was joking with him and Yibo mostly react also they had so much fun together❤️they are so lovely~

Straight up some people just think WAAY too much and need to wake TF up! Reality is they are actors who were playing 2 lead characters that just happened to be gay. That's why it's called acting. 🙄🙄 What part of acting do people not get?? I wish them well in the future on their paths.
Right now? It's been years since they've even acknowledged each other but the reason is not just the fans. I know everyone likes to blame the fans for everything and fot speculating too much and while that's part of the reason, you can't actually blame them. Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan knew what they were signing up for when they agreed to play the main leads in a BL drama. Every romantic pairing in every drama gets shipped which is why there's always official cpns for the main pairings in dramas. That's just how it is. But the way these 2 were so close once and suddenly stopped even acknowledging each other, let alone interacting, tells us that they did not just get stranded, but were most likely forced to separate. Before anyone goes "because of the fans!!" Nope. If you know what happened with the main leads of Addicted (BL), then you know that this separation was not because of the fans. It's an unspoken rule by the government itself where actors of BL dramas are not allowed to interact with each other after ther period of acting and promoting, especially if they are as popular as Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo are. So when you say that it's gonna all go back to normal once the fans calm down, I'll say I don't buy it. Not only because it's been 2 years already and at this point there's more antis (+solos) than followers of the ship, but also because the Chinese government keeps making new laws that are anti lgbt, which already tells us what it's gonna be like in the future. I don't reckon they'd take a risk with Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo by letting them interact and anyways, it's been so long - how are they gonna pull it off? What will they say, 'oh it's been so long, sorry I couldn't even look you in the eyes, I was just so busy"? Lol

Guys chill they're friends, but what attracted me to think they prob in relationship is how diff they treat each other compare to others. Like yea ik XZ and WY are both get along with others well but what sweetest is that WY been applying for role of LWJ for 3 times?! And how he reacted with XZ at first also seems cute, we all know it takes time to get along with WY but for some reason we can see him wanting to approach XZ first in the show (DDU with Xnine, ik he only looking but still its hard to get his attention but XZ successfully did it). Its actually hard to find WY try to approach first, but also needing attention from XZ?? Idk if he bored to core to the point he reaching out someone but I see that he particularly approach XZ. Also in bts we can see WY try hard to make a conversation with XZ to the point its actually look desperate. For me the main difference is the sexual tension, the footage of Yizhan is very overcharged, when you switched in the video from the groups to their footage immediately is like, wait a minute what happened here. Even if it was platonic, there was too much happening between them all the time they were together. Also the age difference with the other footage. Zhan was in his late 20s when filming. So it took a more charged undertone.
