Wow. So glad to see this video. I do the same thing on Microsoft Paint and am constantly surprised at the actual color. Nice to now that an great artist like yourself does the very same thing. And here I felt like I was cheating. lol
Am I the only one who sees Fluttershy from MLP in the background!!! I love it! :D I'm all geeking out over that! Anyways, thank you for the tip on color. It's true that our eyes can see one color when it's actually something else.
Just a question... How do you deal with the issue that pigment color isn't the same as light color? The color you see on a printed photo is based on reflection of light. The color of the monitor screen is coming from the backlight. How do you correct the value-hue-chroma changes in this brown of the video with an oil color? Isn't the same brown.... Simply by guessing?
>New hermit crab >i.imgur.com/kfrHb7Q.jpg As a graphic designer, I can tell you that the colours we see on the screen are not easy to match with oils, acrylics and others (the RGB, CMYK convertion) I tried to do it but couldn't, is there any material that can give the colour some of that "bright" the screen has?.
Hi Lisa, Here is a website where you can order the correct shells. It's good that you are going to replace the painted shell. Apparently the paint can be toxic. www.hermitcrabpatch.com/Hermit-Crab-Shell-Selection-a/149.htm Looking forward to seeing your drawing.
Believe it or not, MS Paint can now do this. I use Win 10, but I don't know which version it first showed up in since I've had Linux for the past 10 years. :D
Buy shells like on Etsy for crafting but pick the kind hermit crabs use. Cheaper and I hear the hermit crabs do not like the painted one. How do u get it's to climb and move around? Mine just stay buried. I have everything correct for there enviroment
Deana t I listed the skin tone colors I used in this video ruclips.net/video/i_LBqh5i8kQ/видео.html&lc=z134vn4zoqbxexp3j22hcx4wrna4ubywo04 and will be listing the colors for my current portrait in my video next week :D
+fingalificated This falls under fan art. While fan art is a muddy area and some studios don't allow it, some studios encourage and promote it. Game of Thrones is one show that encourages and promotes it.

You should really make a video about the exact names of the Polychromos you use for skin, because I don't know what to buy!

never trust your eye when choosing colours. every eye see colour differencetly
Gimp can do this and It's Free!
+Wendy M Good tip:)
Question, you are always so concerned about copyright and giving credit and everything - how could you possibly justify drawing/using this photo??
