Thanks for the info, with your help I've managed to update my idrive on my 4 series. I've got one question, how do I get my idrive welcome animation to show on-screen before it goes straight onto the main menu page when I start the vehicle. Is there a setting for that?
hey Fritz... I have to replace my display unit in my 135i e88.. because it's causing faults.. so BMW says I have to replace it to fix the problem.. I saw your video for replacing that unit, but are you aware of any places to get it other than China and below 500 or so??

You might have to use bimmer code for that

Hey I only have an option to format to MS-DOT (FAT) 16 OR JUST MS-DOS FAT.
NVM. Selecting MS-DOT (FAT) auto formatted it to 32
Mine says no compatible software update
That means bmw has not made a software update for your car yet. Sorry
