  • It's not quite 4 years. It's been about 3 1/2 years. I do know that it's about 900 cycles of the battery though. I've tested the mug's battery performance periodically throughout this time and these are my results.

Unbelievable - this is so great! What do you do with it at night? Do you turn off the mug from underneath & leave it on the base? Leave the base plugged in, or unplug? Thanks for doing this!

I should add, I leave it on the charging coaster most of the time and sip it all day. (Tea, not coffee)

Great question. When I'm drinking coffee, I would say 90% of the time it is off the base and drains all the way down to no heat as I sip the coffee over an hour. After finishing my coffee, the cup immediately goes back on the base until the next day's coffee, or maybe an afternoon tea.

Thank you for your videos! I just ordered mine. I have seen a lot of people saying that the mug starts to flate after use. How do you clean the mug to keep it from flaking?

Yes. That is a legitimate problem, regardless of how you wash it. I generally just rinse my cup out each day but my original white ember mug has a lot of flaking on the bottom. This black one I'm using now I don't see any flakes but the material below the finish is also black so I'm not sure I would see it. I figured they had fixed the flaking problem but now you've got me thinking.

@ Yeah maybe they fixed the problem with newer models. Thank you!
