We are SOOOO fortunate that practically there is a lifetime of recorded listening, now on CDs and DVDs, and what to speak of the huge library of books. I live away from a temple, but on my way to work I listen to a lecture on CD, and in this way maintain my life.
This is the most worthwhile thing I have seen on the internet in AGES!! The way in which Prabhupada gives an analogy for breaking down the misconception behind "idol" worship, thus offering up the esoteric meaning behind the use of stone or wood Deities for getting prayers to God, boggles my mind due to its' sheer SIMPLICITY - and yet it is pregnant with all of the valid points that display HOW such seemingly rudimentary a practise can actually access the most magnanimous Consciousness, Ultimate Reality, through that process of prayer. So simple, yet so complex! Wow. Astounding!
