Jennifer's poolroom in Brooklyn is one of my favorite rooms. Before the pandemic I was going there every Thursday for their Thursday night tournament. She would usually play in it.
When I publish my educational pool videos on YT, I spend a lot of time making sure the camera is level. So it drives me nuts that this camera is slanted. Maybe it's just me LOL
Jennifer's pre-shot routine is very meticulous and deliberate - then sometimes she jabs her stroke like its a pinball machine. Not always, just sometimes. If she could fix that she might be unbeatable. Excellent player but I think she could be damn near perfect. Holding her own against Jasmine is no small feat.
Just watched this match noticed same stabbing stroke and pre shot delivery but I do like the way she looked over the table and her stance .I believe I may have learned something g
If people would stop walking into their line of view as they're trying to take the shot, it might have been different. The distractions here are unreal. I move out of the line of view as a courtesy in a freaking bar and the officials are walking directly in front of and behind them just as they're about to take their stroke. It's shamefule.
Yes! I was kinda biased toward womens pool until i saw kelly fisher playing perfect game her positional play was god like whole match i mean every position was so good u could not place it better in ball in hand and i can quarantee in that game kelly woulda beat many men pros playing like that
I assume there's some break reqmnt. Oushan didn't meet on her break @ 13:50. They were having trouble settling down, but now it's looking like they are both in stroke...clean run outs.
I watched the whole match... both players missed routine shots and got out of position more than a professional pool player should..... I like Jen but she literary give away 3 matches from simple mistakes..... it was painful to watch....

The reason why 3 balls have to come past the headstring is because of a low speed break that will yield a high % carom shot that can be done quite frequently and almost killed the sport of 9ball.
I lost 50 points off my Fargo rating just watching this match 😂 Just kidding the pretty one plays pretty sporty giving the girl in blue all she can handle
Wow you guys read and write pretty well considering you're men. Of course I could do it in my sleep but it's an inspiration to watch you all make such great efforts to communicate via written language. Men are really stepping it up these days. Cheers

I answered that question: did I get it right when I identified Alison Chang as a Taiwanese reporter for a newspaper or magazine? I've also read about an Alison Chang who is an actress and not a reporter. also, do you play a mean game of pool and are you in any videos as a player?
3 point system. 3 object balls have to cross the headstring. Potting a ball subtracts from how many have to cross. Example if you pot 2, 1 ball has to cross the headstring. However if you break and none goes in, 3 have to cross the headstring. It's a rule implemented to prevent soft breaks.
Hey Grandpa do you not notice how cramped it is when the players on the adjoining table can be seen in the frame? I’m betting the ref is as far away as possible.
+Alison Chang Does that apply on the break at 39:55? I'm thinking no, since the ball went in a side pocket, but I'm not completely sure. Legal break or not?
I like Jennifer but Jasmin has a more organic and natural play style and stroke where Jennifer tends to be a bit stiff especially when putting harder shots and playing for position.
Read the rules before posting, "The three point break" rule must have been applied here: "On the break shot, a minimum of three object balls must either be pocketed, or touch the head string line, or a combination of both. For example, if one object ball is pocketed, then at least two object balls must touch the head string line; or if two object balls are pocketed, then at least one object ball must touch the head string line."
I don't see that rule posted though I have heard of it being used in high level tournaments. The context of that rule being assumed is more than many veteran pool players would easily figure out just watching the video.
Why did Jasmin give up the rack after the break in game 4? Is that an understood rule that if you don't like the layout after making a ball that you can pass?
If the 9 ball goes in, it is a win. That is why sometimes when I play in a tournament & have no shot I will slam the balls as hard as I can. Many times one goes in & sometimes the 9.
If I could I would change many rules in the woman's game. One of them would be the rule where 3 ball have to cross the headstring line. Another would be all tournaments to be played on 8 foot tables. Also no 10 ball - 6 ball would be my choice. There are many other rule changes that would make the woman's game faster, more exciting, and would benefit many players that never even make the quarterfinals. Until the women play on the level of the men they should not have to play their game with the men's rules.
Jasmine plays better when she was younger. Now, she plays very stiff. Jennifer on the other hand plays as if she is in beauty pageant talent portion. Come ladies, play like you enjoy being there.. So many mistakes.. Can't imagine these were champions before.
This may be the oddest setup I've ever seen... Ref standing over the players, like they night steal something, total silence and impersonal. I can see why rack 1 went so bad. This is just weird.
Thanks for watching and comment. Because it is self-recording, not official camera. The first and only the ref have to do that is focus on the game/table, they are doing their job. As this is not official, the height of the camera could not be set-up high enough to avoid that situation happened (The height of the tripod is limited.) Have been grateful to be allowed to record these matches. It's not perfect but did the best, please be understanding.
Everything about the girl in the blue is hot. Shoots fast , beautiful cue action and easy on the eyes , anxiety driven personality. Makes her even hotter than the heat that was previously coming off of her hot. Just a total package of a player. The other chick in black walks round like she's hungover. No flare.

She stabbed at the 8 in the last rack. Probably why she missed it, if she didn't miss she had shape on the 9 and this goes to the hill.

Two of the best looking women in pool. I hope to play them someday. I would probably loose badly but it would be a wonderful experience for sure.

Yes but I don’t think enough balls made it past the second diamond on the far end of the table making it a non conformant break.. I think
Rack 4 Ouschan breaks and makes the three and then sits down?? No one saw that including the clueless ref? Unbelievable.
