I cleared CFA level 1 in August 2022 and also passed BBA in 2022 . After exams, From September to November(2022) I started developing skills like proper resume format, interview skills, etc. note-from lockdown 2020 I started trading, investing, reading finance books, watched thousands of RUclips videos on investing, equity research so I already had skills required to get in equity research. Finally, I got an internship[ got a stipend also :)] From January I started an equity research internship, alongside started preparing for level 2. In May started full-time studies
If I were at your place, the plan for me would be : doing extra curricular activities and Olympiad competition as these competition are recognised competition (look for Swetha arora cv , see how extensive her cv is )and most importantly score above 90 or be a ranker in 12 th these marks are important in selection criteria during CAP rounds . Now next graduation, depends on you if you are choosing an undergraduate degree based on the diversity score in further mba CAP rounds it can be 3 year or 4 year iam considering 3 year undergraduate degree in these situations. Here the extremely crucial part starts , choose good committees like NSS , and finance committee in your colleges , perform extremely well and stand out to obtain head / core position in these committee since you will be working as volunteer in 1st year , second year you can get selected for these positions of you are all rounder and performing good in university exams (since above 90 percentage should be target as important for CAP rounds ). These things will get you extremely good POR in your CVs. Side by side prepare for CFA level 1 to be given in end for 2nd year so prep starts in 2nd year start .after semester examination, like in August when 3rd year starts . There after you have time for level 2 to be given in next year Feb or may . While you are in 3rd year prep for CAT as November examination starts from Jan itself , start giving mocks in April - March . These last year would be hectic as you would be giving cat + cfa l-2 , after cat attempt ,consider going for an internship in the finance field in month old dec .
