These guys are ridiculously good. Looks like I'll need to give them a listen more intently. I'm glad RazorFist got me to give them a listen, since my days as a youth in the late 80s.
I've been in love with Stryper since "Soldiers" came out, I did not know if they was a Christian band at the time, and i give a good old fashion damm what they are. All i care for is that Stryper is bloody good musicians, nothing else.

Stryper are a great band, top quality musicians who stayed true to their beliefs in a scene that really was pushing conformity of a sort. I remember when they started out, they really shook things up. Stryper stand above divisions caused by their faith, they gather respect due to their quality and dedication and the fact that they never backed down before criticism. True Metal!

Michael has a great voice, so if this was the only version and I'd never heard Bruce do it, I'd still be singing along at the top of my lungs, loving it as a great song!
Maiden has been a major love of mine for many years...got a tat of Killers on my right shoulder....so...Stryper is also a fave of mine....great stuff if anyone cares about my opinion...

saw this tour in Pa at a small club (Reverb) they got no promotion & a small turnout but I have to say it didn't affect the performance. True professionals!

I've seen both of them live a few times and they both put on killer shows.I think Stryper did the Trooper justice the solo was different but they just put their twist to it and that is cool.Im gonna have to buy this CD if I can find it.
Truly sad that people ignored them because of their beliefs.... they truly are the world's most talented metal/hard rock band, which they have proven over and over

Also one of my favorite Maiden songs. I think the guitars sound super great and clean. They have the gallop sound down perfectly, maybe a little better than the original because of technology. But the vocals...sheesh. I think they guy singing the high harmony sounds better than Michael..
Totally agree, either enjoy it or move along, It is a great cover. I don't give a shit about their spirituality. I have just watched Richard Herring Stigmata love, that's about where I am with religion. This is the first ever thing I have watched by Stryper.. I was watching Black sabbath's induction on you tube, and there was a neg comment about them, I basically asked them why be so negative. Why hate. Find something you DO like!!!

I may be wrong but i feel even though Iron Maiden donot disclose they are also a Christian band, look at the tracks The Wickerman and The Pilgrim for instance.

The music is very good. The most difficult part of this song are the great vocals of Bruce Dickinson. They are so very hard to copy. It's just the same with Ace of Spades. Nobody can play that song better than Motörhead..........
