KH2FM Level 1 Lingering Will Speedrun (

- This is a Level 1, no stat boost and no stun lock run.
The first phase is pretty simple, the whole purpose is to reach his first HP gate in one "Damage Phase". Use Duckflare for iframes at the very start of the fight using the auto limit ability from Donald. Theres no consistent way to survive all of Terra's potential opening attacks unless you pause buffer to see what he will do, which isnt optimal in a speedrun so Duckflare is what I go with. As soon as you get your first opening, you need to get 10 horizontal slashes total. I do 4, 4, 2, due to the fact that you need to enter Final Form after your 10th slash. I messed up this run trying to input them at the soonest frame to speed it up, so I had to adjust. Going into Final Form, and letting Terra fall back down from the explosion takes the least amount of time if you enter Final Form on a 2nd horizontal slash, rather than a 4th slash, or letting him fall back down, entering Final Form when you both reach the ground, and waiting for him to fall back down again after the explosion. If your opening comes from a reflected cannon, do 8 horizontal slashes, or 2 sets of 4 to get the same damage you would normally. In Final Form, do firagas until you run out of MP, you do not need to be positioned too well here, the damage from all the firagas should do exactly the right amount of damage needed to hit his HP gate. Revert from Final Form and block his retaliation, which is almost always whips, and use a megalixir.
Now we are in the 2nd main phase. Once you get your opening do 2 explosion combos into a Duckflare. Let Terra be close to the ground when you use Duckflare, otherwise you have to wait for him to fall back down. Once you use Duckflare, use Mega duckflare, and do the first 2 hits of Aerial Spiral, into a normal air attack, into another Aerial Spiral, but this time allow all 3 hits to land, then do another normal air attack. Do this same set of attacks once more, but do not do the last normal air attack hit. Use a megalixir when you finish. This phase is the main phase where you can adjust your damage output, which needs to be rather precise for this whole strat to work. The goal in this phase is to just start damaging Terra's 8th health bar, if you are a little over it is fine, the max you can go on his 8th bar here is 3 squares I believe. Adjust your air combo if you feel you are doing too much or too little damage. It is very rare that you are doing too little, as the only way it can happen is a poorly executed firaga, however over damage is likely if all your firagas are perfect.
This is where the 3rd phase begins. Terra needs to do at least 2 retaliations after a Duckflare combo for you to be able to do it again, so make sure not to punish the first opening you have if he only did 1 rising sun or 1 whip. The most likely retaliations are whip into rising sun, he can do either 1 or 2 rising suns after the whip so watch out for both. If he ever does cannon, do not reflect it as it will ruin your damage output, roll into it which almost always causes him to use bow. Once you get your opening, do 2 explosion combos again into a Duckflare, into a Mega Duckflare, but this time do not do any physical combos to him, just let the Mega Duckflare end.
If you have done all your damage correctly, Terra should be at the start of his 6th health bar, which will start the most tricky phase of the fight. Due to the specific damage that was dealt, Terra is right now at the very edge of entering his DM phase, allowing us to have one last damage phase. 99% of the time Terra will do one rising sun combo, into a whip, which usually kills your party members. Sometimes he will do other retaliations, but it doesn't change much. Use a megalixir as soon as Terra is about to land, and do another Duckflare into Mega Duckflare. If we do any physical combo he will enter his DM phase, so just do the Duckflare. Here is the very tricky part. When Terra wants to DM, he will enter what I call Laser Phase, where he spawns Lasers for about 10-15 seconds and then DM. There is a way to skip it, however I have not found a consistent setup for it. What I believe the general gist to be is that you cannot hit Terras revenge value, and you have to hit him at the very end of the Mega Duckflare, so that the hitstun of your attack outlasts the hitstun of the Mega Duckflare. Terra will view this as a dropped combo/a combo with no finisher, and skip Laser Phase and go straight into DM.
This should be the final phase. Use a megalixir once you reach the edge of the map to block his DM, and once he finishes, enter Final Form. Do Firagas until you can only do one more, revert from final form, do a full physical combo, and right before the finisher do a Duckflare, do the air combo you did before, and finish off the fight. If you have 4 shock charm +'s and Goofy throws a megalixir before the Mega Duckflare, use Thunder to finish.
Depending on RNG, this strat could take less than 2 minutes.

The first time I played, Sora, Donald, and Goofy were at lvl 99, with the strongest weapons. I got owned so much that I used the Fenrir jump slash strategy.
But I knew I wasn’t going to have any personal closure if I left it at that. So I replayed it. Sora had all Hi-Potions except for 1 Mega-Potion, Donald and Goofy each had 1 Mega-Potion, 1 Ether, and the rest Hi-Potions. Sora equipped with the Ultima Keyblade (IE the best one), and Donald and Goofy with their strongest weapons. All of their moves were set to “use freely”, and the items were on “emergency only” each. And set them to “attack Sora’s target”. I used Limits so I’d be invincible during his moves, and so as soon as he drops his guard, I’d already be attacking him. If not, then I used the Genie summon (IE the best one) to do the same thing. And if neither are there, I just glide around until either meter was full. RINSE AND REPEAT, and I beat him in about 6-8 tries.
Decisive pumpkin is actually the best one, but glad you beat him lol. There are a near infinite amount of strategies you can do in kh2, so it's always nice to hear other people's.
You can kinda loop him but I love blowing up up with limit zantenzuken

Dude, this game is so awesome. This video is literally living proof that you can basically get as creative as you want with this game, lmao. I remember having so much trouble with this guy, and eventually, I finally beat him like a couple years ago. I've been using the Fenrir strat ever since until just recently, where I sat down and actually learned the patterns, and I eventually beat him with just Kingdom Key (still level 99, I'm not *that* good, lmao.) I even accidentally beat this dude without getting hit once, lmao. This games mechanics really make you feel like a bad ass, even at level 1, and it shows. Nice run my guy 👍

Does it make a difference if I have full bloom plus's equipped? Does the added strength from equipment really matter at level 1? Is it considered less legitimate?
It doesn't matter for this fight, but it does for others.
The damage you deal won't change regardless without tons of strength boosts on level 1 though.

Lv1 deals more damage?
Nope, there's some damage scaling for level 1 but I'm doing the lowest possible damage, since I have zero stat boosts and all my stats are lower than the stat floor for the boss fight.
Also there's a damage boost from Critical Mode, because Beginner deals 1.5x damage, Standard and Proud do 1x, and Critical does 1.25x. That little bit of extra damage really adds up on lv1.
With Zero EXP equipped aswell the hidden ability inside of it the answer is yes Lv1 does more damage but not much when we're Lv99
@@khmasterva6919 zero exp doesn't have any special properties in 2fm, only in 1fm. I'm doing the lowest amount of damage possible.

Yeah. You can see that his DPS suddenly tanked just before reverting, which is when LW's HP gate was hit.

I get really anxious in boss flights that I forget to pay attention to the health bar. I usually go by instinct and muscle memory, or memory that I have from seeing other people play those bosses. So, thank you very much hehehe
