I moved to Puerto Rico in 98'. My uncles chicken pen was right outside my bedroom window. One day, I heard the chickens going wild and I told my uncle. Thank you so much for this wonderful video, Carol Anne! I waited until I finished out my Monday at work to watch this and oh man was it worth the wait! You made a rough day better! El Chupacabra is one of the first cryptids that peaked my interest in cryptids in general. It’s amazing how quickly and quietly the creature strikes!

Lots of interesting stories about cattle mutilations! Linda Moulton Howe started following this kn the ‘70s I think? She wrote at least one book about it/linking UFO technology, kinda cool imho! Great episode!
I hadn't really given too much thought to how chupacabras are described, but now, I'm noticing a lot of similarities between them and the ancient northern European tales of fae folk, like how some of the faerie species are described, or maybe elves. Only in very modern times are elves and faeries described as sort of angelic, good-natured, kind-hearted, beautiful humanoids who want to help. While I think there were a couple of benevolent fae folk stories, most of the fae folk are mischievous at best and usually predatory and even vampiric. They were creatures feared and warned about, not fun or harmless fairytales. I've heard a couple tales, too, where chupacabras are described as walking upright, and that would certainly fit with the traditional stories of elves and faeries as darker, more malevolent, nightmarish creatures. And the theory about them maybe hypnotizing their prey before killing it definitely sounds like a fae folk tactic!
@@TheInBetweenTales I actually found a reference in a book of folklore and folk tales to a creature my mom warned me about when I was little. That was a mind-bender!
Hey Carolann I was missing ya! So thankful for your upload I just got off work I'm gonna eat my lunch and watch this video. I love the crypid stuff! Can you make us members a video soon we are due for 1!! Thank you for making my afternoon amazing! ❤️❤️❤️
Well... As a puertorrican i can say. 1. I looooooveeee your channel. 2. We don't have coyotes. 3. My doctor saw some animal similar to a kangaroo, and we didn't have those here, crossing the highway in only two jumps. 4. When i was a little girl i was listening and reading on the newspaper about "The vampire of Moca". Then all stop and almost 20 years later the chupacabras start doing the same things. 5. We that the Gargoyle here, came a little time after the chupacabras and a 2 friends of mine and my daughter saw it.
I really enjoy the quality of the content you and the Mr. provide for us. I really wonder if enough people think about something if it could be manifested. I would love to see you possibly have Fred Roehl A Curyung Tribal Council member from Dillingham, Alaska as a guest..Fred told his encounter on project 412 Matt's channel, I really think Freds subscribers would fall in love with the inbetween's content and your wit, in addition i know some would love Fred's content and no nonsense approach. Fred's encounter was the most frightening Ive have heard to date with the Youngstown Dogman "Matt" being a close 2nd. ChupaCabra the other "white Meat"
I was in Puerto Rico, specifically El Yunque' rainforest in 1997. It is supposed to be their home. Gotta say, I did not go off the paved roadway, and I usually like to explore a bit. It just felt a bit odd.
I've never heard of a lot of these stories. Good job on the research! Very vampiric all the stories I've heard here in Texas say oh it's a coyote wolf hybrid but I'm not buying it .
🇧🇷🇧🇷 Facts 100% real about Chupa- Cabras: 1- they are very real; 2- among many animals, goats are their favorite " food"; 3- they are not from planet earth ( they cannot be); 4- they are not any living animal you know on earth; 4- they don't have fur ; their skin is smooth with a slightly shy; 5- they are not one being; they are many when attacking, but, they attach animals in different areas; never two individuals together in the same area. Finally, 6- it seems like extraterrestrials beings, when passing close to our planet say among they: " let's stop on earth to eat a fast food snack ". One more time and clearly: they are not fiction : they are 100% REAL. The world you live on is completely controlled by few people. Whatever they don't understand or deeply know, their worldwide midia will hide it from you as much as they can.🇧🇷🇧🇷
Im from the south west of Puerto Rico and William is right, it still happens every now and then. I have met witnesses of the creature and some of them have seen it during the attacks and yes , it seems it hypnotizes the animal. Chickens, cows or goats seem to be really drowsy to the point of not defending or trying to escape at all. Mainstream media is not giving it attention. One known local news station did a report of one of the attacks in the town of Aguada during summer time but that was about it. Plus many witnesses face mockery of the public when they tell their experiences.
You'd think a farmer would stay awake all night right by his farm animals occasionally and if multiple ppl did this, then they're bound to eventually see something. It sounds like some did maybe. A little confusing to me on that.
I don't only look forward to your stories but, I love seeing your beautiful outfits and jewelry. I don't think I've seen you wear the same thing twice. It's awesome you're very pretty!
Chupacabra does indeed seem to have morphed from a highly strange unknown into something more canine (and comfortingly familiar). Also, nothing was mentioned about any incidents in Cuba, which is very near to Puerto Rico. In the US, we don't hear much about Cuba, or maybe we just aren't listening.
Omg That's a vampire behavior that's 😳 😮 How the Chublacabra does the same thing like vampire but Drains blood from liveslook like cow sheep and chicken this is getting very Scary 😨
My home town is Caguas, Puerto Rico, Girl I could tell you that there was a scientist, he 'hid out' in Puerto Rico. Doing 'stuff', remember the children, they were being born hermaphrodites, A LOT OF THEM. He had something to do with this, but then all of a sudden his 'terreno' (land) was abandoned. All traces of him were POOF gone. But the kids remain. I think it was national geographic that did a write up about it. Thanks guys. The 'chupa' is in the rain first now. That's why the Marines took the top half of El Yunke. You cannot go all the way up, they stop you. Check out the stories from Puerto Ricos 'daughter' Vieques Again girl thanks. I so enjoy your channel 😊❤
@@TheInBetweenTales "The Moca Vampire". Moca, a mountain town of the northwest, had this stories about some random folks being attack by a vampiric dude during their trail, night walk. That was like back in the 1970s if I dont recall wrong. I heard by some locals that some victims where lucky to escape but some others just disappeared. Ive seen some youtuber talk about it but it was some vague version .
I don't know how you people would run around in those woods knowing all those creatures are out there. These stories just scares me. I live in Flagstaff Arizona and surrounded by forest. I wouldn't dare go walking in the woods. Thanks for great stories.
Holy crap... Ever look at the similarities between the Chupacabra and the beings reported during the Varginha incident that James Fox recently reported about? The physical characteristics of the being specifically virtually identical
@TheInBetweenTales doesn't match for all the types but there's a very clear subset of the chupacabra (bipedal version rather than canine looking) descriptions that match identical to the Varginha incident

Hello Carol Ann, Hops here again, I’m going to throw in my two or three quarters: just a crazily possible thought: I’m thinking more than just one predator ( unknown pack hunting giant insects that can cloak in their environment like a octopus; I know sounds crazy right? But possible. Just my imagination running in logical patterns, love your shows 🥰🫵👍 stay safe out there 🙏. P.S the red eye coyote type animal seen was just a luck discovery has nothing to do with the killings
@ But to kill multiple animals in close proximity of one another and drain all fluids is a predator or predators on a whole different level and to do it quickly is almost magical or dimensional 🤔
Very logical explanation Clobby. I also agree with you about that coyote like animal, its not responsible for the killings. But do you wanna know a crazy opinion, I always though el chupacabra is a kind of shapeshifter vampire that kills of those animal because he refuses to kill humans.
@ that’s could be true too, I for years been trying to figure out what kind of creature can do these kind of killings, that’s why I started looking at the insect world 🤔
@@meggiebee these are wonderful dogs many dogs act out while in temporary care he’s in a strange place his mum and dad are back next week he will be fine no blame is on the dog in these situations
Thank you. Carole Ann! As to why chupacabras are showing themselves; humans have both infiltrated into their range, and therefore, the prey population has also dropped; and a chupa’s gotta eat, ya know

I've always heard "El." From scientists to students, everyone has said "El." Regardless, I remember when these stories broke in the news. Fascinating stuff! A great and super-creepy cryptid with DNA that doesn't match anything ...
Good thing I'm a vegetarian, this things seems to stay away from vegetables. Lol Kinda' scary though.. one hungry shapeshifting Vampire, if you ask me. Thanks for sharing, Carol Ann. ;o)
Okay, this could be an interesting one, trying to figure out what's going on here or what kind of animal could be causing it. But let's really look at it. First thing's first. Let's get rid of the assumption that it's a regular predatory animal. I do believe that we all know that most predators don't leave perfectly good meat and organs behind, and the vast majority of them would make a mess of this. There'd be a holy ruckuss as well, with warning cries going out. No, Chupacabra is fast and efficient. We have multiple animals hit at once, it seems, each one with only those puncture wounds and each one completely exanguinated. But let's take a look at another factor, one that, I think, many overlook out of the fear these things (I do believe there are more than just a few) give. Out of all the animals that have been hit, at least from what I've seen, there have been zero dogs, zero cats and zero pigs. What's more, they seem to leave people alone. So why? Consider the livestock that has been hit. There's one thing that's common among them all that the rest of the types of animals I mentioned don't meet. And, what's more, why not cattle? We'd think that, with something as large as a cow, there'd be a lot of blood they could get in one fell swoop. It's because the majority of animals hit are herbivorous, and they're small, or smallish. But then there's the fact that it can happen so fast, so effectively. I don't think we're dealing with any regular kind of predatory species. I htink we're looking at some kind of transdimensional intelligence that requires the specific blood type that these herbivorous animals have, something special in their blood, possibly for gaining some kind of nutritional or power-generating that they need. And they obviously need a lot of it. And they're intelligent. When things got too hot in PR, they moved on to other grounds. They're able to do their operations quickly and efficiently, likely with some kind of mechanical means. Anyway, that's just my thoughts on these things.
I think there are two types of creatures being identified as Chupacabras : Canines and Bipeds. The canines are just that, mutts/mongrels/half breeds with mange or whatever that are innocent. The bipeds,WTF they are, are the vampiric creatures doing the killings.
Normally, I would agree with you, except a good friend of mine has seen the canine type twice! And he says they are not any kind of canine he has ever seen. His encounters will be included in the follow up episode. 😱💜
Ah, yes, "Mass hysteria," the natural explanation for bodies being drained dry of blood through precise surgical punctures wounds. 😂😂 I wonder if the scientific community even knows how ridiculous they sound lol.
This is the TRUE Chupacabra, not the one the woman Doctor in Cuervo, Texas found dead on the side of the road. With all those animals being drained & for it to 'jump' from Florida to Mexico means there's a LOT more of them, not just the single Chupa. Edit: You & your husband have got to come out with this AI generated Chupacabra! T-shirts, hoodies. Terrific image!
@@TheInBetweenTales yeah if it's lacking in the future/hair Dept, it wouldn't like it here, or anywhere not referred to as the deep south, about now. Brrrrr.
Let's look at this with some logic and common sense. Ever hear that if something sounds too good to be true, it isn't? In this case, we could say "too bizarre" to be true. Whatever was killing those animals was no predator. It was some kind of machine. The animals were most likely euthanized before the proceedure, which explains no resistance. Whatever "it" was, it was collecting vast amounts of blood. Think of the sheer amount of blood collected from those animals! No single creature could process that amount of blood, even if it relied exclusively on fresh blood for survival. Heck, it would've swollen up bigger than a tick and been unable to move! No. The questions we should be asking are "Who (not what) was doing this?" "What was their motive?" "Why did they need to collect so much blood?" "Why use some creature as a distraction?" Perhaps most importantly, "How were the animals drained and killed so quickly?" I think the real answers to these questions may be more horrifying than some strange cryptid.
So you're going with the demonic juice box straw theory, then? 🤣 Good questions! Although, if the animals were euthanized first, wouldn't the drug used show up in the necropsy?
@@TheInBetweenTales Hmmm, good point. "Demon juice box". Ha-ha! I haven't heard that before. All I'm saying is, be careful not to be mislead in cases like this. If something is in front of you, and it seems obvious, go with what makes the most sense. They've repeatedly said no animal leaves bodies like this. Therefore, logically, it's not an animal. Just because one was seen in the vacinity doesn't automatically mean it was the one doing the killing, *unless* it was caught in the act by more than one witness. I think that with the hard evidence we *do* have, everyone is guessing at this point.
All the DNA from the hairless dog-like Chupacabras that Texans and other people in the states describe and point to are canines or raccoons with sarcoptic mange. Canines are usually coyotes. First, some animals are very difficult to identify when they are almost or completely hairless like raccoons and bears. Second, this type of mange not only makes the victim hairless but also deforms its basic structure - mouths, legs, bodies, backbones, etc. And they are often emaciated which also makes them look even more otherworldly. When animals are skin and bones, their ribs and vertebrae tend to "stick out". With all this, the mange-affected victims can no longer hunt their natural prey and hang around humans to eat their trash or take on their fairly defenseless livestock. The ones in Puerto Rico walk on 2 legs and look completely different than the ones identified in the states whose DNA always comes back as canine, usually coyotes, or raccoons.
Bananas Collins has been quits busy. But wair, even a vampire never drained his victim completely. This is strange and sounds like some kind of demonic forces out there.
Yeah. Researching and writing the scripts is the most time-consuming part. So we're trying to get a good mix between me and help from AI. This one was a little too much AI. Sorry. I just want to eat dinner with my family more than once a week! 🤣💜

I was born in PR, few years before the chupacabra showed up. Ah the memories of being a young child and this panic going on.
I never heard the entire story of this! Thank You!
Thanks, Joey! 😊💜
I have to do an episode on the fae!! I've been meaning to do it for a while, but I think I need to bump it up on the priority list! 😊💜

I actually found a reference in a book of folklore and folk tales to a creature my mom warned me about when I was little. That was a mind-bender!
What creature?
@@TheInBetweenTales
Believe it or not, it's called "Raw Head and Bloody Bones".
Great thing to tell your little kid to watch out for, eh?
I wonder if there are any incidences of humans being attacked? Now that would get my attention!
I'll see what I can find! 😊💜
Hey Carolann I was missing ya! So thankful for your upload I just got off work I'm gonna eat my lunch and watch this video. I love the crypid stuff! Can you make us members a video soon we are due for 1!! Thank you for making my afternoon amazing! ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you for your videos and narration. Love your videos Carol Ann.😊
Thank you so much, Howard. 💜💜💜
Wow! Any chance all 3 are the same thing?? 🤔💜
One word “Vampire” ⚰️
Awesome story telling!! Thank you, Carol Ann!! Keep those chickens safe lol!!

Whatever they don't understand or deeply know, their worldwide midia will hide it from you as much as they can.🇧🇷🇧🇷
I'm from puerto rico and i can testify it's all true about chupacabras till this day it still happens..
Really? Wow! Funny, we don't hear about it as much anymore from PR. 🤔💜
@@WilliamCruz-u1i Why don’t we hear about it?
Im from the south west of Puerto Rico and William is right, it still happens every now and then. I have met witnesses of the creature and some of them have seen it during the attacks and yes , it seems it hypnotizes the animal. Chickens, cows or goats seem to be really drowsy to the point of not defending or trying to escape at all. Mainstream media is not giving it attention. One known local news station did a report of one of the attacks in the town of Aguada during summer time but that was about it. Plus many witnesses face mockery of the public when they tell their experiences.
Nice! I'll be there for Chupacabras part 2. Lol
Good! 🤣💜
You'd think a farmer would stay awake all night right by his farm animals occasionally and if multiple ppl did this, then they're bound to eventually see something. It sounds like some did maybe. A little confusing to me on that.

You're right! I haven't heard of anything in Cuba. I'll see if I can find out anything when I put together the follow up stories video. 😊💜

I was living in PR when the Chupacabra was doing its rounds....before El Chupacabra there was "El Vampiro de Moca"
I've never heard of that one. What's the difference?
@TheInBetweenTales it was happening up in the mountains but the old country folks never made it public...
Is it the same description as the Chupacabra?
@@TheInBetweenTales "The Moca Vampire". Moca, a mountain town of the northwest, had this stories about some random folks being attack by a vampiric dude during their trail, night walk. That was like back in the 1970s if I dont recall wrong. I heard by some locals that some victims where lucky to escape but some others just disappeared. Ive seen some youtuber talk about it but it was some vague version .

Really? I've heard about Varginha, but never dug into it. I'll have to look. Thanks for the tip! 💜
@TheInBetweenTales doesn't match for all the types but there's a very clear subset of the chupacabra (bipedal version rather than canine looking) descriptions that match identical to the Varginha incident

Hey there Nancy 👋🏻😃💕

Hey Keith 💓💕💓
Hello Carol Ann, Hops here again, I’m going to throw in my two or three quarters: just a crazily possible thought: I’m thinking more than just one predator ( unknown pack hunting giant insects that can cloak in their environment like a octopus; I know sounds crazy right? But possible. Just my imagination running in logical patterns, love your shows 🥰🫵👍 stay safe out there 🙏. P.S the red eye coyote type animal seen was just a luck discovery has nothing to do with the killings
That is interesting! That would explain the initial description. But lots of people saw red eyes. 🤔
@ that’s could be true too, I for years been trying to figure out what kind of creature can do these kind of killings, that’s why I started looking at the insect world 🤔
Another great story to cheer me up I too have recently been attacked only this was a Rottweiler I’m stitched up watching RUclips it’s all good
Oh my Lord! I hope you're going to be ok! Glad I can help the recuperation! 🙏💜

Interesting analysis!! The more stories I hear, the more I'm starting to believe in the other dimension idea. 🤔💜
Ah yes puerto rico 1995 hmm i wonder how my spanish fam used to tell us storys about it back in 1990
Especialy my granddad who never left spain 😂
Wolfaroos!
@TheInBetweenTales interesting, can't wait.

Chupacabra doesn't attack humans? I wonder why.In my humble opinion, if it's real it is not of this Earth.
Ah, yes, "Mass hysteria," the natural explanation for bodies being drained dry of blood through precise surgical punctures wounds. 😂😂 I wonder if the scientific community even knows how ridiculous they sound lol.
That would be swamp gas induced mass hysteria. 🤣💜

My X mother-in-law is out there somewhere... she can suck the life right out of you... LOL
🤣💜🤣
No. The questions we should be asking are "Who (not what) was doing this?" "What was their motive?" "Why did they need to collect so much blood?" "Why use some creature as a distraction?"
Perhaps most importantly, "How were the animals drained and killed so quickly?"
I think the real answers to these questions may be more horrifying than some strange cryptid.
So you're going with the demonic juice box straw theory, then? 🤣 Good questions! Although, if the animals were euthanized first, wouldn't the drug used show up in the necropsy?
@@TheInBetweenTales
Hmmm, good point.
Originally they called that thing the GOAT SUCKER
Lol, that’s what chupacabras means! Chupa is suck, and cabras is goat.
Fiction, next question.
Just a story. Not a real creature.
