Great stuff, makes me long for the US-spec 1974 yellow Manta Rallye I bought new in 1975, from a Buick dealer no less. Had my eye on a sky blue one, but then was smitten by the yellow. with the hood painted matte black from the factory. Great handling car. Mine never sounded like these cars, though!
There running multiple Weber carbs or multiple motorcycle carbs x4 one for each cylinder ,no air box just protecting filter gauze, that's wer u get that sound from mate,
You are right, the Manta was a big machine, it was heavy and handled like a boat, but it had way more power usually. In group B it had around 270 bhp, while the Kadett had around 120.
Id a 87 manta 2.0 gte white with the yellow and black graphics, ,it was the tail happiest car iv ever drove ,and i miss it terrible, ,that was in1996,I swapped it for a XR4i SEIRRA, 4X4 2.8 ,Wasn't as fun ,but still another 80s icon ,I had to flog it quickly as I accidentally didn't stop for the law one night as I had my sounds up high and am colour blind so didn't see the blues flashing,😑😞😎,that's my story an I'm sticking to it 😅😅😅,,,👋🚗👮🚔🚓🚨
On the last day of school my dad drove one of these into the playground (it is allowed by the way) and people were like 'what is that' just as my dad skidded it into a parking space
das ist wie ein abgesang, .... schade ab 2019 gibt es keinen echten opel mehr geben, werde den sound vermissen, hab 30 jahre den blitz gefahren......einen neuen (peugeot) wirds nicht mehr geben
naja dann biste 30 jahre izuzu bz. renault oder bmw motoren gefahren, also wo ist da der unterschied zu peugeot, zumal opel eh nix deutsches ist und von gm geleitet wurde usw.
@@michaelhens5698 Also es gibt bis 2019 schon noch Opel Entwicklungen zb z20let(astra g opc ) z20leh(astra h Opc) z16ler (corsa d Opc) b16les(corsa e opc) um jetzt nur ein paar zu nennen natürlich gibt es auch ein paar zugekaufte das sind dann aber meistens Diesel oder halt der z22se und seine Nachfolger von Saab
