The choreography for EXO's "Electric Kiss" is one of the most complex dances in the industry. There are more than 30 unique transitions in this dance and they are constantly moving. No one is in the same position twice in the dance. That's why it felt unpredictable to you because nothing is ever exactly the same.
Chanyeol is the tallest member of EXO at 6'1, so he will always "look tall." That is also one of the reasons why he has to work extra hard to match the other members in their dancing because he has to squat and bend so much more in order to match the formations of the other members. However, Sehun isn't that much shorter than him. Sehun is 6 foot, only about an inch shorter than Chanyeol. I think Chanyeol just looks so much taller because his arms and legs are really long, which makes him more noticeable when he is dancing.
Not 100% what inches are in cm. But I’m guessing 1.82-1.83? Maybe? 😅 he’s amazing though! Tall dancers are so fun to watch! One of my favourite dancers in Kpop is Yunho from Ateez he’s 1.86 but he dances so well and in sync with the other members! They’re amazing at what they do!!

@@KL.art88 it was confirmed recently that Chanyeol is 189 cm when he was analyzing his height. I don't remember exactly in which video he was analyzing it but I'll look into it.

Chanyeol is 189, confirmed recently on live ,his old profile shows 186 which was never updated after debut . Sehun is 183 and kai is 182 in their old profile as SM never updated them

Sehun was sick during this dance practice and he was also filming a movie so he couldn’t really practice for the dance so he learned it in a day or two which is insane considering how damn hard this dance is 😀

Now that you have seen the EXO version and the X-EXO version of EXO's "Obsession @the stage" live performance, if you haven't yet, you also should watch the (EXO & X-EXO ver.) ruclips.net/video/Y4elYHBNW1o/видео.html performance. Just like in the MV, when you see the members in the black outfits they are EXO the good guys, but in X-EXO version we see the members in bright colored clothing with wild hairstyle and crazy makeup who are EXO's alter ego clones. Therefore, in the EXO & X-EXO version you will see how they created a really cool mashup of the two performances to show EXO and X-EXO battling for control.
FYI: Everything they are wearing, including their hair color, is the same as what they looked like in their "Obsession" MV.
Fun fact: Even behind the sense they keep up their characters and storyline. :D . During filming when they interacted with the audience in between the EXO and X-EXO stages they pretended to be EXO during the EXO stage and they were their evil X-EXO alter ego clones during the X-EXO version. For example, they joked with the fans that X-EXO was backstage watching during the EXO stage and they didn't like all the support the fans were giving to EXO. LOL
This was a special performance created as part of EXO's promotions for their "Obsession" MV and album. When Kpop groups release a new song and album they do all different types of promotional activities to keep fans interested and to get people excited in order to drive album and merchandise sales. If they can keep people talking about the song and album and get them excited about all the promotional activities it is most likely going to make people want to buy the album or purchase the song on streaming sites, so everything a Kpop group does is designed to be a marketing tool to sell more products.
Shindong from Super Junior -- a member of one of SM Entertainment's senior groups -- and his production company were the ones that directed this whole performance and video shoot. (Shindong and his company are also the ones that produce all of SM's @the stage videos for several of SM's other groups and artists.)
EXO's live "Obsession" performance is most definitely, 100% live -- it's a live recording of their performance. Not only is their dancing amazing, but they are also singing live the whole time. It may be hard to believe because their vocals are so stable while performing this intense choreography, but as an SM Entertainment artist they have been training their whole career to build endurance and stamina in order to be able to sing live and continue to sound flawless while performing in concert for 3+ hours. That is one of the reasons why SM is known as the vocal powerhouse of the industry, because they put a huge emphasis on finding and developing amazing vocalists. Even SM's rappers get intense vocal training -- on top of being impressive rappers, most of SM's rappers could fill in as main vocalists as well.
