One thing I do not understand... The Samoyed is my favorite breed, yet this dog won even though it had a hard time keeping still, and fidgeted when touched. Are minor movements dismissed with this breed or something? I hope to get a Samoyed myself, but I the ones in shows I see cannot stay still unlike the other breeds. Is there a way to make them stand better?
+Yoachan The Samoyed is known to have a mind of it's own, and therefore it sometimes does things you don't want it to do. Because of that, they're also quite hard to train. To be honest, I'm surprised the woman got the dog to behave the way it did.
Julie Symonds actually I am very good at training dogs I am only nine and samoyeds for me are easy to train I have trained a dog since it was a puppy and it is a best in show winner I do the adult dog shows as well
Julie Symonds, your correct, the Samoyed male was 17 month old, he was the youngest Samoyed ever to win a BIS. He went on to have a long and very successful career.
Just to reflect on some of your comments...I can train my sammies very well, it needs time and patience, but ones they except you as an owner, they do what you wish!! 😀😀
Samoyeds are very happy, playful and extrovert dogs who adore people in all there many different shapes and sizes and moods, even people who don’t like them, and are really interested in everything we do. Did u see the way he celebrated with his handler on winning?! This is a highly expressive breed and if they do sometimes not stand like statues it is acceptable and considered simply to be an expression of the Samoyed personality.
I just love Sammies so much. They are so beautiful.
Samoyed: most beautiful dogs in the world!
I met this winning dog 3 days ago while delivering their packages and OMG it was soft and adorable
Samoyed looks like a mini polar bear, Beautiful
