Why would the Black Box be in the tail of the plane? Wouldn't it make more sense to have it in the cockpit or even in the passenger area in case of situations like this?
boiledcrap generally the cockpit acts as a crush zone like the front of our cars to reduce the impact of the crash. So having it in the tail end makes a bit more sense.
