    How hilarious would it be if you got in the deprivation tank and got extremely relaxed and had diarrhea? Explaining to the lady how you shit up her life pod... soo so embarrassing.

      @erichughes3987 7 лет назад +17

      On SaltWorks website 24 50lb bags cost $1,031.76. and kiddie pools cost about anywhere from $15 - $50

      @azuredoomc 7 лет назад +4

      $1,840 all together excluding shipping. 20lb bag of epsom salt is $30 on Amazon so times that by 60 to get the 1200lbs and $40 for a kiddy pool. :D

      Positive Changes does mental exercises for anxiety and other things, lots of people swear by it. Not sure what they charge. I take Vitamin D3 gummies and a Magnesium, study shows about 80 percent of Americans are deficient in magnesium not to mention if you live above New Mexico probably Vitamin D as well. Some of my issues is growing up with a German mother, you never know when she was going to go off on your ass for no reason at all.

    hey Jerry, if you're waking up fatigued, go get a sleep study, you may have apnea. I hate to point this out but it's common in the upper-size (no offense please) person due to upper back to neck alignment. CPAP may be intrusive to your sleep but you won't wake up tired.

      Yeah man, I'm with you on that. I hit the weights HARD 3-5 times a week ( 60-120 minutes per session ), cut out sugar and a lot of dairy, increased green veg significantly and no white bread/cake but still eating in the region of 2500-3000 calories per day to keep energy up and went walking ( pushing the pace ) for at least 4 hours a week ( typically two, two hour walks in the woods ) and it made a MASSIVE difference, a truly biblical difference! A long walk in the woods is as good as any sensory depravation tank... better even.

    Jerry, man... just keep on making yourself healthier. Treat your body right, and it will treat you right. You are on the right track, and it seems that you are making progress, just keep with it. When it gets hard to do, you just have to keep telling yourself that you have to do it. Keep doing that, and it will get easier and easier. One day you will all of a sudden realize that you no longer have depression or anxiety or panic attacks or fatigue, and you didn't even notice it happening.

    We recently vacationed in Jamaica and I found that floating around in the sea was a huge help with my back/leg/knee pain. Chlorine in pools burns me and my tub is far too shallow and short. I spent a week in Negril absolutely pain free with just a few hours of lazy floating. For those who will, no doubt make a "Jamaican weed" comment, yes, I did partake, but only at night and I slept like a baby.

    I've never done sensory deprivation, interesting! part of the reason you feel so relaxed from that is because of the Epsom salt. it has magnesium in it which promotes deep restful sleep which is why people drink natural calm or rub magnesium oil on their skin before going to sleep. the magnesium from stuff like epsom salt is a good thing since most Americans are deficient in that mineral. the problem is, there are 92 different minerals a plant can uptake and farmers only put 7 minerals back into the soil. it's basically strip mining the soil of all it's nutrients. this has been known that the soil's nutrition is gone since the 30's when the government got together and decided the answer to the problem is to take those nutrients orally, thus vitamins where invented. halfway thru college i got major panic disorder so bad i was having them multiple times a day especially in class, so i had to drop out. i tried everything... it wasn't until i had a year long stint being a raw foodist that i got it under control. i'm not raw anymore but i still eat quite a few raw foods still. I've found that is i take my vitamins (garden of life brand) and eat a leafy green salad or drink a green juice.. somehow get a minimum of 1 bunch of raw leafy greens into me daily, i don't have anxiety issues. raw foodist say it's because some of the amino acids needed to make happy brain chemicals get denatured when cooked.. i'm no scientist but it works for me... I've been unmedicated and managing my panic disorder naturally now for 6 years, i average 2 to 4 meltdowns a year and that mostly only happens because people can be jerks. going from 4 to 9 panic attacks a week to 2 to 4 a year... thats big! I can't say what the right thing to do for you is, but you do need to figure out how to get more raw leafy greens into you're diet and take vitamins in their most natural and biologically available form from a trusted company. i usually go with the ones a lot of different extremist health nuts agree on. garden of life is easy to find and works for me, i feel the difference on and off them... and please don't take conventional ones like centrium unless you like pooping out solid pills that have so many binders in them, they never dissolve. anyways, good luck! Love the 3d printing vids

    • @Barnacules
      @Barnacules  7 лет назад +1

      That is fantastic information. I certainly felt super relaxed. I might have to try some Epsom salt heavy baths at home also. I've done it in the past but never with a lot of salt only a few cups. I bet if I used a whole $5 bag in a bath and soaked for an hour I would be exhausted afterwards. But there is nothing as comfortable as being in one of those float tanks all spread out.

I have lost 65 Pounds, and I started when you started I sometimes have trouble seeing the change so I look at old photos of myself and it makes me feel more positively about myself. Jeeeeeeeeeeerry, I love you man. Sorry about the mental issues. Have some similar problems. Most of my fatigue issues stem directly the depression (so i'm told). Just know that we are here for you. Be strong big papa! YOU CAN OVERCOME ANYTHING!

    In response to some of the questions to the sanitation issue, as Barnacules mentioned one would be filtration,, but I would guess at least some of the light is uv band for bacterial control.. as well as temperature and chemical treatment .. Glad to see you back and hope you find a path to the wellness you are seeking.

    My friend had done a sensory deprivation tank before, there's one nearby that he went to, and he suffers from back pains as well and he said it was one of the best experiences of his life. All the tension and strain on his back disappeared soon after hopping in there, and for a full day afterwards he felt almost weightless because he could stretch and move without any kind of pain. He was able to go on a walk around his block without feeling like gravity had suddenly tripled on him. I really REALLY want to try it out sometime when I have some extra cash.
