How hilarious would it be if you got in the deprivation tank and got extremely relaxed and had diarrhea? Explaining to the lady how you shit up her life pod... soo so embarrassing.
Yea, thats what i was thinking. Im on a cpap machine at night and its so much better in the mornings for me. I actually wake up with energy in the mornings now.
Sadly there isnt a miracle cure for anxiety and depression. But what really reduced the symptoms for me, was focusing on eating well and getting plenty exercise. Good luck with your quest Barnacules.
Rathian Solo yes, this is the answer. Just exercise and caring about yourself. Once I started lifting 4 years ago it pretty much disappeared. It seems like he tried everything except effort
Positive Changes does mental exercises for anxiety and other things, lots of people swear by it. Not sure what they charge. I take Vitamin D3 gummies and a Magnesium, study shows about 80 percent of Americans are deficient in magnesium not to mention if you live above New Mexico probably Vitamin D as well. Some of my issues is growing up with a German mother, you never know when she was going to go off on your ass for no reason at all.
Glad you made a video man. Been missing your content and wondering how you have been doing . I dont normally comment on youtubers video but felt it neccesary since I was one of the silent majority. Glad you are doing well and keep making these videos bro! We all love you long time!
Jerry, been following you for years and u are legit, way to real, way to honest, and way more open than I think any RUclipsr is or should be. Mad respect for u being u and I hope and pray you work through your struggles and love your vids and content!
hey Jerry, if you're waking up fatigued, go get a sleep study, you may have apnea. I hate to point this out but it's common in the upper-size (no offense please) person due to upper back to neck alignment. CPAP may be intrusive to your sleep but you won't wake up tired.
my pops passed away in December when I was 9. I deal with seasonal depression and it comes on full force, even when I expect it. I wish I could do something like this just to see if it helps, but wisdom from others suffering the same has always helped. thank you for being open about everything, Jerry. it helps to talk about it as much as it helps to listen
I had the exact same thing you describe, being tired going to bed, being tired waking up and never feeling awake. My solution was D-vitamin levels, mine were down to 40. I now take 50ug a day for the rest of my life. It helped me after a month!
I've heard that cool showers are meant cause an extreme burst of stress and apparently having lots of cool showers can cause your brain to learn how to build up a tolerance to stresses caused by anxiety Never tried it though.
Happy to see a fellow bigger person doing this who also has pain issues. I also bought a groupon for a local place and I am going tomorrow. Thanks for the tips and I am even more excited than before!
Yeah man, I'm with you on that. I hit the weights HARD 3-5 times a week ( 60-120 minutes per session ), cut out sugar and a lot of dairy, increased green veg significantly and no white bread/cake but still eating in the region of 2500-3000 calories per day to keep energy up and went walking ( pushing the pace ) for at least 4 hours a week ( typically two, two hour walks in the woods ) and it made a MASSIVE difference, a truly biblical difference! A long walk in the woods is as good as any sensory depravation tank... better even.
Hey jerry. im a freshmen and i was always getting sick and depressed. but you know what got me out of it is working out. working out gets more body moving. trust me it was the best decision i ever made. i go 5 times a week and a hour at a time.
might be expensive but try getting a nutritionist could be tired from lack of food energy, also idk if you have heard of it but ddp yoga does wonders if you stick with it
Jerry, man... just keep on making yourself healthier. Treat your body right, and it will treat you right. You are on the right track, and it seems that you are making progress, just keep with it. When it gets hard to do, you just have to keep telling yourself that you have to do it. Keep doing that, and it will get easier and easier. One day you will all of a sudden realize that you no longer have depression or anxiety or panic attacks or fatigue, and you didn't even notice it happening.
Jerry you really gotta quit apologizing for not making videos you owe us nothing we appreciate everything that you do. you're allowed to take time for yourself you're human. glad to see you're back and doing better looking forward to you next video.
Hey Barnacules. Have your doctor test your estrogen and testosterone levels. High levels of estrogen in males can cause all of the problems you stated (from experience).
We recently vacationed in Jamaica and I found that floating around in the sea was a huge help with my back/leg/knee pain. Chlorine in pools burns me and my tub is far too shallow and short. I spent a week in Negril absolutely pain free with just a few hours of lazy floating. For those who will, no doubt make a "Jamaican weed" comment, yes, I did partake, but only at night and I slept like a baby.
I've never done sensory deprivation, interesting! part of the reason you feel so relaxed from that is because of the Epsom salt. it has magnesium in it which promotes deep restful sleep which is why people drink natural calm or rub magnesium oil on their skin before going to sleep. the magnesium from stuff like epsom salt is a good thing since most Americans are deficient in that mineral. the problem is, there are 92 different minerals a plant can uptake and farmers only put 7 minerals back into the soil. it's basically strip mining the soil of all it's nutrients. this has been known that the soil's nutrition is gone since the 30's when the government got together and decided the answer to the problem is to take those nutrients orally, thus vitamins where invented. halfway thru college i got major panic disorder so bad i was having them multiple times a day especially in class, so i had to drop out. i tried everything... it wasn't until i had a year long stint being a raw foodist that i got it under control. i'm not raw anymore but i still eat quite a few raw foods still. I've found that is i take my vitamins (garden of life brand) and eat a leafy green salad or drink a green juice.. somehow get a minimum of 1 bunch of raw leafy greens into me daily, i don't have anxiety issues. raw foodist say it's because some of the amino acids needed to make happy brain chemicals get denatured when cooked.. i'm no scientist but it works for me... I've been unmedicated and managing my panic disorder naturally now for 6 years, i average 2 to 4 meltdowns a year and that mostly only happens because people can be jerks. going from 4 to 9 panic attacks a week to 2 to 4 a year... thats big! I can't say what the right thing to do for you is, but you do need to figure out how to get more raw leafy greens into you're diet and take vitamins in their most natural and biologically available form from a trusted company. i usually go with the ones a lot of different extremist health nuts agree on. garden of life is easy to find and works for me, i feel the difference on and off them... and please don't take conventional ones like centrium unless you like pooping out solid pills that have so many binders in them, they never dissolve. anyways, good luck! Love the 3d printing vids
That is fantastic information. I certainly felt super relaxed. I might have to try some Epsom salt heavy baths at home also. I've done it in the past but never with a lot of salt only a few cups. I bet if I used a whole $5 bag in a bath and soaked for an hour I would be exhausted afterwards. But there is nothing as comfortable as being in one of those float tanks all spread out.
I just did a 2 hour deprivation float last night. Amazing experience. You need to find the right place. Kinda gives your body and mind a hard reboot. A good float place can give you lasting effects for days. I recommend and am glad to see B trying it out.
Hey Jerry, something I like to do when I'm depressed is watch this guy named Barnacules on RUclips, his videos always bring me a smile ;) hope you never stop being silly and being yourself man
you know barniclese j really love watching your videos you do such a great job and you are such a great guy creating a such tight connection between the community. but I mean I was depressed for over a year because I was a runner and it was a great hobbie for me I loved it and I was very sad when I could not run anymore but I met someone great in my life and she has helped me a lot and I am only 16, but I have a lot of hobbies biking being outdoors and computer building and fixing thanks to you barnacles
I'm happy for you that you got to experience something that made you feel better and pain free even if it was just for a short time. Welcome back Barnacules, really missed you over the past month or so. Your videos are really entertaining and even informational, Thank you for becoming a youtuber!
@Barnacules Nerdgasm Tried my first float yesterday, my lumbar pain got bad enough that I was going on 24 hours awake, took my best friend and girlfriend and holy crap! I wasn't completely pain free but I felt a lot of knotts that were caused from me compensating for my pinched nerve released and I did start getting feeling back in my leg for the first time in a month! Also totally slept like a log after. Thank you so much for this video!
Maybe you have Mano. No need for depression. You seem so happy and you have about a million people subscribed to you to see your amazing, talented skills. You are an amazing an unique person who brings joy to a crazy amount of people
i have really missed your videos!!! I'm glad you have found something that helps, I know what its like to have anxiety and depression! but glad you back doing what you do best
Thanks so much for posting this video ..... My daughter is 18 and suffers with these issues and takes medication for it I am definitely going to look into this for her..... Thanks again
Its so nice to see you back again , there is something about deepcleening your mancave or eaven remodeling that makes it just feel new and fresh again. Those places tend to be a little booring at the end, mostly asteticswise after a while. Its nice to see that you are feeling well and keep doing the floating sessions, they seem to do just good for you, best regards !
We had a place like this in Denver years ago called "Float to Relax" But back then the "pods" looked more like wooden coffins..so I tried it once and never went back! This place looks better... Nice to see you Jerry!
Forgot about this. Just searched and there is one less than a mile away from me! Looks to be the same exact tank as the one you were in. Excited to try. Glad it helped you!
Yo Jerry! Thanks for making this video! I have been having a lot of the same issues as you such as waking up tired, restless sleep, back pain, etc. Your video has made me aware of something I never even knew existed! I was so intrigued that I searched locally to find a place that has this and I am excited to say that I found one less than an hour away. Can't wait to try it out and hopefully I'll receive some much needed relief. Thank you so much for sharing your experience!
Glad to hear that it helped Barnacles! I tried it when I went to Portland and then I found out I have one near me. It's definitely an odd feeling when you get out. Like so relaxed and clear headed. My difference was that my mind did race a bit to solve problems but eventually it ran out of stuff and just calmed down.
For some reason, I feel like making one of these thing. Maybe a project for when I have more time and money. What can't be solved by having more time and money?
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING THIS VIDEO! Shocked I never thought of this! I suffer from most of all the same disabilities with being in pain daily etc. I have to try this out for sure!
Im glad to see your back and can tell that you have lost weight. I have lost 65 Pounds, and I started when you started I sometimes have trouble seeing the change so I look at old photos of myself and it makes me feel more positively about myself. Anyways cant wait to see your upcoming videos I know that they're gonna be great.
because of this video, me and my wife decided to try the floating pods. we loved it. there is also one in Renton Landing. the service was great. thanks for sharing Barnacules
Really interesting video my wife and I both suffer from anxiety and my wife has sever back pain. After seeing your experience we are defiantly going to give it a try an see if it helps us too. It would be great if you could do more videos on the things you try to help you with your conditions. Nice to see you back Jerry.
Jeeeeeeeeeeerry, I love you man. Sorry about the mental issues. Have some similar problems. Most of my fatigue issues stem directly the depression (so i'm told). Just know that we are here for you. Be strong big papa! YOU CAN OVERCOME ANYTHING!
In response to some of the questions to the sanitation issue, as Barnacules mentioned one would be filtration,, but I would guess at least some of the light is uv band for bacterial control.. as well as temperature and chemical treatment .. Glad to see you back and hope you find a path to the wellness you are seeking.
My friend had done a sensory deprivation tank before, there's one nearby that he went to, and he suffers from back pains as well and he said it was one of the best experiences of his life. All the tension and strain on his back disappeared soon after hopping in there, and for a full day afterwards he felt almost weightless because he could stretch and move without any kind of pain. He was able to go on a walk around his block without feeling like gravity had suddenly tripled on him. I really REALLY want to try it out sometime when I have some extra cash.
Thank you Jerry for content (in addition to all the other great stuff) 👍 From the bottom of my heart. And to all of you out there (yeah me too) that suffer, my heart goes out to you. Speak up and reach out for help. In this whole entire 🌎out there, there is only 1 you. And you matter. All of you guys. Love and respect fam. 🐸💜
How hilarious would it be if you got in the deprivation tank and got extremely relaxed and had diarrhea? Explaining to the lady how you shit up her life pod... soo so embarrassing.
+Jesse Crandle hahahaha, that would be bad....
You actually have to sign a form that if you pee or shit in the water you have to pay a huge fine
takes poop napping to a whole new level
Jesse Crandle *shits in pod*

Next Episode of Jerry Rigged: *DIY Sensory Deprivation Tank*
What could possibly go wrong?
+LazerLord10 how much does 1200lb of epsom salt and a kiddy pool cost?
Better question: How much does a kitty pool that can support 1200lb of epsom salt cost?
On SaltWorks website 24 50lb bags cost $1,031.76. and kiddie pools cost about anywhere from $15 - $50
Bath salts?
$1,840 all together excluding shipping. 20lb bag of epsom salt is $30 on Amazon so times that by 60 to get the 1200lbs and $40 for a kiddy pool. :D
oh my God I was so worried glad to see you back
even a vlog on the room upgrade would be good i enjoy any content he puts out
Came for gratuitous nudity promised on Twitter, stayed for the interesting content. Glad you're back!
Matthew Hays good to be back

Sadly there isnt a miracle cure for anxiety and depression. But what really reduced the symptoms for me, was focusing on eating well and getting plenty exercise. Good luck with your quest Barnacules.

I agree! Especially exercise and keeping myself busy.

Never tried it though.
+Ryan Graham i take a lot of hot showers. Maybe I should try some cool ones.
Barnacules Nerdgasm I recommend cold showers as it's helped me deal with anxiety and depression and has increased my energy levels.
Barnacules Nerdgasm i seen your tweet
i take ice cold showers every day. apparently it doesnt work for everyone.
Take your time. Whatever you need we are behind you!
So glad you're back @barnacules

I lost a lot of weight and my fatigue issues vanished. Really man, you're doing yourself a disservice by not losing the weight.
+Theoneblackguy258 I know, right?
***** How do you know? Are you weighing him? No. You are taking his word that he is sticking to his regiment and has lost those 47 pounds.

Jerry you really gotta quit apologizing for not making videos you owe us nothing we appreciate everything that you do. you're allowed to take time for yourself you're human. glad to see you're back and doing better looking forward to you next video.
+Oracle331 I'm apologizing to myself mostly.
Your depression is obviously stemming from Club Penguin being shutdown. What will happened?
Never give up on fighting those demogorgons!
Hey man for the tiredness try getting tested for celiac (or gluten sensitivity), got my energy levels back up.
YES!!!! I just did it for the first time the other day.GREAT stuff!
Hey Barnacules. Have your doctor test your estrogen and testosterone levels. High levels of estrogen in males can cause all of the problems you stated (from experience).
+Wayne Wilson I'll get it checked out at my next physical.
if l always want to punch everybody l see does that mean l have too much testosterone?
Ethan Cox no, it means you took me too seriously.

Thanks Jerry. I too suffer from a lot of the same and this gives me hope.

It would be great if you could do more videos on the things you try to help you with your conditions. Nice to see you back Jerry.
Welcome back Jerry! We always miss you when you are gone
Jeeeeeeeeeeerry, I love you man. Sorry about the mental issues. Have some similar problems. Most of my fatigue issues stem directly the depression (so i'm told). Just know that we are here for you. Be strong big papa! YOU CAN OVERCOME ANYTHING!
glad you're back jerry.......... Please keep coming back,I've missed you man
Glad to see you back Jerry and glad you enjoyed it
In response to some of the questions to the sanitation issue, as Barnacules mentioned one would be filtration,, but I would guess at least some of the light is uv band for bacterial control.. as well as temperature and chemical treatment .. Glad to see you back and hope you find a path to the wellness you are seeking.
He's back! Thank god! I was starting to stress baby doll.
I remember my first time in a float tank. I loved it!!! My friend bought a tank because he got addicted to it, and he wanted to save money
Man, i'm so happy you're back to making videos. I need my dose of Barnacules
This looks absolutely awesome! I think I need that in my life. Never heard of it before.
