  • Ekajati is one of Mother Tara's most supremely wrathful forms. She is famous for her fierce protection from dangers, obstacles, and demons, her wish-granting powers, and her role as a Wisdom Mother. She is also, in her Blue Form, a supreme healer.
    She is associated with Blue Tara or Black Tara, and in the Surya Gupta Lineage of 21 Taras -- which is the source of this particular mantra -- she is the great Protector of the Merit Field of Taras. (Blue and Black are the same family, the Vajra Family, and is like the color of "space and emptiness.) The mantra from the Surya Gupta lineage is:
    Om Ekajati Hum Svaha
    Here, chanted by the amazing Yoko Dharma, in the Surya Gupta lineage style, as transmitted by Tara to the great Mahasiddha Surya Gupta. The lineages included: Tara Mulakalpa Tantra Lineage: Shakyamuni Buddha, Vajrapani, Hayapala, Hayaghosha, Rahulabhadra (Saraha), Nagarjuna, Aryadeva, Rahulabhadra the Younger, Jvalashespa, Dharma Bhadra Pala, Nagamitra, Suryagupta, after which it was brought to Tibet.
    Ekajati has different appearances in different lineages. Primarily blue (or black -- in Tibetan Buddhism they are the same family), from the Vajra family, she is either wrathful or semi-wrathful.
    In her most wrathful form, as a great Enlightened protectress she has one tooth and one eye and one plait of hair. (If she has only one eye, it is the open wisdom eye.) In the Surya Gupta form she is blue and wrathful but has three eyes. and sits on a sundisc in a pose like Tara with one leg outstretched. There is also a red form. Each may have different mantras. This particular mantra is from the Surya Gupta lineage of 21 Taras.
    All forms are still Ekajati and all are ultimately wrathful emanations of Tara.
    PERMISSION IS NOT REQUIRED for this mantra although it is beneficial to ask your teacher for lung (transmission) when the opportunity arises. However, the mantra is efficacious for those with faith, regardless.
    The mantra is available for download on Yoko Dharma's music website: yokodharma.com...

    Om ekajati hum svaha! I sever the connections with witches and demons I invited into my life. Every unwholesome thing shall have no purchase on me. I correct myself completely and I dedicate myself and my enlightenment to the benefit of all sentient beings. Sadhu! 🎉

      Glad you know that, black isn't always evil. That there are blue/black Goddess out there that fight the forces of evil. So next time you look,at a black woman 👠👠 try to see.👀 The good in her instead of the negative or evil. The racism that black people are going through. With attacks by white Europeans are increasing, just because, they are black people.

    This is fantastic! Keep up the good work of bringing forth the Protectors. They are sorely needed! Maybe someday even the silence over the Blue She-Wolf Tara protector will break--so far only mentioned by the Western scholars Stephan Beyer and Miranda Shaw (in "The Cult of Tara"; and "Buddhist Goddesses of India").

    Is it true that if there are many financial problems at home then listening to Yellow Tara Mantra will solve the financial problems?money attraction
    Yellow Tara Mother helps me, is it true?

    • @BuddhaWeekly
      @BuddhaWeekly  6 месяцев назад +3

      Yellow Tara always helps, she is the compassionate Mother (she helps in the way that's best for you). But, it's impossible to say yes to the word "true" so read on please, because there's more to Buddhist mantras than listening. In the 21 Taras there are five yellow golden Taras. The 11th Tara is also Vasudhara, who is the Tara for Prosperity but also for removing the obstacle of poverty. Yellow Taras are the "enriching" activities of the Buddhas. But Tara is a practice and with practice there's more to her practice than listening to mantras. (Actually chanting mantras is much better than simply listening. If you're playing the chant, you should be chanting along and thinking of Yellow Tara).
      We have a video on Yellow Tara Vasudhara here with her mantras in the video: ruclips.net/video/yKy169-PYHA/видео.html&t (This isn't a chanted mantra, but her mantra is very simple to chant yourself. In the near future we will publish this mantra as a chant.
      This is a Buddhist practice, which not a formula that you can say "true". It requires Bodhichitta intention for example. You should take refuge in the Three Jewels first (Buddha, Dharma and Sangha).You should have faith. A guidance of a teacher is helpful, but not everyone is so fortunate, so you rely on Tara if you don't have a teacher, but that means having faith in her. So, my answer is a qualified yes, it's helpful. Playing a mantra in the house plants the seeds. Tara always helps. She's the mother. But by chanting mantras you are creating merit, which helps overcome negativity (such as past karma). Merit is the remedy. Where does merit come from? From taking refuge. Making offerings. Practicing generosity and the other perfections (Generosity doesn't mean giving away your money -- you can be generous by helping others (a neighbor, a friend, a sick one). For prosperity practice, the teachings always advise generosity (like I said, being generous doesn't mean money. It means helping others.)
      Helping others it he main merit accumulating remedy. Even if you're not in the position to help, you still dedicate the merit of your mantras to the benefit of others as well as yourself. So, when you finish chanting the mantras, you state that intention out loud and mean it: "I dedicate the merit of these mantras to the cause for prosperity for myself and others so that we can benefit others." Bodhichitta is, in fact, the main merit requirement of all mantras. So, the three requirements of any mantra are:
      Refuge in the Three Jewels: "I take refuge in the Buddha, the Dharma and the Sangha."
      Faith in Tara and the Three Jewels
      Bodhichitta Intention.
      Ideally, you chant out loud or mentally... try to be more active than listening only. Think about the meaning. Think about Tara. Think about the good you will do for others if you have the resources such as money. End with dedication of the merit: "I dedicate the merit of this practice to the benefit of all sentient beings.'
      Hope that helps.

    Is it ekjati or ekjata ?
    In India we always call her ekjata tara.

    • @BuddhaWeekly
      @BuddhaWeekly  5 месяцев назад +1

      It is actually Ekajati. Sanskrit, which in Sanskrit means: "One Plait Woman" She's also called Māhacīnatārā . It can also be ēkajāta (एकजात) but not ekjati or ekjata (i.e. there's a after the k as in eka ). The difference between a and i on a suffix in Sanskrit is normally contextual. For example Kurukulla is the goddess (not Kurukulle) but in the mantra it is "Kurukuklle" due to context of the mantra. Thanks for asking. In kindness, BW 🙏🙏🙏
