My headcanon is Link and Zelda have a Phineas and Ferb kind of relationship. Due to Link being a silent type, I imagine he rarely speaks and when he does it's always for an important purpose. And Zelda is the definite type to talk his ear off about her research or new discoveries or things she's excited about in general. I really wanted to see more instances of these two interacting in a casual setting because they seem like they have very chaotic energy. I'm at the start of the video, so I don't know if this gets corrected later. The Japanese version of the game does NOT say "our house." A disclaimer, I think the two do live together in the house. What I'm about to say is only a correction on this, fairly common myth, on what the Japanese says. There are two places the house is talked about; Zelda's Journal, and the title of the well. In the journal Zelda calls the house "家" (pronounced: ee-eh) which is just the Japanese word for "house" or "the house." It is possible, with context, for that word to mean a shared house, but that context doesn't exist, from what I've seen, in Zelda's journal. She just calls it "the house." The well title in Japanese is "ゼルダの家の井戸" (pronounced: zeruda no ee-eh no ee-doh) which is just "Zelda's house well" or "Zelda's house's well." Also, since I'm talking Japanese, the ending phrase that Zelda uses, "ただいま" (pronounced: tadaima) is used by family members and people that the speaker is very close to. So that part is correct.
Just wondering I am aware that the translation of the diary is “the house” witch is still more neutral than English But regardless. Is the tadaima super strong evedance for Zelda and link being lovers? I’ve seen this mentioned by multiple native speakers suck as yourself I’ve seen some say that Zelda could only say that specific tadaima if she was in relationship with link because it’s only ment for family or lovers. As a zelink shipper, Link isn't a blank slate. He is an Action Figure or a Ken Doll. Yeah, he has a backstory and an intended personality given context, but he can take on whatever personality the player wants with him. You want him to be the silent hero going around righting wrongs and saving the love of his life, the Princess Zelda. Go for it. You want him to be transgender and slaying it with all his fabulous outfits in between slaying Lynels and Gleeox. You do you. Do you want him to be Goku running along the long backs of dragons with his Super Saiyan 3 hair flowing in the wind? Go for it. Or mix and match any personality traits you want whenever it suits your fancy.
but why does link get a new house in totk (btw i belive in the relationship of them, some of ur points inn the video , i can not garee with, but all in all i think they are a couple)
I wonder...why would Link ever need the option to build a new house far away near TarreyTown, if some say that with all the supposed evidence at hand that his old house in Hateno is now "their" house and not just Zelda's? Nintendo could've just as easily changed the layout of the house in Hateno and retroactively tell the player that in the years since BotW there has been minor extensionwork to accomodate them both living there now. However, Nintendo shoving the player towards TarreyTown for a new house, while still providing enough details for ZeLink shippers to gush over in Hateno, is perhaps Nintendos' way of appeasing the shippers but still not make it official or something. xD Every player in their own head-canon can of course still occupy the old house in Hateno as is, since Link is able to sleep in the bed, but any items stored there on the ground to "live that head-canon" won't persist I believe.
People can own more than one house, it's not rocket science lol. Also, if Link doesn't live with Zelda with Hateno then Zelda has no actual reason nor motivation to move out of Hyrule Castle and into Hateno Village in the first place. Zelda is never stated to have any personal connection nor history with Hateno in BotW nor TotK, but Link actually does since that house was the one he and his family lived in before the Calamity happened. So Zelda all-of-a-sudden deciding to leave the Castle to take Link's old house without living with him would make absolutely no sense and would be completely random.
Its stated in-game that the dream houses are for people ready to 'settle down' and have a family. The house in Hateno is big enough for the two of them but if maybe they were planning on getting married and possibly planning to have kids, that would be a good reason to build a new house.
Whilst there's strong evidence to say that Zelda is interested in Link, there's not a lot to say Link is. Link and Mipha were close enough to the point Mipha was outright going to propose to him. For Link, only a couple years have passed since he lost her and in my mind he still needs to mourn.
Not true link has never been shown to be interested in mipha there has not been a time where he has shown affection or said something implying he is interested in mipha. Plus she is dead there is no competition from a dead fish. And link shows interest in Zelda the strongest thing supporting this is after he learns Zelda is in love with him via the kass song. In the Japanese version of Btow he states “I must respond to her feelings” so he is definitely interested secondly he also states “I want to see her smile again with these eyes of my own” after he collects all 13 memorys
@@wiskerfall4519 yes she’s dead, but you don’t plan on proposing to someone unless you’re close. And if she’s dead then let the man mourn her for Christs sake. Just because she’s dead doesn’t mean he’s just gonna get with whichever girl is next. Links relationships are up to interpretation and Mipha and link were so heavily hinted at time and time again whereas for Zelda there’s one time they canonically spoke

Every player in their own head-canon can of course still occupy the old house in Hateno as is, since Link is able to sleep in the bed, but any items stored there on the ground to "live that head-canon" won't persist I believe.
@@wiskerfall4519 and I didn’t say Zelda didn’t like him, I said there’s just nothing showing link cares that way back.
@@wiskerfall4519 link cares for Zelda, but the best point that can be made is that it’s a family type of love on his side.
@@mrbiscuits001 dude did you look at what I said “I must respond to her wishes/feels” her feelings is her love for link plus this in conjunction with the silent princess evedance shows that he moved on
