I was also at the show in Indianapolis and genuinely a core memory for me will be at the end when everyone gave you a standing ovation and the room was filled with love and support and the look on your face I’ll never forget, it brought tears to my eyes. Colleen, I’ve watched you for over ten years - and I’ve stuck around because you are so relatable. We’ve gone through major life events (the good and the bad) in similar time frames. My mom has always told me “this too shall pass” and I was even able to get it tattooed on me. All this to say, we are glad you are here. You make this world feel a little less lonely.
‼️ What you could do with your rocks‼️ You could learn how to wire wrap them, either for jewelry or as a display! That is something nice to do to keep your hands busy in times of anxiety / stress as a sort of “meditative” practice! Then you could wear them if you want / or as a sculptural piece for shelves!

I came with my now husband and we gave you a wedding invite and a letter with a piece of rose quartz and i just need to know that you still have it! That rose quartz was one of my favorites because it was in the first batch of rocks i ever tumbled! (Which is why its not very shiny lol i had no idea what i was doing either but i ended up liking it way more because of its texture) I carried it around with me through some really tough times and i knew in june that it had served its purpose with me and that you needed it more 💜 i absolutely adore you and wish i wouldnt have had a massive brain fart when i met you coz i had so much more i wanted to say! For my daughters wedding reception, we put rocks on the tables and asked each guest to write “words of wisdom”, funny anecdotes or advice; then turn the rock over and sign them. We bought a pretty, clear vase and she put them in it. Whenever she’s having a bad day or her and her husband aren’t getting along, she dumps out the rocks and reads some of them. Maybe you could find a nice vase that will grow with your collecting that you can dump out whenever you want to look thru them. Just an idea! Love how the twins like to snuggle when they first wake up! So dang cute! 🤗

for the rock-lamp idea, my parents have these sort of candler holders. Basically it is a glass jar/bowl, and you put a good amount of rocks in it and then you put a big candle in and kind of bury the bottom of the candle. My parents didn't put real candles in because it would probably ruin the rocks with all the wax but they put a fake one instead. Since the jar/bowl is open, you can still examine your rocks whenever you want!!
I have the word Hope tattooed on my wrist and part of the H is the ribbon for mental health. I struggled (and still do) with my anxiety and depression but there is always hope that tomorrow will be better. ❤

I definitely prefer the less/no editing. I feel like the point of the vlogs is basically to hang out with a friend. That vibe gets kinda thrown off by all the editing.

ROCK DISPLAY IDEA!! you have GOT to get an old thrifted printers tray. It’s got all the fun little nooks and crannies for different size rocks. You can hang it on the wall, or get a piece of glass to lay on top and make a cute lil table (plus it keeps the dust low) 🥰🥰 I’ve got several showing off my rock collection
GET THE TATTOO! After going through some really rough crap, I got my first tattoo. It’s just the words, “Be Happy” on my wrist, reminding me to take care of myself and my own happiness (I was always super focused on making everyone else happy at the expense of myself). Since then, it has been a great reminder. Even during this year-cancer diagnosis, mastectomy, chemotherapy, radiation, and endocrine therapy-my tattoo reminded me to find my happiness. And I have! In spite of everything, this has been one of the happiest years of my life! All that to say, GET THE TATTOO! I’ll never regret having that meaningful reminder on my arm. I don’t think you will either.

A really cool rock you should look up is called a Petoskey stone. It comes from a town I grew up near called Petoskey, Michigan.🥰 And what my mom and I do with her tumbled rocks is make jewelery.

Children truly give the best advice because they see the world in the simplest way, whereas us adults have seen so much and experienced so much of the world and life that we can no longer see it like that. I suggest getting see through plant vases that have a big opening so easy to put rocks in and out of it then get some fake flowers that you can poke in the vase with the rocks that way it will look really pretty but you can also take the flowers out to then take the rocks out and look at them 😊
You could get one of those old backgammon tables with the glass "lid" (i think they have drawers?) and put the rocks in there! Someone on our LEGO group did it with all their lego flowers it looked awesome! ❤
I have an idea for the rocks!! My grandma used to collect a ton of shells and rocks and crystals and all sorts of cool things, and they keep and display them in a glass table! There’s basically a table under a glass table that you can put the things on and see them on display, but you can also reach your hand in and pull them out and look at them!
What if you had a coffee table with a clear top that has a shelf under it. That way you could spread the rocks out and display them but they would still be accessible. Could be something to craft if you can't find the exact coffee table.

I collect shells and the way I store them/display them is I went to a thrift shop and found these cool old mason jars and have filled them with my shells and sea glass and have them on a shelf as decor but easy to take down and open if you wanted to look at them up close.

Make a Shadowbox Table. My mom is OBSESSED with seashells. She made a table with glass sliding doors. So you can see the rocks but rearrange them whenever you want as well! She loves it & still arranges shells in there years later. 🤗
A really super cool way to display you rocks is to get a frame that is kind of like a shadow box.Its hard to descibe. At my doctors office they had these shadow boxes on the wall that had beautiful rocks in them. At the end of treatment you get to choose a polished rock and add it to the frame. Its cool because every rock represents someone who went through what your going through and they got better and healed and placed their rock that they picked in the box. Anyway, its an acrylic frame you can see through it on all side and you hang it on the wall. That is one way you could display hour rocks but can easi!y take them out to look at them.

For my daughters wedding reception, we put rocks on the tables and asked each guest to write “words of wisdom”, funny anecdotes or advice; then turn the rock over and sign them. We bought a pretty, clear vase and she put them in it. Whenever she’s having a bad day or her and her husband aren’t getting along, she dumps out the rocks and reads some of them. Maybe you could find a nice vase that will grow with your collecting that you can dump out whenever you want to look thru them. Just an idea! Love how the twins like to snuggle when they first wake up! So dang cute! 🤗

for the rock-lamp idea, my parents have these sort of candler holders. Basically it is a glass jar/bowl, and you put a good amount of rocks in it and then you put a big candle in and kind of bury the bottom of the candle. My parents didn't put real candles in because it would probably ruin the rocks with all the wax but they put a fake one instead. Since the jar/bowl is open, you can still examine your rocks whenever you want!!
I have the word Hope tattooed on my wrist and part of the H is the ribbon for mental health. I struggled (and still do) with my anxiety and depression but there is always hope that tomorrow will be better. ❤

Maybe have a table of some kind (coffee, kitchen, end table, etc.) made that has a glass top that you can still open up to add or take out your rocks. Kinda like a huge shadow box with legs........does that make sense?? I definitely prefer the less/no editing. I feel like the point of the vlogs is basically to hang out with a friend. That vibe gets kinda thrown off by all the editing.
Just like a rock we all have a ugly stage in life and it only takes one person or fan group to pick you up off the ground wash you off and tumble all that dirt off and polish you so that you can be the new and improved version of yourself. ROCK DISPLAY IDEA!! you have GOT to get an old thrifted printers tray. It’s got all the fun little nooks and crannies for different size rocks. You can hang it on the wall, or get a piece of glass to lay on top and make a cute lil table (plus it keeps the dust low) 🥰🥰 I’ve got several showing off my rock collection

GET THE TATTOO! After going through some really rough crap, I got my first tattoo. It’s just the words, “Be Happy” on my wrist, reminding me to take care of myself and my own happiness (I was always super focused on making everyone else happy at the expense of myself). Since then, it has been a great reminder. Even during this year-cancer diagnosis, mastectomy, chemotherapy, radiation, and endocrine therapy-my tattoo reminded me to find my happiness. And I have! In spite of everything, this has been one of the happiest years of my life! All that to say, GET THE TATTOO! I’ll never regret having that meaningful reminder on my arm. I don’t think you will either.
Also, “Be Happy” is something my dad always says, so it makes me think of him too.

Children truly give the best advice because they see the world in the simplest way, whereas us adults have seen so much and experienced so much of the world and life that we can no longer see it like that. Everything is so complicated and murky. The best advice comes out of those who see something at its purest form. ❤️

I suggest getting see through plant vases that have a big opening so easy to put rocks in and out of it then get some fake flowers that you can poke in the vase with the rocks that way it will look really pretty but you can also take the flowers out to then take the rocks out and look at them 😊
You could get one of those old backgammon tables with the glass "lid" (i think they have drawers?) and put the rocks in there! Someone on our LEGO group did it with all their lego flowers it looked awesome! ❤

I have an idea for the rocks!! My grandma used to collect a ton of shells and rocks and crystals and all sorts of cool things, and they keep and display them in a glass table! There’s basically a table under a glass table that you can put the things on and see them on display, but you can also reach your hand in and pull them out and look at them!
What if you had a coffee table with a clear top that has a shelf under it. That way you could spread the rocks out and display them but they would still be accessible. Could be something to craft if you can't find the exact coffee table.

I collect shells and the way I store them/display them is I went to a thrift shop and found these cool old mason jars and have filled them with my shells and sea glass and have them on a shelf as decor but easy to take down and open if you wanted to look at them up close.

For your rock display you should get a glass either side table or coffee table that has an opening display center! It would be so gorgeous and a really cool piece of furniture that you got to make! You could also open it at any time to add more or look at the rocks super easily!!

Coleen i used to work in a care home night shift 8pm till 8am and it was really hard but on the night about 1 in the morning when everyone was a asleep I used to wash up it would take me hours but I would used to listen to your podcast relax and it would just lift my spirits make me laugh I just thought I’d share this story with you I love u I’m so happy your back

Make a Shadowbox Table. My mom is OBSESSED with seashells. She made a table with glass sliding doors. So you can see the rocks but rearrange them whenever you want as well! She loves it & still arranges shells in there years later. 🤗
A really super cool way to display you rocks is to get a frame that is kind of like a shadow box.Its hard to descibe. At my doctors office they had these shadow boxes on the wall that had beautiful rocks in them. At the end of treatment you get to choose a polished rock and add it to the frame. Its cool because every rock represents someone who went through what your going through and they got better and healed and placed their rock that they picked in the box. Anyway, its an acrylic frame you can see through it on all side and you hang it on the wall. That is one way you could display hour rocks but can easi!y take them out to look at them.
