    I have several BluOS devices and just added the C3050 and can say they are all easy to use and sound great.

    I love the retro look too. I have had the NAD C 3050 for several months now and it its working out great. It is currently driving a pair of Totem Sky Tower speakers with a subwoofer and it all sounds good. But I really like the looks of the PSB Passif 50 speakers shown in this video. Can you tell me if it would be a sound upgrade (or just an appearance upgrade) if I switched out the Totems for the Passif 50's?

      We love the Totem Sky Tower, and we're glad you are having success. Not being PSB dealers, we can't compare them unfortunately

      Yes - not everyone digs the retro vibe, but if you do, this amp is cool

    Is there the ability to add another amp to get more than 100w per channel or to upgrade?

    • @GramophoneMD
      @GramophoneMD  Месяц назад +1

      Hello Wear - yes, you have both subwoofer out, for adding a lot more power and dynamics to your low end sound, as well as stereo RCA preamp outputs for connecting a separate, more powerful amplifier. Upgrade paths are good!

    Beautiful photography/videography of this product. Balance control partially functional, VU lights can not be switched off (too bright) if listening in dark rooms or at night, VU too sensitive always dances at the extreme end. Volume LEDs are not calibrated or are meant to function in a sticky way. Sound is clean but digital, lean in comparison to Yamaha, unlike AB or A class Amps. The only reason to buy this over Yamaha 501, 701, 801, 1200 would be to get BluOS & Dirac.
    I personally auditioned and got the 801 Yamaha for beautiful SQ.

      Thank you for the videography compliments! Depending on the speakers one winds up with, the "lean" sound of the NAD can be a benefit. BluOS 4.0 and Dirac can be big benefits too. We carry and enthusiastically endorse Yamaha - there are many ways to assemble a great system for the money, right?

      Thanks for your review. I was considering this amp, but you said it sounds digital, which is exactly why I sold my Marantz PM8006 and bought a vintage Pioneer SA-8800.

      @@GramophoneMD thanks. One last question. The 3050 has eARC but does that mean it has HDMI CEC as well? Thanks.

    Is it actually 100 watts at 8 ohms?

    • @GramophoneMD
      @GramophoneMD  3 месяца назад

      Hello White, we have not connected one on the test bench to verify, but yes NAD spec's this at 100 watts per channel into an 8 ohm load, and they are usually pretty conservative in their specifications

      @@GramophoneMD Thanks for a reply,but how can it be 100 watts at 4 and 8 ohms? Just a bit confused

    • @GramophoneMD
      @GramophoneMD  Месяц назад

      @@white9093 Hello White, some amps are able to feed more power into a lower impedance load, for example 100 / 8 ohms, 150 / 4 ohms. Many Class D amps are spec'd at the same power into ether one. Reach out to us if you have questions about matching up to your speakers: ask@gramophone.com
