    I don’t know if you read comments from a year ago but I would like to say thank you a lot for going literally step by step for the mechanisms. It’s very easy to follow and I appreciate that!

    Hi Chad, thanks for being a total saving grace. Would you be able to do a video on hydration of vinyl ether?

    God bless you and your videos. You truly deserve more views. Your channel arguably has the best chem review videos I have found on all of youtube, nobody explains as well as you do. I will be returning once its time to study for the DAT.

    awesome video, I liked the vid and really appreciate this playlist being available and with such high quality
    just a quick question - throughout the video, is hemiacetal being used interchangeably with hemiketal (and same with acetal ketal)? like for instance, at 2:00 the ketone being turned into a 'hemiacetal' is a hemiketal right?
    thanks prof you're the goat

    • @ChadsPrep
      @ChadsPrep  10 месяцев назад +1

      a hemiacetal is formed when an alcohol adds to an aldehyde and when hemiketal is formed when an alcohol adds to a ketone. Thank you for pointing this out!

    This is kicking my acetal, chaddy daddy

  • @bboir
    @bboir 8 месяцев назад +1

    sir, isn't Acetal or hemiacetal formed by the addition of Aldehyde + Alcohol? NOT Ketone + Alcohol. the later would form Ketal and hemiketal depending on the condition. Hopefully you will see this

      @@ChadsPrep Are these conditions in the video still applying to ketals or acetals? Since the video has ketones.....
