Kiitos!
What a great video! Your conversation here, and throughout the year, in videos and out of them, has been a wonderful companion to me and I look forward to much much more in the year ahead. I know I owe you an email (I've been trying to get this very type of video made this weekend!) but I did want to publicly thank you for such a warm and wonderful channel.
No hurry with emails😄I’m just abusing your mailbox to vent my ranting pressure. I’m also happy if you’ve enjoyed them. Then it feels I’m giving back as your live streams were a very important for me during the first 6 months of 2023. Hanging out with the community is such a great way to forget all the worries of the world. I watched the 1st part of your vid already! Keep ’em coming my friend🤘🏻
It’s one of those comics that require your attention. Not to read in a hurry, I think. But hey, if you haven’t read it yet it must be because you’ve reading something else💪🏻Any memorable old/new reads you can think of from 2023?
I did enjoy the writing particularly. The main character was complex and his motives humanly unexplainable. You could read what you wanted into his actions. Just last week I got to look at Nury's Katanga-series in Copenhagen. Very interesting! I almost bought the first volume but made a last second swap to Regis Loisels Le Grand Mort. All these books were in Danish so I only took the first volume for now as it means some more Google Lensin:)
That’s a silly idea. Whoever came up with it should be banned. 🤔and before I’m banned, I must say I feel like this year will be European comics overload for me.
I do hope you find it to your taste. I’ve been almost pushing people to try it🫣 I was after the German editions too but it seems they aren’t printing them anymore. But I did buy volumes 19 and 20 in panic. Working on my German😄Now the Danish edition seems to be discontinuing also. I may have to buy the missing volumes in French too. However that will be purely Google Lens experience for me.
@@analogcomics I started them because of your recommendation! I decided that learning to read French was the only sensible thing to do if one likes French comics.... not quite at that level yet, but getting there. in the meantime, I can collect them secondhand in Belgium (not far for me) for around €8 each - as opposed to over €25 each in German.
For 8€/album it’s a steal! I have to say I admire your attitude with French language. I wish I was as resolute with French language. That is the best tool to truly open the treasurechest of BD.
Any new ideas here or is it all old news for you? Did - or would - any of these make it to your 2023 Best Reads-list?
Sunburn looks beautiful. ❤ Thank you for sharing your reading experiences of '23 and I wish you "Alles Gute" for 2024! 😊
I am happy to hear about the good news. Great channel, keep up the good work! Cheers from Brazil.
Kiitos tästäkin, oon löytänyt paljon uusia tuttavuuksia kauttasi. Hyvää kamaa.

@@analogcomics Dororo Omnibus and The Great Beyond were my favs this year.
@@evolscimoc2888 Haven’t read either of them and both look very interesting.
I have been thinking about grabbing Once Upon a Time in France. Fabien Nury is qn excellent writer

Forever War looks interesting 😊
For me it ticks all the right boxes of scifi.
What if you only highlighted books that I already own? That would save me a lot of money. 😎 great video, enjoyed your 2023 in comics.

I started buying second hand editions of Silage in French - the German editions are so expensive. Working on my French...
