As a former Muslim, forced to wear hijab since I was a little child, I thank you for your debate. Unfortunately in the west a lot of people are not aware of how insidious, backward, misogynistic, hateful Islam is. Daniel is just a representative of this dark belief system. Thanks again.
I think we are actually pretty aware, but when we try to call out the evil we are labeled as islamophobic and dismissed. There’s this crazy notion that all religious beliefs need to be accepted and tolerated. They have to be allowed, by law, but there is no law saying they aren’t allowed to be ridiculed and dismissed as horrible. I’m glad you were able to get out.
So happy to read your comment here. I live in Western Europe where a huge migration of mainly Muslims is underway. In many parts of Brussels you see more women with a hijab than women without. And I'm not happy about that. Democracy is about a majority of votes. What if you have more Muslims than non-Muslims in your city? Europe's capital.
@@johnholland9371 I completely follow you on this. I have no respect for a religion of any kind. I respect people for the way they behave in the world, regardless what of if they believe.
@@user-fd9di2fb8f I'm not contradicting you, but Belgium is clearly different from France. I work in Brussels, and in many places women with a jihab are clearly in the majority. What do you mean by 'I'm a Muslim atheist'. Honest question. I thought Muslim and Islam are linked, but am I wrong?
were gonna get Matt to do a ritual , wanna bet he gets knocked on his ass by Lucifer ?? LMAO Lucifer isn't shy it's his world. I've done over 30 rituals
I consider myself pretty experienced in the atheist community. I volunteer my time at my local humanist church whenever I can and I've been to countless protest for church and state separation. So I'd like to think I've seen it all and nothing could surprise me concerning the damage organized religion can do. So I must admit to feeling a little foolish when I was flabbergasted, jaw on the floor, by how many Muslims were defending child marriage in the comments of the debate. It was easily in the hundreds! I had no clue they were so open and brazen and unashamed. I thought this thing only existed on the dark web or something. For the first time ever I was hoping the NSA was listening in.
@@kar7195Worse, fundamental Muslims have to go against their own intuitive notion of right and wrong to defend the heinous acts of a child rapist, their prophet.
as an ex-Muslim I already expected that.. I hear them all the time defending it in Arabic platforms along with insults and death threats... in fact the moment you bring the subject they show you their enmity.. and sometimes they argue by saying "well you are an Atheist with no objective source of morals.. there is nothing preventing you from fraking your mom or your little sister so you can't criticize us.
The fact that Matt Dillahunty was in an open relationship with his ex-wife and let other men have sex with her and is currently dating a man who thinks he is a woman is proof alone of how non-sensical atheism is. Alhumdulillah for Islam.
I think we should engage with these people. Matt, I remember you often saying that you don't want to give these kinds of vile people a stage. I think we should and we have to expose them for what they are and not forget how to deal with and argue with twisted ideas like the ones of Daniel.
I'm not familiar with Christian debaters, but as an exmuslim, the amount of dishonesty from muslim debaters and scholars is insane. My entire journey to deconstruct my belief started by finding out lies told by so called muslim scholars about scientific miracles in the quran. I started to fact check everything they say and the amount of lies and dishonesty astonished me.
@devilinside6419 Can you give examples of scientific miracles in the quran that are actually miracles and not someone's interpretation of superstitious nonsense?
@@devilinside6419 all of them, if someone says it's scientific miracle it's a lie. Moon splitting, embryology, seas don't mix, mountains as pegs, or anything you can think of. Dont worry much, christian apologist do the same, they simply had more time to smuggle in the lies and veil their disnhonesty (frank turek is a great example of this dishonesty). Muslim apologists are simply starting, give them a few decades practicing against people who actually can say "that is bs" and they will get to the same point christianity is nwoadays (and *very* likely where they still remain).
I was at this debate in person. You can't hear it well on the audio but the crowd got LOUD at several points, mostly to jeer at Daniel. Thanks for enduring him for us, Matt.
Daniel claimed ignorance so he could take a bigoted jab at Matt's relationship. Then you can see his enjoyment when Matt called him a liar. Something really weird and creepy about that guy.
His strategy and goal was to piss Matt off, so he was happy he accomplished it. I am just surprised moderator didn't intervene when it was obvious what was going to happen and changed the way it is moderated
@@desnick2316 he said he didn't have the courage to say it in his face, he demonstrated that was false. I would have done the same and accused him of fighting words.
Daniel thinks that something beneficial to a child like education which is mandated and it is for the betterment of a child and society is the same as forcing a child to get " married" ( raped) which he advocates for. When he debated Micheal Jones I was floored as to how many Muslims agreed with his position of child gr ape. Truly sickening!
I always saw mandatory education as something aimed more at the parents then children. As something that prevents parents from denying their children at least some level of education.
I am very glad you debated Daniel. You did a great service . Daniel showed how vile Islam truly is. Keep up your good work. Look forward to your next video review on this debate.

I've met Turkish, Pakistani, and Indonesian Muslims who are just as logical, practical, and progressive as I am. The people use religion as their excuse to be monstrous.
@rayraygoreng6264 Do they get their logic, practicality, and progressiveness from the Qur’an though? Or do they possess those qualities outside of what their religion would have them think? Moderate religious people are the ones that just ignore more of their holy book than the fundamentalists

It's super effective apparently. Some places and their religiously justified, extreme cocknugget leaders are _currently_ doing a better job than others of subjugation and abuse toward half of their population, in the name of righteous deity provided masculine superiority, is all. It's not for the lack of trying elsewhere though. Woah, hold on! I’m an atheist, but nobody ever told me about this when I joined the club. Where can I find these sex having, drug taking pods you speak of?
There is a famous saying about theists like Daniel, Nadir and etc : Arguing with theists is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are, the bird is going to just knock over the pieces, poop all over the board and strut around like it won anyway. That is the best analogy that I have ever seen. "It brings back memories of my past, during a time when I was a rigid and uninformed Muslim, steadfastly refusing to alter my beliefs regardless of how clear and logical the evidence against my claims appeared to be. I was defending (trying to defend) Islam for more than 20 years in the west. My sole conviction was that Islam was the one true religion, and anyone opposing it was unequivocally wrong, destined for damnation. Even when individuals demonstrated the fallacies in my arguments and I struggled to defend Islam, I attributed my shortcomings to a lack of sufficient knowledge about Islam. I firmly believed that Islamic scholars possessed all the answers to refute these objections and would easily dismantle the arguments of atheists in a debate. To be continued as an answer to my own comment down here :
But once I opened my mind , the facts and reality dismantled everything I had been taught and read within a short time. It was then I realized how wrong I had been for so many decades. I had accepted many lies within Islam as facts, even though I knew they were deceptions. I was also taught and became convinced that it is perfectly permissible to lie and deceive people because it is for their own good. You've likely heard of Taqiyya. As a defender of Islam, one learns precisely how to use it, and I became adept at it. In debates with Muslims, they often try to evade facts and reality. Instead, they appeal to intuition, faith, instincts, and similar notions. When that doesn't work, they resort to reminding you of the torments of hell. Simultaneously, they dangle the promise of countless virgins in the afterlife if you accept Islam. By the way, the Quran mentions many times how fair-skinned the girls in heaven are (like pearls, as Quran puts it). Apparently, Muhammad had a preference and did not consider colored girls beautiful. It makes one question who the real racist is!" You've probably heard countless times how they accuse atheists of pursuing pleasure, sex, drugs, and a rock 'n' roll lifestyle, is the only thing that atheists have in their minds. In reality, the primary motivation to become and remain Muslim revolves around the desire to reach Islamic heaven and engage in eternal relations with countless fair-skinned virgins. Girls, even young boys who have not yet grown pubic hair ( called Qilman in the Quran), rivers of wine, different types of fruits and lots of food are the only things that are promised to pious Muslims in afterlife. There is no spirituality in Islam whatsoever. Bu the way, those virgins and young boys are only for Muslim men. The women will get their old husband back and must compete with countless sex machines that her husband will get and wait for her turn. Any muslim who wants to refute me is more than welcome. I can support every claim I have made above with verses of the Quran.
I notice that a lots of muslims seems to still be like that. If you don't believe in islam, it's because you are ignorant. Even if you rad the quran and such. And if you are not ignorant, then, you know islam is true, but you just want to follow your desires. I never understood this kind of defense. It's like it's impossible for those people to concieve that you know about islam, and just don't believe it. I don't think i'll never get it.
Why do you think I left Islam to follow my desires? What are my desires? The only thing that I wish and my only desire is peace for the word. Safety for children ( not be sold at the age of 4 under the pretext of Islamic marriage) . Does that make me ignorant? But how can we have peace when there are people like Daniel who are literally supporting killing people like me who have left Islam? Or must be killed according to Sura Al Taubah verse 29 kill anybody who does not believe in allah and the day of judgement .... Matt, that was a great video. I just watched the Muslim apologist debate and I don't know how you could be so patient with this dude. It almost look like he was doing that thing that Muslims are taught to do by just staying off the topic. Missing the point gliding over fallacies, etc to confuse people? If he wasn't doing that then he just simply was not listening to the basic arguments and basic questions that Matt was asking. He also brought up islamophobia. I'm so tired of that word. I would say technically I am islamophobic because Islam is the ideology. Muslims are the human beings that embody that ideology so I have islamophobia because the ideas are cancer, but not Muslim phobia because I wouldn't judge human beings like that. Keep up the good work Matt!
It's really a shame that some people have fallen so far even as their minds should be maturing. I am sorry that you and your girlfriend are harassed by these people. I was once very hateful towards anything LGBTQ+ back in the days when I was still a southern Baptist, and listened to the "teachings" of pastors and other people in that time. There was a brief time where I could sympathize with the people who are as brainwashed as I once was, and understand that they are only doing what they think is "right". I still think that they believe that they are right but it does get harder and harder as time goes on especially when I see how hateful a lot of theists can be. I appreciate you Matt. You are a huge reason I am even half as decent as I am today. Your videos, and debates have lead me down this road to confronting my own bullshit head on. You're an awesome person.
On the issue of Daniel's "understanding" of consent: "If forcing a man to provide financially for his children is not slavery then forcing a woman to have sex w/ her husband is not rape. It’s morally correct to force both men & women to do their marital duties regardless of consent. Only liberals are too dumb to grasp this point." - Daniel Haqiqatjou, June 11th 2023 If he believes in child marriage and he believes that there are sexual duties in a marriage that do not require consent, Daniel is being pretty clear on what some children are to him. Frankly, I'm concerned if this person is not being monitored by police.
It appears that Daniel made several statements that were not accurate, and he also resorted to insulting Matt on multiple occasions. One such instance involved him wrongly asserting that Matt had a boyfriend, which Matt politely corrected by stating his sexual orientation. However, instead of apologizing, Daniel repeated the same insult by claiming ignorance. Additionally, there seemed to be an instance where Daniel challenged Matt to confront him in person, but when Matt accepted the challenge, Daniel seemed to backtrack. It raises questions about Daniel's intentions and consistency in the discussion. Overall, it seems that Daniel may have been seeking attention rather than engaging in a productive debate. It's crucial to maintain a respectful and honest discourse in any discussion platform. If such behavior persists, it may be appropriate to consider measures like a temporary ban to ensure the integrity of the debate environment.
Matt i know your aversion to "fan boys and girls" but you do have compelling arguments for your views and as such you do have "fans" for your logic and reason, i am defo one of them.❤
Matt you did a great debate the consent part was the best and other points like intuition as a former muslim 4-5 years ago i watched alot of your videos about contingency argument and you re still going keep it up!
Matt, great review! Yep, I laughed when Daniel said 'come here and say that!' His face as you stood up was, quickly masked of course, but the 'Oh Shit' look was obvious! Daniel is exactly as you said here. I'd seen him debate, I think it was Apostate Prophet, before. He asked him, 'if you feel so strongly about it, why don't you live in a muslim country? I know your parents disagree with your extremism, your family moved here to get away from that!' Daniel just called him a liar. He can never refute a point, only attack with ad homonyms! And you can include mohammed hijab in that toxic group. I think Islamic apologetics seems even farther behind than the rest. Maybe because they've not needed it. They 'defended' it, and I know, so did christianity, with laws and violence. 👍💙💝💙🥰✌
That moment was absolutely delicious! I remember watching it live (on stream) and it was clear that Matt was not acting with any violent intent, he was calm and always 3 steps ahead mentally. It was obvious to anyone paying attention. Why did nobody say anything when Daniel was shouting at the audience and calling them stupid and demanding they "sit down and shut up"? Oh well, good to let him make an utter fool of himself, I guess.
All I can say is - I literally got everything out of the debate that I was expecting. I wasn’t at all disappointed with your debate. I was sitting there smugly as you were Matt, at the end of the debate. I could tell you were happy with your entire delivery.
The Fanboys are the worst IMO as they are representative of the effect the rhetoric has in real-time. If they’re not insulting you they make all sorts of claims of how you failed with zero substance. Like Matt said just ask them to actually explain their position or even yet ask them to steel man their opponent, you’ll quickly start to see how many of them are full of shit.
I am sorry, but I can't watch that Daniel dude anymore. It's not interesting, it's not enlightening, it's not informative. It's just performative instigation. I can get that from South Park and have it actually be funny.
I watched this debate shortly when it came out. I knew it was going to be a disaster the moment you said you agreed to it. The entire debate with Aron was Daniel trying to anger him and strawman him. I guarantee you that daniel has watched the atheist experience enough to know what angers you and use it all in one "debate" This was my last try to watch anything with daniel, to see if he could redeem himself as an honest debater, but no. I'll never watch, listen, or read anything from daniel ever again. He's not worth your time, my time, aron's time, MDD's time. One of the most dishonest "debaters" I have ever seen together with kent hovind.
I agree, Daniel was terrible. Generally speaking MDD has decent debaters or at least pairs people so it is entertaining/informative. I watched the debate and I found myself thinking why is MDD even giving him a platform, he really did not even talk about the topic of the debate and he is one of the most dishonest people I have heard. He has been on MDD and shown this behavior before so it is not a surprise. I dunno, I just hope that MDD does a better job moderating, and not inviting back those who cannot stay on topic.
tolerance of intolerance goes the other way too, cause the reason you call someone intolerant is cause they can't tolerate your proposition of something you want to tolerate and they don't, goes both ways if you use your brain to figure it out.

It's hard for me to take seriously a 50 year old man who claims to be talking to a Hebrew god who gave him permission to marry a 6 year old girl and begin sexual relations with her 3 years later along with nine other wives.
To be fair, it fits the sort of vile horrors that God is depicted as ordering or engaging in in the mythology. It's the claim that this slaver child rapist is somehow 'morally perfected' which is so heartbreaking
So glad you talked about your standing up moment. How Daniel reacted to you doing that says even more about him: his tone voice was the "I'm about to kick your ass" kinda talk, but the moment you moved towards him he called for James and said "oh he's gonna attack me!" He tried to act macho and when you called his bluff he shrank like the coward he is.
I know this could be said for a lot of your debates - but this one was one of the most important ever. To see, where adhering to old, dengerous books can lead people. You are not the next Hitchens - you have far surpassed him and I'm glad to be around to witness it.
It's strange to me that he would care what the topics are, at all. He could have been just as childish and dishonest for any topic. Aside from that, I just want to say to Matt: Thank you for literally standing up for what is right! I have to also say that not just this "debate," but troubling events around the country (like armed fascists showing up to intimidate pride events,) have got me thinking about the Paradox of Tolerance. How do we decide when it's time to meet them on their terms? When is the right time? This may not be a topic that is well suited for youtube, but I would love to know what Matt thinks about it. Thanks again, Matt.
It's no paradox... Human rights aren't something we got for free but humanity paid blood for it... it's a commodity that you give and you get it back, those that don't return it don't deserve to be getting it.. and that's exactly why I am 200% with things like Guantanamo.. so don't take your human rights for granted.. Muslims will use violence to force you to compromise and give up your Rights one at a time.. and they will use deceit as well... same thing apply for other ideologies... don't think as an individual, think as a country, cause that's where your human rights are preserved...can an idealist country exist and survive with no military? NOPE.. So if the other party won't recognize my human rights I won't recognize theirs.. it's either me or them...and that's why as an ex-Muslim I take a militant stance against Islam.. cause in a Muslim majority country you won't have any rights, and whatever the type of your enemy is if he refuses to compromise then don't allow him to form a majority or you lose.
The principle of tolerance should never be extended to bigots and fascists. You cannot reason with someone that wants you dead or under their control, you stand up and show what a coward they are.
Tolerance is a contract. It can only be extended to those willing to do the same in return. Theists - and some Muslims are exceptionally bad examples of this - will call for tolerance when they are in the minority, and mock the idea when they are in a position of dominance.

I think Matt handled this as well as he could have, as well as anyone could have. It was obvious Daniel was going to try and troll him, and try he did. And while Matt knew this was coming, it can still be difficult to tolerate to some extent, he did well with handling the shit talking and exposing Daniel as the fraud we all know he is, as if that needed any further exposure.
When you mentioned that apologists play a zero sum game, I think I realize now why some Christian and Muslim apologists will try to bring in mundane things we take for granted and compare them with religion. When they equate consenting to education to consenting to marriage, it is done to set up a charge of hypocrisy, or bring you down to their level "You accept this but don't accept this?" John Lennox tries to do the same thing but with faith, trying to equate trust in humans to faith in god. But if one doesn't play a zero sum game, one can see that the things that apologists bring up compare poorly to each other. At least that's what I got from you said.

I thought that if I was in the audience I would give him some question about Mohammed just to see him squeeking "peace be upon him" like a sqeeky toy whenever he mentions Mohammed.
I am arguing Daniel logic here... which is you don't need consent to educate your kids therefore you can't argue against child marriage because of consent absence... So following the same logic, selling your children to slavery can't be argued against for the same reason. what's the correlation? yeah it doesn't exist that's the point.. because Daniel example comparing education to marriage is a false equivalence fallacy.. just because consent is absent in the example of child education doesn't justify child marriage the same way it doesn't justify selling children to slavery.. that's the point...but guess what, When I tell this to Daniel fan boys..they don't get it...responding by saying "well selling children also happen in the west" .. or "child marriage also happens in the west" .. I think it's a problem of neural network deficiency.

@warmharth7088 "I'm talking specifically..." really? You don't appear to be the OP, though. Read my post in the context of it being a reply to the original post & it should be clear.
24:35 It doesn't matter if a respective fan watching an American Football game 'didn't do anything' with regards to actively partaking in passages of play with the team, on the football pitch. That doesn't somehow devalue the strength of their 'we're the best' rhetoric. This is because 'we're the best' in this context specifically means 'the team I support/my team/my club that I am a supporter/fan/member of etc.' This relies on the fact that an American Football team/club as an entity consists of three parts : the club itself, including non-player and coaching team paid employees, the tradable playing and coaching team employees of the club and the paying supporters of the club/team. So when fans say 'we're the best', they are referring to both the team that they support and the club that they are a part of (remember the aforementioned three part consistency of a NHL club/team - this can also be applied to football clubs/teams and Hockey clubs/teams btw), that is what they mean. Matt seems to somehow (as indicated by his choice of words) misunderstand what sports team fans mean by this particular phrase and therefore misunderstand and misinterpret the practical implications of such a choice of words.
Very well put Matt. I wonder, what did you think about IP (Inspiring Philosophy) ? At first glance he seems fairly honest and reasonable (for a theist). So perhaps there are some useful debates/discussions to be had
Started watching this…realized I should probably watch the debate first…just finished watching the debate…wow…Daniel is quite…well…I’ll be polite and not say anything. Looking forward to your reviews Matt.
Am I correct in assuming that the full vid on MDD isn't worth seeing? Once in a blue moon, a vid on MDD offers vaguely valuable context, but not too many. I didn't think Aron Ra's debate w/ Haqiqatjou was worth seeing. (I did like the review of that one when Matt said, 'watch the opening statements and then go have a beer.')
Why was Daniel allowed to control the debate topics and change them several times before the debate? In any case, thanks for exposing that disgusting human being and liar.
Dear Matt. I was a Muslim for over 40 years of my life. I memorised the whole quran, learnt Arabic and did the whole scholar course over a number of years. Your videos and thought processes have helped me identify the errors in my thinking processes. Although I don't agree with you on all issues (especially the issues on gender and sex), I agree with you on most. You have taught me how to use my mind in a rational reasonable and logical way. I thank your existence and your public platform for that. I can tell you that Daniel does indeed represent the majority of Muslims in the world and the way they think. Most Muslims are not aware of what their religion is about and they have a false sense of Islamic identity. Daniel really appeals to the younger generation of disenfranchised Muslim males who suffer from various inferiority complexes and choose to hate the 'west' for their incompetence and inadequacy in modern societies which go against their culture and religion.
few years ago I said the exact same thing in an Atheist Facebook group can't remember it's name but it was the largest English speaking group.. and they kicked me for being "Islamophobic" because I said the vast vast majority of Muslims aren't actually moderate even if they claimed so.. and how Islam is evil... now the west is learning the hard way especially in Europe.
I think Daniel represents those across centuries who have presented Islam unapologetically. Yes he is deliberately I feel confrontational and provocative at times but what he is saying is pretty well normative Sunni Islam. In fact, Dan spends alot of time attacking the 'compassionate imams' of the west, you know the types who wordplay to appease to western Liberal audiences.
Yhea this debate was different, one of the more insane ones i've watch in general. Normally these debates don't really go anywhere after the non argument from the theist is presented. This one, verbal haymakers and I didn't even feel like there was ever a planned debate in this one. At least it was interesting.
The attraction Daniel has to some is in responding to a scary, complex reality with a simplistic 'solution' that takes away the 'burden' of critical thinking. To my mind, they therefore deny the best part of humanity- as the poet said: "I may be a reed, but I'm a thinking reed".
You truly dismantled Daniel on that debate Matt. You truly ran circles around him and called every bluff. It was like watching a heavyweight versus a newborn. Complete domination. Well done.
It still doesn't help that Daniel got his time in the debate program to spew slurs and be dishonest with the audience. To those who expected a more sensible and reasonable debate. We were held hostage to his crazy ideology and religion.
hello, is there any metterial in regards to "consent" discussed by Matt? I find it not easy to point out where consent should be relevant and where not (other than refering to "common sense")
Good for you for taking the high road and not allowing dude to provoke you. And good for you for defending your partner and not allowing anyone to mis-gender them. I love my partner more than I can describe and they are worthy of respect. Well done, sir. :)
I haven't watched the debate but the way you describe it makes me wonder why they dont have moderation. Is this more comative style enjoyable or are good moderators in short supply?
I couldn’t even make it through this particular debate. Love listening to you, Matt, but some of the discussions you’ve had on MDD have just been so chaotic with some of these people. James really needs to learn to step in on some occasions and be an actual moderator. He just lets madness carry out in front of him.
For me the middle segment which was some nonsensical "How Islam is more 'compelling' than other religions" that Pedochu insisted at, could be easily skipped. There was nothing of any value and all it was, was an hour of Daniel bragging how awesome Islam is and Matt occasionally saying "uh-huh, maybe it is better than this or that religion, I don't care".
As a former Muslim, forced to wear hijab since I was a little child, I thank you for your debate.
Unfortunately in the west a lot of people are not aware of how insidious, backward, misogynistic, hateful Islam is.
Daniel is just a representative of this dark belief system.
Thanks again.
I was raised in an Islamic home. Even though I am a black American... I know 1st hand about the darkness of Islam.

I can't stand people like Daniel. Living in a Muslim country is stressful enough, I want to keep myself sane.

A lot of Christian debaters are also full of dishonesty, but they're better at veiling it in attempts at appearing civil and academic.

When he debated Micheal Jones I was floored as to how many Muslims agreed with his position of child gr ape.

23:15 - Excellent point from Matt. It's all about control. Only weak, frightened men need it.
Which is why it's so deeply ingrained in all muslim cultures.
In *all* cultures that go down the 'Our leader is by the desire and plan of [this society's notion of] a powerful god' fixed that for you.
Many regions on our little planet have managed to almost stomp that shit and its influence out, but it lingers with young men continually recruited in with misogyny laden brainwashing.
Plenty of men are busy vorganizing their religious, nationalist fascist militant groups around the world, they all share the same abusive, oppressive, authoritarian ideals regardless of country or particular religious cult they are desperate to see in power.

Thank you for participating in these debates. It was so irritating that it was hard to even listen through Daniel's speech.
You have a beautiful rational mind. Love listening to you.
There is a famous saying about theists like Daniel, Nadir and etc :
Arguing with theists is like playing chess with a pigeon.
It makes one question who the real racist is!"
You've probably heard countless times how they accuse atheists of pursuing pleasure, sex, drugs, and a rock 'n' roll lifestyle, is the only thing that atheists have in their minds.
How can we save children when you see nothing wrong with selling 4 years old girls under the pretext of marriage?

Matt, that was a great video. I just watched the Muslim apologist debate and I don't know how you could be so patient with this dude. It's really a shame that some people have fallen so far even as their minds should be maturing. I am sorry that you and your girlfriend are harassed by these people.
On the issue of Daniel's "understanding" of consent:
"If forcing a man to provide financially for his children is not slavery then forcing a woman to have sex w/ her husband is not rape.
It’s morally correct to force both men & women to do their marital duties regardless of consent.
Only liberals are too dumb to grasp this point."
- Daniel Haqiqatjou, June 11th 2023
If he believes in child marriage and he believes that there are sexual duties in a marriage that do not require consent, Daniel is being pretty clear on what some children are to him.
Frankly, I'm concerned if this person is not being monitored by police.
Ive said it before, Id love to see his browsing history and hidden folders on his laptop.

He has been on MDD and shown this behavior before so it is not a surprise. I dunno, I just hope that MDD does a better job moderating, and not inviting back those who cannot stay on topic.
'I always have two little voices in my head'
One says: dont feed the troll
The second says: tolerance of intolerance is wrong.
Right there with you, a genuinely hard needle to thread that.
tolerance of intolerance goes the other way too, cause the reason you call someone intolerant is cause they can't tolerate your proposition of something you want to tolerate and they don't, goes both ways if you use your brain to figure it out.
@@VigilantGuardian6750But what do you do when there's a large group of contributors who have no decent argument, no facts or reason just abuse? At some point surely, it comes time to call a spade a spade and say harassment and predictable hate isn't an acceptable contribution to a 'debate'. Not saying they can't behave like that but they shouldn't be platformed if they do.
you call a moderator to make order in the debate, not act like a chimp which matt did, also Daniel was highly respectful and polite thoughout first parts of debate, it all started with Matt becoming emotional/irrational that Daniel used certain argument for eg. pleasure machine or attributing liberal values to secular humanism, Daniel doesn't have to tolerate Matt's emotional outbursts does he, if i was Daniel, i'd go even more ham vs Matt. Be fair and honest to at least admit Matt being first one to shift from polite to angry, not Daniel.@@bodricthered
@@VigilantGuardian6750what a weird take on the debate. Not even slightly what I took from it, quite the reverse.
It's hard for me to take seriously a 50 year old man who claims to be talking to a Hebrew god
who gave him permission to marry a 6 year old girl and begin sexual relations with her 3 years later along with nine other wives.
You said what you said right to everyone’s face!👍🏼Where should I stand to reply, I agree with you? Lots of sick Fers out there.
My favourite part was when Haqiqatjou countered the Islamic justification for pedofilia with "but you want to send them to school".
Can you prove it?
Just watching that debate I felt like I needed a shower afterward. I cannot imagine having to sit next to that guy for three hours.
A tolerant country cannot(and should not) tolerate the IN-tolerant.
Glad for the new video Matt !
The reason he wanted 3 debates is because he knew you had a large following. He hoped your debate would legitimize him.

So glad the skeptic community stopped being afraid of attacking mudslimes. Or maybe it had more to do with Christian conservatives also hating mudslimes and the skeptic community figured "the enemy of my enemy is my friend".
Like it or not, some belief systems are straight-up evil, and we DON'T have to respect other cultures. Remember when American troops were told to look the other way when Iraqi mudslimes were "practicing their tradition of bacha bazi"?
The only thing I have faith in is that Islam will soon be a footnote of history.
Muslim apologists make me miss Christian apologists. They’re that bad.
I haven't heard a single one that was even vaguely coherent. They are all terrible.
Muslim apologists they learn from christian apologists and then they overdose it.
The most knowledgeable muslims they don’t debate except for few exceptions
But most of the times they teach in fact fare number of traditional are against debate because they see it as a sport not something beneficial
@@hassanbadrek2726 Ah yes the classic justification that all the “good” or “knowledgeable” people don’t ever take part. They never seem to be the ones speaking to other on behalf of your religion. If they don’t see a debate as beneficial then they don’t have anything useful to give. So far these knowledgeable Muslims you mention don’t seem to be the ones anyone knows about.
As a non-strawman atheist, witnessing this debate made Daniel appear so smooth-brained and reprehensible, it kinda made me want to:
- Obtain and retreat to a nice and comfy LSD (Liberal Secular Dystopian) Pod
- Eat some succulent crickets
- Pass the time by drawing some artistic caricatures of Muhammad
/s, placed as courtesy to any Daniel followers that may or may not have read up to this point with a glimmer in their eyes, hoping to salvage any W they can, out of a debate that made him look a fool to anyone save his most mindless followers... Including some in his own camp, who still found it insufferable to stand some of his less palletable extremism, such as defending child marriage.
For sure Daniel wasn't there to have a debate. He was only there to make Matt mad and deflect every word Matt said. Just like every muslims does.
When you mentioned that apologists play a zero sum game, I think I realize now why some Christian and Muslim apologists will try to bring in mundane things we take for granted and compare them with religion.
When they equate consenting to education to consenting to marriage, it is done to set up a charge of hypocrisy, or bring you down to their level "You accept this but don't accept this?"
John Lennox tries to do the same thing but with faith, trying to equate trust in humans to faith in god.
But if one doesn't play a zero sum game, one can see that the things that apologists bring up compare poorly to each other.
At least that's what I got from you said.
Great job, Matt! 👌
You responded perfectly to his childish callout, which was followed almost immediately by him pleading for you to go back sit down. You are a stand-up guy, figuratively and literally, and I appreciate you.

Who else is constantly cracking on the fact that Daniel literally cannot mention "prophet Mohammed" without unttering "peace be upon him" in Arabic afterwards?
So that's every Muslim in a debate. You will get use to it
Islam is like a form of OCD.
@@30yearsoldiam1 I watched several already, but never noticed the ridiculousness of it before, probably because Daniel once even mentioned him in 5 consecutive sentences and every time had to utter "peace be upon him", which just made the sentences longer and interrupted his train of thought and I thought it so absurd I had to laugh. I thought that if I was in the audience I would give him some question about Mohammed just to see him squeeking "peace be upon him" like a sqeeky toy whenever he mentions Mohammed.
You didn't like it when David drew parallels between Stalin and atheism, so why are you drawing parallels between David and MGTOW?
It's strange to even see this called a "debate", his performance was childish at best.

"you can get a child to consent to all sorts of things and it's just as manipulative" -- Like puberty blockers and "gender reassignment surgery" for example?
Has he actually said he supports that for children?
Children cannot get gender affirming surgeries, puberty blockers can and should be applied when it is rendered necessary by the child and medical professionals. Not the same as brainwashing a child and forcing them into a permanent marriage and being subject to underage sex
Except "getting a child to consent" is antithetical to what informed medical consent is about.
As clinicians, we spend a lot of time learning how consent actually works.
As for your trigger word "surgey", would you like to give the figures for how many procedures are carried out children?

Man I was excited for this lol
Well done.
Careful. "Heavyweight versus new born" is Daniel's most searched pornhub fetish
It still doesn't help that Daniel got his time in the debate program to spew slurs and be dishonest with the audience. To those who expected a more sensible and reasonable debate. We were held hostage to his crazy ideology and religion.

Couple of minutes in. In Islam... silence IS consent.
For me the middle segment which was some nonsensical "How Islam is more 'compelling' than other religions" that Pedochu insisted at, could be easily skipped.
