My condolences on your loss. My wife lost her father to the stupid plague last December so I know how you feel. Listening to this song just made me think of him and I lost it within the first minute. You are by far one of my favorite reaction channels and I look forward to every video you post. Thanks for introducing me to so much new music and for being a genuine person.

Thank you for your honest, strong reaction. I’m so sorry for your loss, I have lost everyone close to me way too early, so I can understand this one hitting really hard, especially when the pain is still as fresh as yours. I love that you love and appreciate this amazing band and keep reacting to their beautiful songs. Reactions like yours are a wonderful example of how special human beings are, being the only species on this earth able to evoke emotional and physical reactions in others just through their voices and the amazing music they create using their instrument. Keep up the wonderful work! 🙏

I am so sorry you are having such a struggle with your uncle's death. But glad you love the Poets of the Fall. I have listened to them for many years. They are a terrific group and has truly touched your heart. Your uncle is always with you and in your memories and heart with love. You can always look into heaven and speak with him, I do my dad whom I I miss so much. I relate to this song too. 😭😭🙏🏻🙏🏻. God Bless and your in my prayers. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Thanks Metalhead! Poets is quite old band, like you know, and they made their international break, when one of their song was playing on a "video game" called "Max Payne". They had a little "break" and they made a successful "comeback". I would recommend the "Alexander Theatre Sessions", all of them, and the live show in Moscow. Best Regards from Finland!

I'm very sorry for your loss. I suspected there was more than just the song itself moving you as I watched your reaction throughout. Thank you for sharing your heartfelt response with your audience. Beyond the Horizon is the perfect end to a perfect album; their very best album, in my view, and I know them all.

my interpretation of the whole album is that the singer is allowed eternal life, just before his death. He then goes on finding this new world exciting, until "chasing echoes" where the protagonist is starting to realize that, in eternal life it will just be him chasing things he hasn't experienced yet. In "Hello Cabaret", is the final joy in his life that doesn't even fulfill him.
In "beyond the Horizon" the protagonist has fully realized that eternal life is a curse. And wishes to stop being.

You know... I never thought of it like that... That's a beautiful way to look at it. That's going to change the entire way I listen to that album now.

See, and viewpoints like yours are the reason why I like not knowing what the artist really had in mind writing the songs. Poetic lyrics like these resonate individually with each listener, and are interpreted by them based on their current mindset and previous real life experiences. That way, the songs speak differently to everyone, and that is just beautiful.
