A guy I once knew introduced me to this fabulous music...I can hardly recall the guy; but the music by the cool dude of a genius that is or was Jimmy Rogers will live with me for ever I am on this earth...Music to feed the soul...The souls of Jimmy and his ensemble lives on in the realm of blues heaven...and within the unique take on the music made and played that we can freely listen to on YTube...
Wow! Haven't listened to this album in a while, but I just want to praise the sweet harmonica playing of Carey Bell. Never overstated, often understated, leaving me wanting more, but always nails it and can 'pull it out the bag' when needed. Perfect playing in my eyes. Of course, the whole band are superb in this way, but as an occasional harp dabbler I'm tuning in to Carey's exquisite playing.
Legit y"all! They don't make 'em like that anymore. You have to laugh at the dislikes...they probably don't even know who Jimmy is. LOL. Birth of the Blues folks.
