Hello,
I am considering to buy this jacket to use it in city where we see at most 0/-3 degrees sometimes with snow. Would you recommend this one?
Thank you very much for your answer in advance.
Hi. Yes I recommend you this parka for facing the winter weather conditions in the cities (also for going out in the mountain towns). PS for a good insulation an important point is also the layering underneath 🙂
How do you think it's going to be in -15º conditions more or less (I'm going to Tromsø)
Hi. From my experience I can say I've faced -7°C with this parka with no problems. It has a real hardshell as outer fabric and the insulation is about 200 g.
All depends on what you wear underneath 😏
Hey bro thanks for The review, um 177cm 75kg Should i go with M?
Hi Bro. Yes I think the M is tue right size for you 🙂
@@TheManuFace thanks! Would u mind let me know what should I layer underneath with this? I’m a tropical boy 😂
@@davilobato7025 You should add a Denali Fleece underneath. Generally this middle layer should be good for facing a range of temperature between 5 °C and -5°C.
If the weather gets very very harsh, you may apply a down jacket, such as a '96 Nuptse =)
@@TheManuFace would a wool sweater work instead the Denali fleece?
@@davilobato7025 hi. Wool is good for insulation and breathability, but if you want face winter in Europe I suggest you to combine the shell jacket with a denaly fleece (useful and suitable for this kind of weather...or imaging to wear underneath a down jacket if the cold is very very harsher).
Bye
I think the hood is a bit too big inside, as I have one, and for me I need to wear a baseball cap as well as a beanie to fix that.. Removing the fur is a great option, but I would like replacement options to buy separately. More pockets inside would be great. I realise if you wanna say its windproof you can have no outside pockets, but not inside. The bottom part should adjust with a bungee but does not. You never said how waterproof
Dear Jeasus thanks for your time. I bought the M size in 2019, and I can say the hood fits good (for me it's right). It depends on the head size, maybe mine is big ahahah.
About the other properties I can say the jacket is really waterproof, I've worn it under rainfall and heavy snowfall and it works well (the angled pockets have the right stormflap which protect in the right way the entrance... the rain doesn't pass through).
In the end I could say this is not a mountaneering jacket for TNF, it's a bit elegant/casual... and it doesn't need extra pockets inside (and furthermore fitting a bit skinny, I can't image items stowed in the inner side).
PS I hope I helped you. If you like my channel support me 🙂
@@TheManuFace The North Face Logo gets hidden most of the time at the front, so you get no kudos, it should be lower. And so it just looks drab and dark. I am disappointed. Mine was given me in place of a debt someone owed
It is not warm
It's a pity yours didn't respond to what you was looking for. For me it's the right partner for the winter, when you want a look less sporty and more casual!
It's warm enough to face -5°C, the lower temperature in my town, also when the wind speed is almost between 20 - 30 km/h. 🙂
Hello im 93 kg and 179-180cm Big should i Buy the L or the XL?
Hi. About your body info, you should go for the L size. 🙂
PS If you like my channel, subscribe 👍
Im 5 feet 6 inches tall
My weight 64Kg what size should I order?
Hi Joy. You should go for the S size, referring your body info. PS if you like my channel subscribe :)
I’m 181cm and 80kg. Is L ok for me? Thanks
Hi. The L size could be the right one for you, about your body info. 🙂
I am 1,94 but thin... should i go for size L or XL? I wonder if the XL will be very large in the waist.
Hi Tony. About your body info, you should go for the L size.
The XL could be very large for your waist. 🙂😉
Hello mate! Pretty late for an answear but i hope you will be kind
I’m 1.83m height and 82-85kg (i go to the gym) should i get M or L?
Thanks a lot! 😊
Hi Bro'
About your body info you could go for the M size. But if your muscled body is strong on chest, I advice your for the L size. It wears a bit tight at chiest level.
PS if you like my channel, support and subscribe. 🙂
@@TheManuFace thanks a lot mate! Yeah, im a bit big in chest and back and i got long arms and legs too :(
Is a big difference in warmth between zaneck and mcmurdo?(mcmudo is a bit expensive and i can’t afford atm) I live in central europe, in january or february can be between +5 and -7 degrees celsius
@@Pizzaatabasco Go for the L in this case. 🙂
@@TheManuFace hi again manu!! I had a really good luck today and i got a 50% voucher discount and i ordered a Mcmundo parka size M, color navy (i wished to get other color like green&black or red) at 200$. I guess that i made a good deal because at full price i didn’t afford it. Never had an TNF jacket or parka. I hope that will be really good for winter :)
@@Pizzaatabasco Hi Bro, thanks for your time and for your words.
Good news from you, yeah. You have bought a good item from The North Face.
PS Let me know your winter (it will be good for sure) 🙂
Hi, im 165cm height and 80kg weight. is small or medium good for me?
Hi. You should go for the M size; it will be the right about your body info.
PS If you like my channel subscribe
@@TheManuFace thank you. Im thinking maybe its too long for my height?
is the pockets fleece lined? and have u tried the mcmurdo before? how does ot compare
Hi. The pockets are not fleece lied, but I can say they protect the hands. No I never tried the Mcmurdo, but in these days arrive the Mcmurdo Expedition Parka 🙂.
PS I just can say Zaneck is the righ partner for the winter 🙂👍
Hello friend. It is possible to adjust hood in this jacket? Because it covers my eyes so I cant see anything?(If yes: Where to adjust?) Thanks for help! :)
Yes of course. You have to buttons to adjust the collar of the jacket, one per side. They are hide in it 🤘😎
Seems very thin. Not suitable for winter?
HI. This parka is suitable for the winter. I worn this parka in some town close mountains, facing temperature close -10°C... so it's comfortable for the winter weather 🙂
Hi i am 174 and 65 kg should i buy s or xs
Hi. You should go for the S size. In this way you will have enough space L, for additional layer underneath.
PS If you find useful my channel, subscribe
I am 165cm height 60kg..what size i need to buy small or extra small.. Thank you
Hi Gerald. The Zaneck jacket is a bit tight at chest level, so you should go for the S size at least.

Hello do you think a L would fit good for 1,88 height and normal body type or should I get XL? And also another question does the jacket go till the butt?
Hi. About your questions, the only solution is an XL. Indeed this size will cover better your back, and you will be comfortable at the chest height (the L can be tight here) PS Support my channel Subscribe 🤟😉
@@TheManuFace Hello, I'm 1.70, would a size M suit me?
@@carlossebastianguzmanmarti5130 Hi if you weight is about 70 75 kg you can go for the M.
Hello friend :) I am 184 kg and 78 kg. I have this jacket in L size. I feel like this zaneck jacket its too big on me. Should i go for the size M? Or will the size M be too tight and little? Thanks for yout help. You are doing a great job!
Hi Bro. The Zaneck is a tight model on chest. Generally I wear M size (104 cm is my chest) for TNF, but for this model I've taken the L...it's more comfortable in terms of motions. I advise you to remains on the L! Thanks for your add!
Hello Manu, are you wearing the L on this video or M. I saw you have a M size in your room, so I am not sure right now. It looks like I should have similar size like you, but I do not know if you have M or L. Thank you man
@@TheManuFace
@@radimpeterka971 Hi. In this video I was reviewing a M size. As said in several videos the M is bit tight at the chest level. So after this video I've taken the L size (it fits a bit large and sleeves are a bit longer), but it's better in terms of comfortability!
PS you can go on depth reading my comments
In total you are ~260kg
@@christophermoltisanti9595 what???
Thanks for the video mate! How tall are you for this M parka?
Hi Diogo. I'm tall 1.70 m and a body middle/strong. PS Remember the M is a bit tight at the chest level. $ubscribe !!! =)
Hi there! 175cm and 75kg is a size M good for me?
Hi. You should go for the M size, if you want it right for your body sizes.

Hi I'm 180cm and 65 kg is size M will be corecct?
Hi. I think you have to go for the M size, the right about your info. PS Subscribe if you like my channel 👍
Did you choose M luka ?
@@ImVez_ Hi Thomas. If you have the same size of Luka, you should go for the M size le 🙂
Hi, What size i have to take for 1m80 and 65 kilos ? Ty for the review bro
Hi. You should go for the M size, the right one for your body sizes. PS Subscribe and support my channel 🙏😉
@@TheManuFace Ok, i suscribe, thx bro
@@OxmozeFlo thanks bro 🙏
Hey man. I’m about 176cm but I do have a wide chest I’m like 72 kg. Would medium be best?
Hi Bro. If you have a wide chest, you should go for the L size (this parka wears a bit skinny).
The Medium could be tight for you at chiest level.
An other question buddy. Is that a big difference between Mcmurdo and Zaneck??
Hi. The are several version of McMurdo, anyway is more structured in terms of insolation (down insultaion for egs.) and waterprofness than Zaneck (a bit better overall I can say).
The Zanexk, from the other side is more elegant and cured in its shape. PS they are both good for the winter weather
Thank you for this great video!
Thanks for your time! 😎👍
Good for -10 degrees celsius weather?
Hi Mr Jong-il 😎👌. I've tested it till - 5, and has gone all good, with a tee and a fleece. I think, also - 10 can be proper for this jacket, it depends on what you wear underneath. PS Subscribe 😎✌️
I just purchased this jacket hope its good for winter
Yep, the right jacket for harsh winter. ✌️😎
183cm and 85-90 kg, is L the size for me?
Hi Niko. Yep, you should go for the L size, the right one for you. Remember at the chest section, this jkt is a bit tight 'cause the thick insulation (it loosens up with time). PS Subscribe and support my channel =)
Can you do the MEN'S ARAL II PARKA
Hi. The Aral II is similar to Zaneck. Differences: It has a front chest pocket and it hasn't a storm flap which protect the center front zip (this can be a problem when the weather conditions become harshest).
If you can go for the Zaneck, this choice can be better for your! ;)
Ok thank you
Grate video :)
@@A5_AD Thanks for your time. If you like my channel sub 👍😉
Very good review!
Thanks a lot 🙂👍
im 6,1 normal body kinda buff and i weigh about 80kg
こんにちは 京都 😎👌. You can go for the L size. About your "kinda buff", there's the chance you can feel a bit tight to the chest (this jkt is a bit fitted there). PS Subscribe and support my channel 🤟
The zip on this jacket is so fucked-up. It's pretty narrow in the shoulder areas too.
Hi Bro'. It's not properly comfortable when you have to start to lock it from the bottom side (there it's narrow).
About the way it fits, maybe you have taken the usual size for the TNF (and for this model, you should have been take one size bigger.
PS thanks for riporting your experience here
That’s not waterproof !
Seems very thin. Not suitable for winter?
The Zaneck? Yes, it's a parka for the winter. I've faced temperature close -10°C in some town close mountains. 🙂
@@TheManuFace I bought it today. It is very thin. I think it would be too cold in the cold December.
@@TheManuFace Thin like an autumn coat
@@fengliu-i2n don't worry it's suotsble for the winter 😉
