    Just to be clear. No UA did not invent these microphones. They are the invention of Chris Townsend of Townsend Labs. Chris is the incredible mind that conceived this microphones unique capsule configuration. I have two of the original Townsend Labs L22 Spheres. They are the most used microphones in my kit, even though I own several high end vintage mics. To be clear UA took over the brand and the DLX is an absolute version, rebranded, of the original L22 Sphere.

    I believe HER. I love that she is t a copy of something. Her singing and her personality is hers. The vocal chain captures that so well. What more could you ask for? Nicely conceived video. Huge piano sound. Nice!

    Late to the party but good demo and fantastic performance! What is this song, it seems like an original (can't find the lyrics anywhere)? Is it released?

    Can we purchase the additional 18 mikes after buying and trying the limited LX model mic.

      Is more expensive DLX only for stereo for instrument recordings.

      Is the DLX superior in any way to the LX.?

    • @jwhelan709
      @jwhelan709 Год назад +1

      Yes. Buy the Ocean way or Putnam collection. You will get the BP or OW mics PLUS the other 18

    • @sagnier
      @sagnier Год назад

      @@jwhelan709this only works if you ALSO own a UA Apollo interface. You cannot own just the LX and thereafter add the other 18 mics to it.

    wow i guess you guys don't remember Antares mic modeling software way back in like protools in 1990

      Not the same. Didn't do polar patterns and off-axis response. And you wouldn't get a great emulation if the input mic wasn't super neutral.

    it’s so shameful that the guy from UA is not even mentioning the brain behind this microphone “Townsend” the company which Universal Audio bought. they had their own mic which does the exact same thing Townsend L22 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
    it’s fucked up

  • @elvisbrahm

    This mic is not a UA invention. Its "Townsend Labs". The title should be changed accordingly.
