The number labeling are identical to the one at the market parking garage.
The "Tower of Terror" ride uses an enormous hydraulic hoist which makes over 10,000 horsepower. It actually pulls the car down faster than the force of gravity.
it's kind of cool how it sinks a bit... the tower of terror in DCA does that too... (and before you say "dude its a ride" its actually the same system as an elevator but the biggest and most powerful ever invented.) tower of terror has a hydraulic otis gen 2 in the back.

These were installed in 2009, I don't think the ReGen system ever existed at the time.
But it could be an energy recovery inverter.

Most American Gen2 that i view have Series 1 chimes but this one have for going down chime the European Gen2 up chime repeated 4 times (i think 2 times for the external indicator and 2 other times for cab lantern) ! European Gen2 Down chimes sounds like a high pitched beep that make "bingboooooooong" .

I like elevators because they're so much fun to ride on.
These are the same elevators that are used in Bay Lake Tower in Walt Disney World except the elevators there are not glass.
Those buttons look like vandal resistant series 2 mixed with series 4 and 5 on the call butons

This video is actually identical to the one that your friend filmed. The only thing is, it’s about 4 to 5 minutes shorter.

When I first saw this I thought these were Series 5 judging by the Egg chimes and the call panel
it is otis common button.
They probably put those wires across the top to keep birds from roosting up there. Under law they cannot be electrified unless adequate warning is provided, and I'd imagine with how low they are they wouldn't be allowed to do it anyway.

I personally like the Dover hydro's in the market parking garage better than these MRL tractions boring pieces of horse manure.
While the Series 5 is kind of bland, Gen2's are always fun to ride!!!! KONE Ecodiscs would be awful and knowing when the place was built (2009) it would also have cheap KSS 370 fixtures. The Dover hydros are nice though.
the series 5 is bland but Series 4 is one of my favorite fixtures!!! I love Gen2 Series 4!!!!! But I also like Series 1, 2, 3, 6 and 7!!!
I personally would be having fun on this elevator.
Superduper Julien I would be having the fudge of a boring time on these elevators. KONE Monospace would have worked so much better for this parking garage than some piece of horse poop OTIS GeN2.
I'd also be having fun on basically an other OTIS Gen2 Elevator with Series 3, 4, 6, and 7!!!!! I'd have fun on any OTIS elevator no matter if gen2 or not!!!
