The percussion is snappy, the vocals crisp, the dancers on point and I love Herb Albert's impeccable talent on the horn. The energy and humor was wonderful. Thanks to everyone!

We love this video so much! The music is superb, the dancing is perfect, and whenever we need a caffeine-like high we watch this. When I was a kid, Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass were on the record player all the time, so it feels really good to see him making excellent music now.

Dang best music ever! My mom was a Brazil 66/Herb Alpert fan and I applaud her taste in music!!! This song embodies the jewels that Herb Alpert, Lani Hall and Sergio Mendez gave to us as marvelous gifts of music legend!!! Bravo to the highest degree!!!
Perhaps the best music video of the era: Minimum editing (Alpert says it needed several takes but the master is one shot), great Steadicam work, amazing production coordination, not a dancer out of character, really tight art direction, wonderful music with the tongue-in-cheek participation of Herb Alpert himself. The energy is so high and so positive. The tipoff was the "NAPPYTABS PARKING ONLY" sign at the top of the video. After some digging, I find that NAPPYTABS has gone on to be the premier producer of massive events, fabulous dancing, with a work ethic that is impressive. This video is a treasure.
Dear Herb.....Thanks for my ENTIRE enjoyment of the trumpet.....I wouldn't have played as long as i did (45 years now) if it wasn't for you!!! you kept me on my toes for sure!!!
A contemporary spin on a classic tune that everyone is familiar with for one reason or another and of course Herbie's signature horn sound. The swing style dance beats and grooves are catchy and I now can't get this out of my head. My favorite aspect is the pairing with the video is spot on.
doubtless Robert Altman would approve of the tracking-shot lasting for the entire video. love the choreography and the sheer logistics and rehearsal involved in this. and then there's the music...... wonderful all round!
I saw them do this live with the video in the background and it was pretty amazing. The choreography is amazing. Also, if you watch, you can see that it's all done with a single camera. A new arrangement brings freshness to an old song.
I know people are ultra-critical of this version, but I like it. It's catchy, danceable, and just nice to listen to. Sometimes are expectations of songs, arrangements, and even the artists themselves border on the unreasonable. Herb Alpert is a trumpet player playing catchy instrumentals, some remakes and some originals. He isn't trying to be Wynton Marselis, Doc Severinsen, or Maynard Ferguson; he plays his own style (and is eclectic at that). I am a big jazz freak and dig the trumpet players that are considered tops in the field (Miles, Gillespie, Hubbard, etc.), but I can appreciate the sound of Alpert's horn and many of his tunes. Route 101, Rise, and some of his older tunes are great to listen to. His Second Wind CD produced by Jeff Lorber is still one of my favorites. I enjoyed the song, the video, and the great long camera shot (that is difficult to do). I think all of this talk about Taco's version being better and hipsters ruining everything is taking this way too seriously; it's just a fun video. If Herb Alpert is not your cup of tea, then drink another flavor and enjoy that.
Thank you. Beautifully written. Right on. Let's not be snobs---agreed. Yes, catchy, danceable, fun---what else is there!!????? Yes, Louie, Dizzy, Miles...but ...let's dance!!!
That was some tremendous choreography, well executed. I usually don't watch dance videos like this, but I couldn't stop watching it. Very good dancers and very interesting looking ensemble.
Excellent synth bass sound. Didn't exist when I first started enjoying Herb Alpert back in the sixties. Maybe him and Willie and Jerry Lee will outlive us all!
Herb actually said in a concert that I attended on 6/10/2022 that they did 6 takes, but you are correct that there are no cuts in the final video. The kids on the bus had to quickly run around the block to get in position for the next scene on the sidewalk outside the studio.
Fun video and so many different scenes of creative dance groups. Loved seeing Herb as the bus driver and bar tender - - modest cameo visibility in the production. So cool.
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC and beautiful. AMAZING choreography and great sound track. Very entertaining and the dancing is TRULY POWERFUL. The lead dancer, Vincente, is so attractive.
This is freaking amazing! That's either the smoothest editing the world has ever seen, or that whole video was one continuous shot! And I love the choreography is a brilliant blend of styles.
Lex Dunn - Alpert has explained it elsewhere. There were several takes, but no video editing. It is one continuous shot. Of course the trumpet and vocal are added.
This is fantastic. More than the music itself, more than the dancing and energy even more than the one-take shooting, I love it because someone finally made a Trilby look cool.
Don't know how I missed this video when it came out 6 years ago, but I found it now and I love every bit of it. The dancing is amazing, the music is spectacular and it makes me get off my butt and start my day in a great mood.

Judging by comments, a history lesson is in order. Apparently he can also drive a bus!! Also as president of A&M Records he was the most wealthy artist in the world from the early 70s to the mid 80s. He was able to self produce his first couple of albums in the 60s, they sold well all around the world, and in the USA A&M Records even outsold the Beatles.
He also discovered the talent of Karen Carpenter when she was a studio musician he convinced her to sing the song that she was trying to sell. Convinced her and Richard that her voice was unique and he was 100 percent right!
THANK YOU! Somebody had to say it! I’m glad it came out on top for all to see. This song and the music genre it represents is rich with history. Some of us, including myself were around to actually hear some the greats of that time. Your list brought back some amazing memories. Thank you.😊
This makes me want to be a dancer. Professional dancers understand how to put together moves like musicians understand how to combine notes and phrases. I've always appreciated both kinds of performers.

I won't tell you how old I am, but I'm devoted to Big Band music and drive a Lincoln Town Car. Which means I remember when Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass hit the charts. So, a 1960's music icon takes a 1930's song and transforms it with 21st-century dancers. AMAZING! I absolutely love it, and would SELL MY SOUL to be able to dance like that. And did you catch Lani Hall outside the bus (next to the drummer), and at the bar with husband Herb? Thank you, Mr. Alpert, for remaining relative in the music industry all these years. You are an American treasure.
These kinds of dance numbers were so common once. This calls back to the golden age of Hollywood. The glamour. The moves. The stars. This makes me feel like that era is still here. Thank goodness it hasn't gone away.
I grew up listening to Herb Albert and the Tijuana Brass. I was born in 1960 and Remember his Whipped Cream album vividly. We didn't have a lot of albums but I remember Whipped Cream, Dave Brubeck, Johnny Cash, Nancy Sinatra. My Dad had a very eclectic taste

Love the music and the choreography. I'm enamored by the videography. It is shot to appear as one continuous shot, without cuts. Done beautifully, seamlessly.
Herb Alpert is still about the coolest guy on the planet and is one of my heroes in music and life in general. Quite a man! A modern day “Midas Touch” indeed.
Love the multiple cameos of Herb Alpert in this video.
I did not know that he is still active. Many decades ago, I disliked his music, but I think he hit the nail here 😀
Herb with his wife Lani in that sweet final scene! Love it.
@TheLizeau , it is a great moment. It could easily be captioned "This Guy's in Love with You" (Herb's hit song as a vocalist)😊
Bus Driver, Barber, Bartender! So fun!
I've listened to Herb Alfred since the 60s... He's still got it.
He has always and will always have it!
Hahahaha...oh man, you're a fan alright!
He's one of the all-time greats, but he's 90 years old now.
