Today we are going to put up our first Christmas Tree together. We lived together for 4 months already and Christmas is here. It is my favorite holiday and I am vey exciting to spend it together. Stick till the end for little cute surprise.
My husband bought me a cheap plastic tree one year at Walgreen's because we waited too long to get a fresh one. We've put it up every year since then. Not only does it save a few trees, it's a nice reminder of how long we've been together. Hope this couple has some wonderful memories with their tree as well!

I like the white lights. I bought a prewired tree like that about 8 years ago. I like to switch it up though sometimes so i also put colored lights on mine after i assemble it. Somedays i just plug in the white lights, other days the colored or both.
I lost quite a few of the tree ball decorations as my dogs wagging tail hits them occasionally and launches them across the room. So now the bottom half is nonbreakable decorations

You two are really good together! A Christmas tradition of my family that I really liked was my parents gave each other and each child a unique Christmas ornament. When we all moved out, we each were able to take a little bit of our family Christmas with us and they still had some as well. Your first tree looks good and may you have many, many more.

Now how wonderful is this?! Back in 1981 my fun-loving 1st boyfriend & I put up Christmas in a charming little apartment. We played, danced, sang, using bought & homemade ornaments & for tree accents we had red & green & bright yellow & blue & purple triangle-shaped cardboard cutouts signed with the handwritten 1st names of close family & friends which they signed. Enjoy your Christmas miracle being together. Bless you both for sharing joy which promises countless people happiness can grow in the lives of everyone. Thank you!

A Christmas tree always makes your home look warm and cozy. My husband and I always connect the lights to a timer so the tree turns on just before you get home from work. It’s nice to come home to after a long day. When we moved in together we had nothing, there was a store close to where my husbands parents lived that sold beautiful ornaments all year round. Anytime we visited them, we’d stop in the store and buy a few so it didn’t break the bank. After 32 years together, we have enough ornaments for 2 trees, but we still love adding to our collection. Looks like you all are getting into the spirit of the holiday season! My sister and I would decorate my paternal grandparents home for Christmas on the day before Thanksgiving and my maternal grandparents home the day after Thanksgiving. We’d then decorate our house that weekend. Even though they’re no longer with us, the Thanksgiving weekend is still generally when we put up holiday decorations. For my house that means having my sister and niece over and we put up my Christmas tree, set out my Chanukkah menorahs, set up the Chalica chalice, Bodhi Day Buddha statue, Pancha Ganapati Ganesh statue, and Kwanzaa kinara as well as hang stockings and other wall decor. My sister and niece live with my mom and so they put up the main Christmas tree and hang stockings and other decorations and then my niece has a mini Christmas tree she puts up in her bedroom on her desk. I started listening to holiday music in my car last week. I have a CD that has a mixture of Christmas, Chanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Chalica songs on it that I made from songs I got from iTunes. Love the Christmas sweater! A friend and I used to collect Coca-Cola themed items (mostly from the local Hallmark store....which was a franchised store owned by a former classmate’s mom). Neither of us owned a sweater (in fact I don’t think I have ever seen one), so that’s pretty neat. My CD in my car includes the brief “Holidays are coming” song from a Coca-Cola Christmas ad. LOL I look forward to seeing your finished tree! It’s looking beautiful so far! Whenever you asked if there was some specific way to decorate the tree it reminded me of the first time my niece helped decorate a tree and asked the same thing. My current tree has lots of strands of lights, lots of variations of ornaments, beads, garland, and ribbon. As the theme of the tree is winter the tree topper is a snowflake that lights up in rainbow patterns. I also have a small projector at the base of the tree hidden in the corner that projects snowflakes on the ceiling above the tree (my mom works at Walmart and found it there....technically the projector comes with lots of other slides so it can be used for lots of other holidays, but I only use it with the tree at this time of year). Love the holiday beanies! Those are excellent gifts! And it’s awesome that you already have some presents under the tree!

Cute❤🇫🇮 In Finland we get an actual living tree in the morning of the 24th and in the evening get presents. In the meantime we have Christmas sauna. 'Joulupukki' Christmas 'gout' /kraken comes after - and is very serious (not punishing like in German lol) but still. If you have NOT been nice...nothing. If you have been nice you get presents. But if you have not been nice - Santa Kraken will leave presents outside to the noughty children as well.🇫🇮😄 I love that in Europe even Christmas is still a pagan seromony!
