The Thai script, also known as Thai alphabet or Thai writing system, is used to write the Thai language and is the official script of Thailand. It consists of 44 consonants (ก - ฮ) and 15 vowel symbols that are combined to form syllables.
Similarly, the Khmer script, also known as Khmer alphabet or Khmer writing system, is used to write the Khmer language and is the official script of Cambodia. It consists of 33 consonants (ក - ឃ, ង - ឍ, ណ - ន, ប - ល, វ) and 23 vowel symbols.
Although Thai and Khmer scripts share a common origin and some similarities in their characters, they have evolved independently over time and have their own unique features and pronunciation rules. However, there are still some similarities between the two scripts, which is why some people may say that Thai and Khmer letters originated from the same source.

First of all, thanks for sharing these historical documents . However,according to the professor’s studies,researches and accounts,in regards to “when or how long” the Khmer language has existed,there’s no absolute evidence or record proven of when,the Khmer language was born. However,the Khmer people were the indigenous people of the lands before the Thai,Vietnamese and Laos ,even came into existence. This proven that,the Khmer language must have existed millenniums before those three states. Just base on some Khmer historical evidences,I learned about,it’s proven to me that the Khmer was the only state existed,then in the lands,where it’s so-called today,Thailand,Vietnam and Laos and Cambodia

About 150 years ago, 1874, the Khmer recorded it themselves and stated on Wikipedia that Cambodia has a population of almost 1 million people only.
In 1975, Cambodia had 7.5 million people, just counting back 100 years, the population of Cambodia decreased by 6.5 million people.
However, Prime Minister Hun Sen himself has revealed his hostility towards Thailand since when the Khmer government was established, four parties supported the Khmer Rouge regime and Thailand under cooperation with ASEAN, China and the United States through the United Nations to oppose Vietnamese influence in Cambodia.
And by supporting the Khmer Rouge government to have a seat in the United Nations. It also undermines the opportunity to revitalize the Khmer country because they have to draw foreign aid for development to military spending to fight against each other of the forces of various parties. which made Cambodia unstable. And it is rather good for the stability of Thailand.

The Khom language is the origin of the Khmer and Thai languages. in literal terms But words and accents are different. The Khom script (not the Khmer language) developed to write Thai language is still used in Thailand until a few years ago, it had just been discontinued.
So funny for a few Thai netizens. They fabricated the facts and shameful. Don’t skip history class anymore. The Thai historian, archaeologists and anthropologists have mentioned about Khmer language in their Thai and other Khmer influences into Thailand. But a few Thai netizens tried to cover fun fact: Thai ancient population made up of Khmer, even Laos history wrote by Grant Evans, mentioned about this when Thai moved to Southeast Asian.

There is a lot of evidence for everything. It appears in various pillars that are in the Khom language, not the Khmer language. You can try searching online and see it be sure that you can't read it. Khmers may not know, but now other countries around the world already know.
