Large mushrooms aren't pretentious. They are what you eat when you live in the country and have to pick your own mushrooms, so I would venture to say they are the real part of the traditional English breakfast!
Ultimate disaster of a breakfast, no bacon, black pudding, watered down beans, raw tomatoes, soggy hash browns, greasy mushrooms and decaf, you’re having a laugh!😂
Gibraltarians are very proud of their heritage and would never say they are Spanish. The worker maybe commutes across the border for her job and is indeed Spanish. As an English man I am proud of Gibraltarians and actually have extended family born and bred there.
Lee! Will you please acknowledge that the bloody bacon was "MISSING" For gods sake, we are all scrolling down the comments on your vlog, and you still have not mentioned the missing bacon!! How on earth is it a breakfast with missing bacon, let alone black pudding. Rant over! Best wishes from Yorkshire 😊
Yes you are right. I must have been having an off day. The bacon was missing. I was conned!!!! Scammed. 😂 I'm not going back for a refund though. 😂 please don't make me. 😂
Because of all your full English breakfast videos and since I miss them. I drove about over hour and 15 minutes to a British pub in Lagrange Ohio, owned by a British father and daughter and her American husband to get a full English breakfast with fried bread and blood pudding.
Gibraltar is British. Why is is so surprising that locals are British Citizens? 'I was born here, I'm spanish' You must have misheard...... If you are born in Gibraltar, you are Gibraltarian. Spain is a different country across a land border and it requires a passport to cross into it from Gibraltar.
missing 1 of the 3 essentials for a fry up, must have rasher , sausage, egg, optional are blk pudding , mushrooms , beans , HB's and fried bread .P.S. who in their right mind mind pick preserved tinned tomatoes over fresh health tomatoes
The ‘Ultimate Breakfast’ was advertised as having: ‘Three sausages, two bacon rashers ..’ (at 2:40), and there even was a photo of it - Lee didn’t seem to notice that the bacon was missing?
I do love strong tea myself. Yesterday I was in the Great Yarmouth Morrisons with my elderly mum and as she doesn’t like strong tea I took her teabag from her pot and straight into mine, so much better. We had the afternoon tea deal, sandwiches, scones, jam and clotted cream for £2.99, good value. That looked ok for a breakfast Lee but couldn’t see any bacon. Love fried bread and tomatoes on my breakfast. One egg when they could have done two. You must have felt you were back in England sitting in that Morrisons.
The beginning of this vid couldn't but help remind me of the Peter Kay sketches about seeing same foods from home in shops abroad....Cadbury's chocolate fingers...they taste the same...😂😂 Bar nice looking mushrooms, the food looked border line inedible, shame. Reckon you can do a vid without saying.......... - controversial ? 🤣🤣🤣 Great fun vid again Lee, enjoy the weather, its naff back in Blighty.
You know you're in trouble when the fried bread is the least greasy thing on your plate. Still. the price was alright, and compared to those horrific fish and chip from yesterday, positively a bargain.
Lee, if you are ever in Taunton go to the Castle Hotel, Jerry the chef has just won a huge award for his full English fry ups..Looks Gert lush me Babber.
I thought the price of the breakfast was great, the egg was a bit mangled unfortunately and it was nice to see two lovely large mushrooms for a change. The beans looked a bit dry I thought, but I suppose at the price it was ok. I wonder why no bacon and tinned tomatoes would have made it better still.
Lee, you can call yourself what you like. If the young lady you spoke to wishes to consider herself spanish, if she was born in Gib, that is her perogative. What I can confidently state is that she would in the , say, 2% of the population born on the rock who would describe themselve as such.
Was in Gib in July this year. 37 degrees and clear blue skies all day. Went out into the bay to see the dolphins, there were hundreds of em. It was red hot and we spent all day chugging water, beer, and ice creams. Brilliant. Definitely going back next year as well for a quick break.
In answer to your question Lee, my daddy served in the Royal Navy in Gibraltar, he and my mum (both British lived there) I was born there in 1964 my sister in 65 and we are British.
I was born in Germany to British parents.....Dad was in the RAF..... I'm British. You are what your parents are, not where you are born: Kids get born on ships!
That used to be a Safeway back in the late nineties. Kids were desperate for English milk, loaded car up on way back to Nerja. 4 hour queue in customs 🤪. Great vlog as always Lee.
Since bacon in the UK looks like slices of ham, it's strange that they would omit it from the Full English Breakfast. I mean that Spain has some of the best ham around but maybe they don't use ham on their breakfasts. They could have used British imported ham/bacon as Morrison's is a supermarket chain and they are serving English Breakfasts so they should serve proper butcher's sausages, bacon and black pudding.
Hi Lee, watched both of your vlogs on Gibraltar. Different, isn’t it? The cloud is because of the rock, it forms its own microclimate called levanter, and is only there when there’s an easterly wind. On average, it rains 26 days a year. Surprised you stayed in one place for two weeks, and didn’t hire a car. The border queue, we’ve never known it be 3 hours in the 7 years we’ve been here, it’s normally an hour max! But easier to park the car and walk across the runway. I enjoy your videos. Janice x
Circumcised sausages, broken yolks, no teaspoons. Yup, just like the UK, but with the option of beer. Not a bad looking breakfast, and a decent price. I noticed last week that Tesco have brought back their Big Breakfast at long last, but at £8.50 it still doesn't seem like good value - especially after adding tea at £1.90
A little confused ! Why do you need a phone to go to a café to get and pay for breakfast ? In the Scottish Highlands we use cash as most of us don't have WiFi or phone signall , TV or radio signal.! Still confused about the phone ?
Nice plate at least it has not got a chip out of it !! . Staying at the Tent Hotel Friday and Saturday can you do a review. Any chance you can pop to Estapona staying there for a week .. great videos Lee ..
It annoys me when the supermarket cafe runs out.... I mean its down aisle 5 ! Lol. Sorry i did spit my tea out when you almost scalded yourself (because I have done the exact same thing) 😂❤
Good news for baked bean lovers heinz import their haricot beans from the usa this year a British farmer has successfully grown haricot beans, so hopefully soon we won't need to import them cutting back on polluting shipping 😊😊
My wife was born in Gibraltar to British parents. She is a British citizen. Not yet been to Gibraltar myself but it is on my bucket list for sure. Some US friends of ours just completed a Mediterranean cruise and even they visited Gibraltar. I'm feeling left out ;-)
The way I understand it... if you're born in Gib, and aren't a full British citizen by birth/ancestry (no other ties to GB, just to Gib), you MIGHT be entitled to British National (Overseas) status - BN(O). Jus Soli doesn't currently apply under British law, so the fact you're merely born on British territory doesn't automatically entitle you to British nationality (like US citizenship does if born in US territory). Whilst BNO entitles the holder to British protection wherever they might be, it doesn't automatically entitle them to the rights of a full British citizen in the UK - not without satisfying a qualifying period, and applying to become a (full) British citizen, that is. BNO status is also quite weak (as opposed to an ordinary British citzenship), and visa-free travel to many destinations would prove problematic. A Gibraltarian with BNO status loses that status if they become a (full) British Citizen - you can't waltz around with two different statuses of British passports. If they acquired British citizenship, their BNO status, detailing their links to Gibraltar, would be mentioned on a page in their passport (I think). Now, to that person who controversially claimed "I was born here... I'm Spanish". Taking away the fact that Gibraltar is British soil, and in a 2002 referendum on Sovereignty, a mere 1.03% of the people voted for Spain (no doubt she was one of that tiny portion), then if she was born in Gibraltar, and has ties to the land, she would be considered BRITISH, and be a BNO. If she was born in Gib, but to Spanish parents (who have no ties to Gib), then she's likely only a Spanish citizen. Due to Spain's constant moaning about Gibraltar sovereignty, there are many concessions available to Spanish citizens to live and work in Gibraltar. That's at least my understanding of the law and current status, as it applies.
When you first walked in to Morrisons the butcher seemed to be selling bent sausages and bacon..but i know why you didn't get bacon with your breakfast because the lady who served you took it back for her English family 🥓🥓🥓😊

Hi Lee, from what i can see...you had 2 rashers of bacon missing and also 2 slices of black pudding. You got 1 extra hash brown and extra half a tomato for the inconvenience 😂
Not a bad video that Lee. Breakfast did look very similar to the UK. I'd agree with 6.8. The innuendo about the sausage was mildly funny the 1st time but not so much after you'd mentioned it about 5 times. Full marks for originality though Lee - you are literally the only person on the planet who would review Morrisons in Gibraltar instead of The Rock. 🙄

Think I left my Brain in the UK that day. Lol. 😂 although after seeing the sausages
So you were in Gib for 5hrs and you had a fry up and fish and chips
lol
My local Morrison's are limiting you to one sauce sachet to one meal. I asked for another one, you'd think I was asking for 50 quid.
If I was a staff member, I’d just hand them over, but some of these job worths make you think it’s coming out of their own pockets!
Your paying for its takeover and the bank loans the new owners have to pay off
😂🤦🏼♂️ Morrisons what.?!!? They even have their own sauce hey.!! Not like they giving out Heinz or something 😅😅
Emily wouldn’t have forgotten your bacon and black pudding if you was at the Woodhouse one 😉
Just googled. You were missing another egg, 3 rashers of bacon and black pudding. The UK price is £7
Where is the bacon?
There should be 2 bacon and black pudding on the ultimate breakfast
Our Gibraltarian taxi driver loathed the Spanish said he's happier driving 3 hours to Portugal for a change of scene.
And I bet he’s happy to speak Spanish all day long.
Looked good Mac. Glad I'm not the only one who always seems to miss the cup/,teapot with the hot water!
Where was the bacon. We had the big brekkie in the UK and it was actually really good
lovely breakfast!!!happy weekend
Even the prices stated on the food isles were in English pounds and not euros, how bizarre 😮😮
Thats Because Gibraltar is a British Territory. Your right tho. Does seem strange tho.
They use the Pound, but issue their own coins and notes.
I think its £6.95 but you get 3 sausage,3 bacon plus hash browns(?) Beans, eggs and mushrooms with fried bread then additional cost for tea.
