I have to say, the dungeon review lore series has been really fantastic. I never get to stop and look around when running them, so it's great to see lots of details I missed over the years - and how themes have been repeated across them. It also shows there's a ton of intentional design at work from the devs and that part of the storytelling is often so overlooked.

I was questing in WoD Nagrand and found myself in the "Vault of the Titan" just east of stonecrag gorge, inside there's a floating disc with fire pulsating around it which inflicts arcane damage. It also has some pillars and architecture that looks like it belongs in Uldum

I missed this live, so I'm eager to dig into the vid! Thanks Pyro and Jay! And a lot of WoW was based on DnD lore - I had an idea of what Shadowlands would be like...because I play Pathfinder. And yeah, it's always been true that the mortal/material plane is kind of the most important realm of them all, and the shadow and fey realms overlay it like layers. Every cosmic being is always fighting for souls of mortals to go to their realm...their souls are workers and fuel in every realm, not just in the hellish ones. And after a while, that soul stuff CAN be recycled into a new soul to be born on the material plane, but the stuff of souls is HIGHLY sought after in DnD/Pathfinder. Metzen didn't jsut take cues from Warhammer, etc - DnD was very obviously a huge influence. Many classes had/have the exact same spell names and length of time for their spells and reagents used to cast them, in classic.
That bit about a song makes me think of the Fever book series by KM Moning - the fey in that series have a song of creation that they have lost because a portion of it is missing - so they cannot create new life and must constantly wipe their own memories since they live so long, and they are effectively stagnant...and how chaotic and full of life mortals are is appealing to them, but in the end they do get their song fixed, but it's this HUGE plot point the whole time. I wonder if something similar is going on here - is that 'song' literal? Is part of it missing on purpose, to keep Azeroth and all life on her in a technical stasis?

Okay hold on. Isn't Anduin another STRONG candidate for Child of Light and Shadow, arguably stronger than Arator? Because throughout his time in the game, he's a priest of the Holy Light, but he also has been seeing using Shadow Priest spells. Which, like, duh, but hear me out. In the BfA book (I believe), he used a little more Void/Shadow magic than people expected him to use. While I think Arator is the obvious gimme since he's literally the child of Lightforged Turalyon and Voidborn Alleria, he has thus far not been mentioned anywhere in any official War Within content. I'm willing to bet money that the real child of Light and Shadow is going to be Anduin.

I always assumed that the Avatar of Sargeras was used, not because of Sargeras' size (as we see the Titans take a size comparable to their keepers in the Seat of the Pantheon) but because the point was for the Avatar to die so that he could control Medivh.

@Pyromancer Consider that the circles in the paintings are not planets or stars. They are recipes, combinations of magic realms that represent various realities. Ours is labeled, but the only clues you are showing is the large, medium, and small circles that correspond with the cosmic chart. We've seen magic combinations in in-game puzzles.

"The Store Within" is the title of an Asmongold video in which he reacts to a Bellular Video about how The War Within is already dead because the Hero Talents are so bad. The title of the video changed several times from "The War Within is Dead" to "The War Within is not dead, but I have concerns regarding the Hero Talents" and finally to "The Store Within".

Pyro I have a theory that people saying xal is in SoD but I think it's azshara she's transcended the circle of stars. Also the shadowy nelf figure suits azshara more than xal. As they would just use a belf model right?

So are we to believe that someone came in and did an interior design upgrade during the last 20 years or is this some kind of retroactive lore modification?
