Seems you forgot about the beach/surfing ban during the pandemic!? 😅 (I remember watching clean lines roll through at Muizenberg for multiple days in a row with nobody on them. Crazy times!)
Never heard of a shark spotter when i was young and the beach was packed over the summer school holidays, not one attack that I know of. I’m sure there were sharks there i know the Gray Nurse liked the Cob that swam in the wind churned water. But never heard of an attack. Down Fish Hoek way they had Yellow Tail spotters on the mountain side. There was one or two attacks there by GW with the English lady really highlighting the reason to get out of the water when they’re spotted.
