I can totally relate. I'm a long-term expat and way back when I started this journey, I shared videos for family and friends of my life abroad. That was 11 years ago and then, I stopped and made most of those videos private. However, I still wanted to create content in a different way. After years, I finally started a new RUclips. I have not told anyone outside of my household about it nor have I shared the videos on my social media handles. But after getting three words about this season of my life, I wanted to document it and do so without hesitation, thinking of numbers, or what others think.

How cute that you did RUclips long ago. I used to do vintage hair tutorials and family vlogs 10+ years ago but I deleted the account three years ago and wish I didn't (and had some videos with over 10k views). I have simplified quite a lot.
I am glad that you were able to grow over time with having RUclips and that you enjoy creating as you do. It is okay if the numbers are not higher, just enjoy sharing as you have been. Who knows, maybe in a couple years, you'll have a larger view count!

God bless you sister, I feel the same way. i used to upload videos and stopped and deleted them all. I desired to put content out to bring glory to God, help others and/or just keep them company along the way of this journey through life. I have been so afraid to take this step again for years despite still making the videos. this really has encouraged me to just take that step again and commit since it is always has been and is in the back of my mind. Love this!
ps love the editing, the music, the voice overs mixed with speaking, the way you have accumulated the clips

To create a RUclips channel can be very hard and exhausting but as you mention, we need to remind ourselves of why we do make the videos. With just one video we can help or inspire some people without even knowing it. As long as it makes sense for you to make the videos, keep going 🥰

I also want to start a channel and not tell a soul!! been thinking too much about it last coouple of months. I feel so scared to be exposed on the internet even tho im an open book online but, something about people who know me from years watching stuff where i most likely will say something that might be way too personal, feels soooooo weird. I will do it bc that is also a dream of mine but idk when :''p
