Igor's ability to imagine and invent a new elegance and a new tenderness, in Eclogue 2, is truly formidable.Enchanting.
This masterpiece is in serious need of revival.
Oh my god. I thought I knew almost 100% of Stravinsky’s repertoire yet this channel is giving me amazing surprises
Do you play in an orchestra?
Juan Fernando Estrada -- De acuerdísimo....Saludos desde San Agustinillo, Oaxaca !
So glad to discover these. Great stuff
Many music historians call this period in his creative life his Neo-Classical period. To me, it sounds more like Neo-Baroque.
👍... Exact. Especially in Dityrambe
😳😱❤️🙏
thanks for doing this one, i was about to do a vid on this, but ran into trouble. ;___;
will you intend to do his danses concertates and his norwegian moods?
@@thenameisgsarci I'm re-posting Thomas van Dun's Stravinsky posts, with his agreement, after he cleared out his channel. Norwegian Moods is coming this week, but the Danses Concertantes we don't have....
@@ContemporaryClassical can i do the danses concertantes?
@@thenameisgsarci Would be great!
@@ContemporaryClassical ok gotcha
You did not clearly identify the performers.
The pianist could have played more legato. It is not marked to be percussive. Modernists of that time played modern music with expression.
He does tend to use instruments in unmusical ways to force a new sort of expressionless expression.
Amazing. The first movement sounds like some awful work from recently.
Who played?
Dora Bratchkova and Andreas Meyer-Hermann, the bottom says
