Dude . Im all the way in ; saw you were featuring your cats and i was like "awww " . After that you could make a video about anything and i'll watch ; but yeah , i've got a bum radiator on my old le sabre that ive gotta deal with .
Hey Joe, thanks. I'm replacing my friends radiator. Poor guy is disabled so I'm doing it for free. I'm really, REALLY, glad I can learn from your mistakes. I love this video, but more than that, I enjoy your attitude, your spirit and that patience. Thanks again.
Thanks JoeCube. Watched your video before then 1/2 way thru the job. Stupid transmission connector nut clip dealies! I did the top one easily... No special tool just a pick-type thingy, oh, and a magnet in hand in case the clip decided to fly. It didn't have a chance. . Now the lower one which I believe will be not so easy seeing its down yonder. Your video is easy to watch, slightly dry humorousness and definitely helpful. Thanks. Good job. Now I'll need the video on becoming independently wealthy. 👍
so that indeed is a sensor plug hole? What was the name of the plug you used for your radiator to stop the fluid from leaking out that hole? I am having the same problem w/my buick and encountered the hole after my mechanic put in my new radiator.
The funny thing is they list those Radiators with or without the LCI ( low Coolant Indicator) I ordered them both and they were the same both had the hole for the sensor stupid 2 different part numbers but the part was identical.
+thehankster127 I agree Hank. I'm thinking the two part numbers lets them know you need a plug for the hole (so they include it or install it) or you do not need the plug. I'm sure it's cheaper to produce the same part and just accommodate the sensor-less part num with a cheap plug. My issue was that I gave the correct part num and did not get the plug till I went back and presented the issue. Thanks for your comment.
Hi Joe - I'm replacing my radiator on a 2007 Lucerne so the Park Ave was a close example, thanks. I learned several good tips from you and that will make my job easier. Although mine I have to take off the front bumper too, at lease it look like it so far. It was fun to watch your video as I am from West Omaha and close by. Your personality seems a lot like mine. Thanks again!Mitch
I was just thinking the same thing. I bought a used buick that had just had its Dexcool replaced with regular green antifreeze. Less than 3 months later the water pump started leaking. So after replacing that water pump, it now has Dexcool back in it too. Now I need not worry about it for another 100,000 miles. ;-)
thanks for the vid and tips. im replacing my 05 lesabre radiator this week. im gonna do a video as well and will refer people to your video also. watching yours should speed up my process considerably. have a great one. ks
RE: Sensor plug hole. I did think about just buying the sensor. It was too much. If it was a $10 part I would have bought one and just plugged into the sensor hole.
I just moved to Omaha and I'm about to buy a 2001 Buick LeSabre! It also needs a radiator! And a few other small things... Any suggestions you can give me?
Doing it yourself check out the radiator depot in Bellevue, good prices. The other small things... use small parts. ha ha. If you are going to take your car to someone I suggest EM Transmission at 88th & Maple, owner/operator and all around honest/good guy! He also knows his way around a LeSabre.
There was a lot of 'straight-forwardness' to the job and sometimes I get lazy and make a crap video. Sorry about that. If you happen to be in Omaha, I'll come over and help. It's hella-easy... especially if you had to re-do it three times like I did.
If you are talking about the transmission cooling lines, then you are in luck friend! I made a video about that... ruclips.net/video/SsX9ciELVLE/видео.html
JoeCubicle no problem. you just made realised I might not have a cracked radiator . I got the coolant sneer plug on the radiator. that just might be my problem . I think I just need an actual plug for it like the one you got . but I took out my radiator already same way you did it. thank you for the tips and what to do .
That's pretty dumb you didn't even show yourself taking out the radiator. Am having trouble slip it out and your video don't even show yourself taking it out
I was going to do this same job on my 3.8 Bonneville ssei . Opened the hood looked around and said fuck it , took and had it done along with the thermostat and hoses , 800 something dollars later , it's all done. What a rip !! Do it yourself and save a ton.
Thanks for telling where the sensor is found. That way we can check to see if it's needed.
I'm glad I could help.

emmanuel king I took the radiator back and they gave me the plug. The guy felt bad about it, he overlooked it during the initial sale.
How many gallons of coolant does it take? And what type of coolant for this kind of car? Is it the same for 2005 le sabare custom?

JoeCubicle did you replace the condenser as well?
No, I did not.
didn't even show pulling the radiator. which is why people watch the damn video.

air conditioning lines. how you get them to come off? passenger side
If you are talking about the transmission cooling lines, then you are in luck friend! I made a video about that... ruclips.net/video/SsX9ciELVLE/видео.html
no, it's air conditioning line. plastic piece mounted on radiator. started unbolting and freon started shooting out
Lol I'm from Nebraska replacing a radiator in my mom's car she hit a deer Last week
you literally did not go step by step bolt by bolt.
Yeah I know. I kind of intended to do a step by step as it was the third time in/out. Once I got going I just zoomed through it. My apologies.
JoeCubicle no problem. you just made realised I might not have a cracked radiator . I got the coolant sneer plug on the radiator. that just might be my problem . Should’ve watched a how to on RUclips
Where the Rad plug
They never show the year you type in
Thank you sir

My apologies Liz. Grammar-up and ask nicely and I'd love to make a video with the removal steps.
@@JoeCubicle Get fucked moron. Stop running your mouth and make a proper video.
Y’all are stupid. The title literally says it’s not a “how to” video, so if you want “how to” steps then go elsewhere lol
Zach Reese Go back to school and learn how to read buddy lol
