The Dooku lightsaber is addictive.
Dooku's ignition is actually a salute. Bringing the blade to your face as a sign of respect to the person you are about to duel. This act is still done in fencing today.

Makashi is my favorite Lighstaber Form. It's pure elegance and it is effectice, though it lacks definitly in some categories as you mentioned but it is really powerful still.
(not me defending Makashi becaue I have an obsession with Dookus lightsabre 😭🤣)
I mean look at Dooku being able to stand his ground against Anikain and Obi Wan, two of the best duelists, at once while being over double the age of Obi Wan and quadtruple the age of Anikain in Revenge of the Sith. Yes he eventually lost, but considering his age it is a most impressive performance. When I fool around with my "lighstaber" (a 3 foot stick with some tape wrapped around as a hilt) I find myself mostly doing fencing sword of motions and movementa, so I often tend to use a Makashi-esque way of spinning and that.

As someone who fences, Makashi is one of my favorites as it's most similar to Sabre/Rapier systems. Only difference is, real lightsabers are heavier than the weapons I mentioned, it's a lot harder to one hand lightsaber.
Hopefully, the quality will be updated. Currently at 360p but still a great video on the second lightsaber form.
