Silver Wolf was also the most EHR hungry from all the Nihility units (as far as I know). So this really helped her out a whole lot. And gave her more potential to go for a more damage oriented build.

@@koroxo1152 Probably pushing people to wish for her. with the cookie things you buy from her event shop you can Superimpose her light cone to max level. So they give you a good lightcone that is fully superimposed. Makes you want to pull for her as well. You have a lightcone made for her why not get her too right? I think this was what they are going for. We as gamers have a "completion complex". We dont like to have just some parts of something we want all of it. A lot of people pull for signature lightcones/weapons even tho they may not be the best for that character just because it is that characters signature lightcone/weapon. Having both completes the set. the lightcone we got wasnt her signature lightcone yes but it is still made for her so when you have it you feel tempted to pull for Silverwolf to complete the set.
I saved for Silver Wolf mostly because Bronya was one of my favorite Honkai characters, but now that I have her, I can say that she's a really good character
if HSR is an alternative universe of HI3, there might be 1% possibility that kevin/siegfried or kalpas/kosma will be playable characters. I'm waiting for that day with all my willpower.

@@ra6765debuffs become valuable when your entire party can do good damage, Nihility can be better than Harmony when you plan to go two dps instead of just going for one carry as by debuffing the enemies you're essentially buffing your entire team in a sense
@@ra6765 Actually it's better to use 1 Nihility and 1 Harmony together. Debuffs and buffs contribute to a different damage calc, making total dmg numbers even higher than 2 Harmony characters. Nihility also acts as a sub-dps, providing more damage against the enemy. Also some Main dps would benefit more from debuffs, because they get self buff stats already from their talent/skill/ultimate like Yanqing and QQ for example.

Silver Wolf prioritizes to give a weakness which the enemy does not have, so let's say your team has 3 elements, if 2 of them are already the weaknesses of the enemy, she will 100% give the 3rd element weakness to the enemy. If only 1 of them is the weakness, the chance of adding each of the other two is 50%, but if she unfortunately chooses the incorrect one, next turn she will definitely choose the correct one. Considering that bosses and elite mobs have 3 weaknesses, the chance of having same elements with some of the weaknesses is very high. You will only can't control if for some reasons you decide to bring a team with 4 elements against an enemy having the other 3 out of 7 elements as weaknesses.
There is no guarantee she will change weakness every turn. She doesnt calculate any Weakness Implanted elements with her skill. Every time you use skill, it basically rolls the 50/50 again, and can give the wrong element.

@@TechyCatz You can change it, but she does not consider the implanted weakness as a weakness which the enemy already has, which means if there are more than 1 element different from the default weaknesses, she may choose the implanted element again instead of another one. I was wrong in this part.
Nihility does have a benefit of having 3 roles. Welt who can Crowd Control, Kafka and Sampo plays with DoT and Pela with Silver Wolf who helps amplify damages. Destruction comes second that while they all can toggle between STs and AoE, they play with risk in their own different ways
I would like to see Star Rail’s version of a “national team” where you just put a bunch of nihility+harmony+abundance unit into one team, and let everyone benefits off of everyone else.
theres also the Clara, March 7th, Natasha, Tingyun comp where u cant go wrong basically natasha march cc cleanse plus tingyun atk buff and energy regen then clara pure dps
so uh i know that its not fully discovered yet but i believe that it doesent matter how many of a element you have on a team its still split evenly (aka having her and 3 fire element charecters its still 50/50, so you could have 2 quantem and 3 fire and its the same chanse as 1 quantem and 3 fire)
She will be a Staple of the meta for the foreseeable future. Wont be surprised to see a "Why everyone still plays Silverwolf" video if a year or 2 from Mr.Vars
She might be viable for the first year, when players have only a few alternatives in terms of dmg-dealing characters and dedicated supports, but I don't think that she's going to remain relevant as someone might believe, when players actually get to choose their team comps among many units.
Silver Wolf is top of my list for a rerun pull. My roster right now isn’t fleshed out enough to really make use of her weakness application, but her potential in more flexible rosters later on will be huge.

SW is definitely one of those characters who will constantly get better the more quantum characters are in the game. I personally didn’t pull for Seele but got SW bc I know she is, like you said, future proof for other quantum units. Even without a quantum character, she is still so good. I use her in my Jing Yuan team and also my Clara team!
Some some other cc compare Silver Wolf to Kazuha, which sounds about right as with the VV artifact set he does boost the team's damage output by reducing enemy elemental RES Very tempted to get her, not just because hopefully she'll pair very well with mommy Kafka, but she seems to perfectly address one of the challenges of the game's combat system of enemies' elemental Weaknesses by turning it on its head in the way that Harmony characters like Bronya, Asta, and Tingyun do for the team.
The funny thing I experienced once I got her is that even though I knew she wasn't the smallest unit, she just got me shocked when I shifted from Jing Yuan to her.
Hey Vars, you might want to make an edit in your description or something. Her ability to give an enemy weakness isn't completely random and stacking elements doesn't increase the chances. She can't give a weakness to enemies who already naturally have it. So if you have a team where the enemy is weak to two are your units, that means she has gets a either a 50/50 or 100% chance of applying your desire element without having to go mono
Silver wolf's signature lightcone's effect is now changed it now gives effect hit rate, crit rate and the aether code now makes opponents take 12% increased damage for 1 turn at S1
Basically its like in Honkai Impact, people tend to focus too much on DPS characters (Seele in this case) but sorta slept on the supports. That is until they realized that supports are really freaking good in this game and are a more long lasting investment than DPS characters.
It's not like hi3 at all. Both supports and dps in that game gets replaced all the time (or whenever new dps gets released and Most likely that DPS' 2 support will be released a few patches later) if you want to stay competitive past 81+ and get actually rewarded for it. GI and MAYBE HSR makes it so that powercreep is slow and not blatant

Besides valks. They started powercreeping BIS equips for some valks. I got pissed when HoT's BIS changed cuz it took me 3 months to get benares M ;-; Oh and the ONLY reason to pull in this game is for abyss, MA, and (maybe??) ER. Since events, and recent story chapters already provides trial characters That's why I think powercreep is big problem. When it's gacha's existence is geared towards the competitive folks
She really the first character I have of the Nihility and having a unit that can debuff and add a type weakness when I don't have much variety of my units since I'm focusing on 5-6 different ones trying to make them as consistent as possible
Was saving for Luocha but my impulsiveness got the best of me and pulled for Silver Wolf, tried her and I think that's the best decision that I have ever made 🤣

It's so funny how peoples opinions are so all over the place about SW, and how they have changed so drastically after her release. We almost went from lots of doom-posting to "Silver Wolf is a must pull". I also saw several RUclipsrs talking about Nihility is always worse than Harmony, etc. Such bad takes, man. Just by the math, Silver Wolf is a beast and not nearly as niche as some people try to make her. Lastly, you do not need to run Silver Wolf in just mono teams... The elemental weakness she applies is always one that the enemy doesn't already have. This is fairly easy to manipulate.
ikr. After the first patch, I already understood that this community generally just can't TC. They do it in a literal vacuum. Which comes as a pointless blabbering. Even though, we officially knew all of the characters kits up to 1.2, except for Luka and Yukong, who weren't in CBT. And a logical assumption would be, that they work almost the same as before. Sure, different numbers, maybe the effects are changed a bit, but nothing too drastic. And as for SW, I believe she already had "smart" elemental application before, so why the default was "oh, we don't know, but surely she just doing it on random" is beyond me. "On release, she'll just become a slightly better Pela = no point in getting her. Also her debuffs are worse dmg multiplier than Ting and Bronya = she is bad" - man, it was a straight up stand-up comedy. But I guess, it's a win-win situation for hoyo and cc, as the first ones get money and second ones get views, as the general public seems to be too ignorant to view from other, more realistic perspective. You could run a team with two focused elements (e.g quantum and lightning). Like maybe Seele, silver wolf, then bailu and Jing yuan. Either way, both buffs are useful.
You forgot to mention that SW skip applying certain weakness to enemy if it already has it. So that means that you can build your team around that and guarantee which element she will apply
Silver Wolf seems pretty good, but I'm not gonna pull for her just yet. I'm missing a lot of the 5 star characters I would need to make any decent mono-element teams and I don't expect myself to get lucky enough to pull them anytime soon. I also already have both Pela and Welt to cover my Nihility needs for now, anyways, so its not like I desperately need another one right now. When my roster is a bit more diverse later down the line, then maybe I'll consider pulling for her when she gets a rerun or something.
Ive always disagreed with the take that dps get powercrept in mihoyo games. Ofc in HI3rd that is 100% the case but looking at genshin the dps havent really been powercrept for over 1.5 years rather the supports have been powercrept
I saved up for 3x 10 pulls on this event. I got her and another 5* second pull! Was so happy, she has helped me breeze through higher level content. I have pulled 3 more 10 pulls, no other 5 stars since the pull. I currently have merc set and attack orb/rope. I just recently got the ability to farm yellow relics, so i gave her what i had. Even with the attack speed that i have on her right now, shes amazing.
Been adoring Gepard, Silverwolf, Pela, and Seele in a team The amount of cc and break they get together is fantastic, and makes the game feel super fun
Apparantly the element of the weakness is not depending on how many characters of the same element you have, even if it's SW and 3 characters of the same element it will always be a 50/50, from testing, we can't still say for sure until data minders check
I’d like some advice from HSR players, should I pull silverwolf? Here’s my current situation: I have enough to get NEAR guarantee (160-ish pulls as of now) on any banner, I have no plans to pull for any characters, aside from silverwolf but with hesitation since she seems like a good support and might be useful for whoever I decide to get in the future. BUT I’m slightly worried since I’ve played Hi3 and watched as AE getting replaced by HoTr, but again, maybe she will be like Senti and stay in meta long after release? I build my team around my favorite character (which doesn’t exist currently for HSR) and want the best possible team for said character.
i got her and i already had seele, i didn't really care about her but now that i've tested her i can confidently say she is insane, every boss has become very easy now since all of them have weakness to seele and other debuffs sw brings to the table
In term of debuff and damage, she might lose it value to future char, but she have really unique skill that make her stand out than other debuffer, so i think she's gonna worth it on long run
Playing with her, I can also say that she can shine in those long drawn battles. Mostly elites and bosses Reason: Adding weaknesses to an enemy that will take quite a lot wo break can speed things up. But here's the kicker, the weaknesses she adds can't overlap with the enemy she's hitting. An example are robots. Say you have Jing Yuan, Bailu, Seele, and Wolf on your team (like me, I'm very lucky for some reason) and hit one of those robots with her skill. It will always apply Quantum onto them since they already have electric weakness. This may or may not be viable, but it's fun going into the simulated universe and slapping Geopard and Svarog with the massive burst that is entanglement
I am so doomed, I have E1 Welt, am building Silverwold and Pela, and plan to roll for Luka. If I get Kafka too, I am going to be forever stuck on that nihility calyx TT_TT

I think going 4 pc Musketeer on Silver Wolf is also a good idea. Speed helps you stack more debuffs onto your enemies, especially since the one off the basic attack is random.
Another impirtant tip if doibg a MOC try putting sane element with the enemy except for the element you want to put on the enemy Exp :- enemy weak to (wind and physical) you and you use seele silverwolf natasya n bronya The enemy have 100% chance to get quantun weakness because the other element is already on the ebeny.
I'm hoping to get her silver wolf's character because I think she'll be cool for the game in the long run, but I didn't get her character today but I did get a character that I did want prior Bronya and I'm hoping that even if I don't get a chance to get silver wolf in her banner, I'm hoping she's a five-star character that will be added on to other characters banners so that way I could still get her
Seeing how hard to build a dps unit to competitive levels, with all the reqs for traces, ascensions, and relics, SW basically becomes an enabler that allows us to focus on fewer units as possible. People say Luocha will be indispensable considering that we only have 2 healers and 1 shielder with 1 of those 2 healers and the shielder being 5star gacha, but people forget that you still have to do effective damage on enemies to get 3 stars. I believe it's much faster to just wait for a 2nd healer or a shielder than to build for a competitive dps units that can deal with every "Color" of elemental weakness that enemies would have.
The probability of applying weakness is dependent only on the number of elements present in your team, not how many characters per element you have. Whether you have 2 fire and 2 quantum or 3 fire and 1 quantum it´s the same 50/50 chance of applying either fire or quantum, so if you have only one element the chance is 100%, if you have 2 elements its 50/50, if you have 3 elements in the team it’s 33% and if every member of your team is a different element, each element has a 25% chance of its weakness being applied to the enemy
I was on the fence about whether or not to pull for her or save up for the next banner but I think this video has definitively convinced me to try for her
3:44 false, she will only apply weaknesses not already present on the enemy! Making it possible to fight enemies with units they're already weak to, with your main dps element being the only type they're not already weak to, making that always be the element that lands! Making Seele the overall most flexible partner, but against base quantum weak enemies it's not her only reliable option!
at around 3:50 or so it seems from my limited time using her that the weakness she applies isnt as random as people are saying it seems she always applies weakness the enemy doesnt have so if enemy is weak to lets say ice lightning and fire if you bring sw,seele,fire MC and bailu she will 100% only ever apply quantum so you can build around targets for boss fights
I'm so close to hard pity for her. hopefully I can grind it out before the banner ends. The first team I built was Pela, Clara, March, and Herta, so swaping Clara or Herta for Bronnie will give it more viability since I never seem to be facing enemies with ice weakness (we'll see what turns out better: loosing Clara's DPS or decreasing the chance of inflicting ice weakness)
I don't she's that good. I didn't have a good time playing with her in the trials. Enemies often resist her and this weakness change is too random. It either will not change, or it would change to an unwanted element
Since I got Welt from departure banner, I try to build SW + Welt core as a team without any main DPS. And yes, it's a rainbow team (not mono/duo type). I feel the result is surprisingly solid. The only downside is that there is no Abundance in Imaginary/Quantum right now... getting Nat's phy weakness kinda meh, unless, you also have Clara.
her E is random but controllable random bcz it priotize type that target doesnt have first, you know MoC boss weakness so you can run a team that has 50%->100% inflicting the type you need, thus x2 or x3 shield dmg, making non viable team into viable is quite good
SW enhance ur ATK scaling crit DPS equal amount of Pela debuff and Tingyun buff together together but on a ST. While it is good for sure as it makes you to bring another buffer of debuffer in your team to add some extra dmg, I feel like it's absolutely not necessary. Also her skill is pure gacha if not mono quantum which sucks
I know it isn't optimal by far, but I have been having fun with silver wolf, seele, Jing J, bailu. For content that does npt require a tank, it is really fun.
In the hall of memory, i really have to be patient because my dps didn't have the same weakness, but with silverwolf, i can clear bosses faster because she actually give the weakness to match my dps, so she actually gives big impact to my team
i got her super early at 20 pity, so that was great. I honestly just love her character and i'm f2p on honkai (after having horrible luck on genshin and spending tons of money), i'm also not super set on any of the upcoming 5 stars (except for the leaked white hair girl whos name i forgot). Sadly i was late to star rail so i wasn't able to get seele, but i hope later on i'll get her or someone better.
as a f2p player who only has yanqing i pulled for her, and i don't regret anything. my team is now Natasha, tingyun, Yanqing, and Silver wolf and just investing everything in him right now she just ensures i have nothing to fear. i was using Pela for a while but she just isn't useful enough in enough scenarios so i was just turtling with Fire MC. Now i fear no Cocolia, Svarog, or ice enemies, they fear me. Sometimes her debuff skill hits quantum instead of ice, but Quantum breaking a boss and generally lowing their res is still good enough. in the future a more specific team may be better, been thinking of getting March 7th up there but don't know if that's worth losing a healer.
For her skill alone i think the best use of it is by divided it to 2 enemies categories, enemies that weak to quantum or enemies that doesnt weak to quantum. 1. If enemies weak to quantum, use Dps that enemies doesnt weak to + adding 2 team with element match enemies so 100% will implant to our dps element. 2. Non quantum weak enemies, bringing Quantum dps is best so we force quantum weak 100% Ofc we can still use outside these scenario but in my opinion this is the better so we dont gamble on 50/50 or 33/33/33.
I have an Accelerate-Decelerate Team with Welt-Asta-SW with Nat as the healer. It’s stupid cause I did W5-2 with Kafka’s 1st phase not doing any action cause she was constantly being pushed back by Welt’s Imprisonment and the entire being accelerated by Asta and her Lightcone.
Sliver Wolf basically makes any character you want work no matter the situation, so pretty much if you have high effect hitrate and build your team right based around the enemies element weakness, you pretty much have anything will work and the enemy will have tons of debuffs and pretty much be unless the whole fight, and if the enemy has ice weakness and you have ice and quantum characters the enemy can ONLY get quantum you can’t give the enemy the base weakness they already have so you can control and rig the RNG in your favor, and if you get High effect rate like 85%-90%+ she will always apply weakness and debuffs to the enemy.
with her f2p light cone you don't need 2 piece EHR set you just need a 1 piece with EHR to level 15 and a bit of ehr substats and the ER of the enemies of higher levels was nerfed
She completely opens up viability for characters that would normally wouldn't be reccomend against certain enemies. Solely because she's able to apply weaknesses they can exploit. Fun fact, if her skill applies quantum as a weakness, that attack counts as damaging the weakness bar.
People don't understand that getting a 5* unit is not that easy and is in fact quite the expensive endeavour, there's also the fact that not all the 5* are good dps or carries. Silver Wolf aliviates the issue of not having a carry for every single element by allowing you to take what you do have into any content and making it work. Sure she is a great debuffer but the fact that she enables any comp regardless how you luck with pulls is shouldn't be taken for granted.
Another important thing to point out for mono teams, let's take fire and say the enemy has neither fire nor quantum weakness, you would think that that makes you have a 75% chance of proccing fire, but no it's 50/50, it corresponds to the amount of different elements in your team, NOT how many character is said element
I decided to go for Silver Wolf last minute admittedly, not because I didn’t like her no I think she’s great, but more so because I was trying for Jing Yuan but when I didn’t get him I realised I was on high pity with guaranteed and her banner had Dan Heng on it whos one of my mains so I decided to go for her plus try to get some Eidolons for my boy while I was at it, and oh boy I do not regret that decision in the slightest, she is awesome
Im not sure I agree. As long as there isnt speed criteria on the fight, I find Welt way more effective. ER and Effect Hit, if needed pair him with Tingyan and you can more often than not Perma lock the whole enemy line up, works shockingly well even in mini and semi bosses. It goes alot faster with Silverwolf but its WAAAAY easier with Welt. At least in my experience
Speaking of Nonplayable Paths,Why Do we already have Destruction but not other fusion/general paths that combine Preseveration and Abundance or Nihility and Harmony??😭
When we have healers from all elements, her potential will shine the most. Because then we wont be frustrated when she applies the healer's element onto the enemy, as we would have already selected a healer whose element was already present on the enemy...
Vars u forgot a important detail if the enemy already have a weakness she qont apply it so u don't need to go mono if u arw fighting a enemy weak to wind and electro u can use a team like seele silver wolf brony and bailu and it will givw quantum 100% of the time
For the skill weakness things it's simple. She can't give a weaknessthat the enemy already has and the numbers of same elements doesn't matter just the number of elements in the team so 2 =50/50, 3=33/33/33, 4=25/25/25/25 . So she can't give quantum if the enemy is weak to it already (naturally not with her skill) . So if a boss is weak too quantum and you have her in an wind team she will always give wind weakness.
This is very important to emphasize, and why she will be future proof. Once the character roster grows, we will be able to build teams that will essentially guarantee having the element weakness we want for any given enemy.

@@coconata6282 yeah it's really a double edge knife. If it's the wrong elements you have to wait for 3 more turns, if it's the right element you refresh it.
@@ohongphong9235 you can immediately refresh her skill in case she applies the wrong weakness, but that makes her more energy hungry. Also the fact that it's single target. I find it disappointing because a lot of creators mentioned she would be skill point positive due to the debuff lasting 3 turns (with a trace), so I didn't expect to waste so much points on her. She feels closer to Qingque considering her irregular usage of points. I still think she's useful, but definitely harder to build teams around without a huge roster
got her in 30 summons and still have freemium currency at 7700 jades and you bet im going hard for luocha for a amazing 5 star healer who's also imaginary.
hi hello theory crafter here few things 3:47 here 1. going multiple same element doesn't change the consistency so if u have 3 fire / 1 quantum it's still 50/50 which means only team she be consistently putting 1 element is mon quantum 2. u can get around this by playing around enemy weakness cus silver wolf won't apply a weakness enemy already naturally have u can use a teammate that fits the element and force the last element E.G enemy weakness : fire , quantum and physical now ur main dps is dan heng dan , wolf , natasha , asta now since enemy already is weak to said element only element weakness wolf will apply is wind this is even greater when facing enemy who isn't quantum weak and u having seele or a qq main as u can shift around ur party so wolf will always apply quantum sorry if this is too long i just wanted to point out that wolf is much stronger then people think she is
btw, i saw the theory crafter and so, naturally, i felt like asking, i apologize in advance if this is a bother for you. i am currently very undecisive about one thing, i was thinking of going for both Silver Wolf and Kafka, but idk if they actually pair too well, not only that, i have 60 pity, a guaranteed, and about 7k jades with 7 tickets on the ready, i believe i can get both, but if i fail the 50/50 on Kafka, i'll be very disappointed (considering she's my most desired character in all of honkai, like, i love her A TOOOOON, and i love dot teams) on the other hand, i was thinking about going for Kafka's E1, which from what i've seen, is a game changer for Kafka, and so i was wondering, in this situation, would you pull for SW and try to go for Kafka, skip SW to get Kafka and wait for another unit, or go all in on Kafka?
@@kynriayurei to answer the first question , no kafka is played in a DoT where it's bunch of sub dps collectively build up their dmg where wolf is mainly use for more hypercarry centric where u would want to ensure u applying the right weakness that said both of them can still work together if u doing mono electro as for my second question i would say go for wolf and kafka cus more char = more fun [well for me at least] but keep in mind is just my suggestion if u really afraid of not getting kafka it is also fine to wait for u but as rn if u going to pull on the banner I'll say have the best of luck :pepeprayge:

The take on her E is a terrible one. Silver Wolf does not apply an elemental weakness that already exist on the enemy, which means going forward with more healers / tanks, we can always run at least silver wolf + 1 healer / tank that block out 1 existing weakness + a buff (that can also block out another weakness) + almost any dps. if anything, Silver Wolf's E makes team building a more intricate process than just monke Silver Wolf + 3 of the same element, since the entire team building process is what controls which weakness you apply on enemy.
Kinda of unrelated but since I lost 50/50 on SW banner, should I roll again next banner for Yukong and potentially Luocha, or wait for Blade/ Kafka? I am really hesitating on Luocha since I have bailu already, and I am afraid Kafka might be irrelevant if I don't have SW
At 3:45 I think I need to point out that there's a theorycrafter who posted about silverwolf video yesterday that someone tested that if u use mono element team that is not Quantum, the chances of implementing the element is not based on number of party members with the same element (3 fire + sw), it will always be 50-50 for quantum and fire. It's kinda misleading if u say that 3:1 ratio gives a higher chance of getting the element u want to added to the opponent's weakness. IIRC, it is stated on grim... something channel and he also give credit on the other theorycrafter who tested the quantum+ 3 member same element. I always love watching your vids but if the calculation of the other theorycrafter is true, please, don't try to give misleading info to the community.
I really wish I had started playing the game more often and more seriously when Seele was around so I could get her but unfortunately she’s not around anymore. I might start getting into Honkai Star Rail and go for Silver Wolf. I’m still at the very start of the game but I definitely want to give the game more of a shot plus not be too lazy and start playing for real.

Another important thing is that hoyoverse nerfed the effect resistance on higher level enemies, making nihility units more consistent and less reliant on effect hit rate

Silver Wolf was also the most EHR hungry from all the Nihility units (as far as I know). So this really helped her out a whole lot. And gave her more potential to go for a more damage oriented build.

@@koroxo1152 Probably pushing people to wish for her. with the cookie things you buy from her event shop you can Superimpose her light cone to max level. So they give you a good lightcone that is fully superimposed. Makes you want to pull for her as well. You have a lightcone made for her why not get her too right? I think this was what they are going for. We as gamers have a "completion complex". We dont like to have just some parts of something we want all of it. A lot of people pull for signature lightcones/weapons even tho they may not be the best for that character just because it is that characters signature lightcone/weapon. Having both completes the set. the lightcone we got wasnt her signature lightcone yes but it is still made for her so when you have it you feel tempted to pull for Silverwolf to complete the set.
It will be funny if hoyo buff the enemy res when SW banner end tho

@@ra6765debuffs become valuable when your entire party can do good damage, Nihility can be better than Harmony when you plan to go two dps instead of just going for one carry as by debuffing the enemies you're essentially buffing your entire team in a sense
@@ra6765 Actually it's better to use 1 Nihility and 1 Harmony together.
Debuffs and buffs contribute to a different damage calc, making total dmg numbers even higher than 2 Harmony characters.
Nihility also acts as a sub-dps, providing more damage against the enemy.
Also some Main dps would benefit more from debuffs, because they get self buff stats already from their talent/skill/ultimate like Yanqing and QQ for example.

Silver Wolf prioritizes to give a weakness which the enemy does not have, so let's say your team has 3 elements, if 2 of them are already the weaknesses of the enemy, she will 100% give the 3rd element weakness to the enemy. If only 1 of them is the weakness, the chance of adding each of the other two is 50%, but if she unfortunately chooses the incorrect one, next turn she will definitely choose the correct one. Considering that bosses and elite mobs have 3 weaknesses, the chance of having same elements with some of the weaknesses is very high. You will only can't control if for some reasons you decide to bring a team with 4 elements against an enemy having the other 3 out of 7 elements as weaknesses.

There is no guarantee she will change weakness every turn. She doesnt calculate any Weakness Implanted elements with her skill.
Every time you use skill, it basically rolls the 50/50 again, and can give the wrong element.

@@TechyCatz You can change it, but she does not consider the implanted weakness as a weakness which the enemy already has, which means if there are more than 1 element different from the default weaknesses, she may choose the implanted element again instead of another one. I was wrong in this part.
Nihility does have a benefit of having 3 roles. Welt who can Crowd Control, Kafka and Sampo plays with DoT and Pela with Silver Wolf who helps amplify damages. Destruction comes second that while they all can toggle between STs and AoE, they play with risk in their own different ways

Silver Wolf is top of my list for a rerun pull. My roster right now isn’t fleshed out enough to really make use of her weakness application, but her potential in more flexible rosters later on will be huge.

SW is definitely one of those characters who will constantly get better the more quantum characters are in the game. I personally didn’t pull for Seele but got SW bc I know she is, like you said, future proof for other quantum units. Even without a quantum character, she is still so good. I use her in my Jing Yuan team and also my Clara team!
Some some other cc compare Silver Wolf to Kazuha, which sounds about right as with the VV artifact set he does boost the team's damage output by reducing enemy elemental RES
Very tempted to get her, not just because hopefully she'll pair very well with mommy Kafka, but she seems to perfectly address one of the challenges of the game's combat system of enemies' elemental Weaknesses by turning it on its head in the way that Harmony characters like Bronya, Asta, and Tingyun do for the team.
The funny thing I experienced once I got her is that even though I knew she wasn't the smallest unit, she just got me shocked when I shifted from Jing Yuan to her.
Hey Vars, you might want to make an edit in your description or something. Her ability to give an enemy weakness isn't completely random and stacking elements doesn't increase the chances. She can't give a weakness to enemies who already naturally have it. So if you have a team where the enemy is weak to two are your units, that means she has gets a either a 50/50 or 100% chance of applying your desire element without having to go mono
Silver wolf's signature lightcone's effect is now changed it now gives effect hit rate, crit rate and the aether code now makes opponents take 12% increased damage for 1 turn at S1
Basically its like in Honkai Impact, people tend to focus too much on DPS characters (Seele in this case) but sorta slept on the supports. That is until they realized that supports are really freaking good in this game and are a more long lasting investment than DPS characters.
It's not like hi3 at all. Both supports and dps in that game gets replaced all the time (or whenever new dps gets released and Most likely that DPS' 2 support will be released a few patches later) if you want to stay competitive past 81+ and get actually rewarded for it. GI and MAYBE HSR makes it so that powercreep is slow and not blatant

She really the first character I have of the Nihility and having a unit that can debuff and add a type weakness when I don't have much variety of my units since I'm focusing on 5-6 different ones trying to make them as consistent as possible
Was saving for Luocha but my impulsiveness got the best of me and pulled for Silver Wolf, tried her and I think that's the best decision that I have ever made 🤣
I think it's a bit early to have a "Meta" when most players haven't even reached level 60 yet and character options are pretty limited.

One thing I love about her skill is its win-win-win nature. Either it inflicts a quantum weakness, another teammate's weakness, or they're already quantum-weak and you break their toughness 👏

Silver Wolf's character design alone for me makes it a must pull, then again her overall abilities is a massive plus to me.
It's so funny how peoples opinions are so all over the place about SW, and how they have changed so drastically after her release. We almost went from lots of doom-posting to "Silver Wolf is a must pull".
I also saw several RUclipsrs talking about Nihility is always worse than Harmony, etc. Such bad takes, man.
Just by the math, Silver Wolf is a beast and not nearly as niche as some people try to make her.
Lastly, you do not need to run Silver Wolf in just mono teams... The elemental weakness she applies is always one that the enemy doesn't already have. This is fairly easy to manipulate.
ikr. After the first patch, I already understood that this community generally just can't TC. They do it in a literal vacuum. Which comes as a pointless blabbering. Even though, we officially knew all of the characters kits up to 1.2, except for Luka and Yukong, who weren't in CBT. And a logical assumption would be, that they work almost the same as before. Sure, different numbers, maybe the effects are changed a bit, but nothing too drastic.
And as for SW, I believe she already had "smart" elemental application before, so why the default was "oh, we don't know, but surely she just doing it on random" is beyond me. "On release, she'll just become a slightly better Pela = no point in getting her. Also her debuffs are worse dmg multiplier than Ting and Bronya = she is bad" - man, it was a straight up stand-up comedy.
But I guess, it's a win-win situation for hoyo and cc, as the first ones get money and second ones get views, as the general public seems to be too ignorant to view from other, more realistic perspective. Can't wait for "LUOCHA IS NOT THAT GOOD?!?!?!?!" videos flooding RUclips upon his release.

You could run a team with two focused elements (e.g quantum and lightning). Like maybe Seele, silver wolf, then bailu and Jing yuan. Either way, both buffs are useful.
You forgot to mention that SW skip applying certain weakness to enemy if it already has it. So that means that you can build your team around that and guarantee which element she will apply

And one thing I noticed that if you build your team around the stuff your fighting then you can force one weakness that you prefer
Silver Wolf seems pretty good, but I'm not gonna pull for her just yet. I'm missing a lot of the 5 star characters I would need to make any decent mono-element teams and I don't expect myself to get lucky enough to pull them anytime soon. I also already have both Pela and Welt to cover my Nihility needs for now, anyways, so its not like I desperately need another one right now. When my roster is a bit more diverse later down the line, then maybe I'll consider pulling for her when she gets a rerun or something.
Ive always disagreed with the take that dps get powercrept in mihoyo games. Ofc in HI3rd that is 100% the case but looking at genshin the dps havent really been powercrept for over 1.5 years rather the supports have been powercrept
I saved up for 3x 10 pulls on this event. I got her and another 5* second pull! Was so happy, she has helped me breeze through higher level content. I have pulled 3 more 10 pulls, no other 5 stars since the pull. I currently have merc set and attack orb/rope. I just recently got the ability to farm yellow relics, so i gave her what i had. Even with the attack speed that i have on her right now, shes amazing.
Been adoring Gepard, Silverwolf, Pela, and Seele in a team
The amount of cc and break they get together is fantastic, and makes the game feel super fun
Apparantly the element of the weakness is not depending on how many characters of the same element you have, even if it's SW and 3 characters of the same element it will always be a 50/50, from testing, we can't still say for sure until data minders check
I was already at pity when I pulled for her, and I won the 50/50. I got Welt's light cone on the standard banner pity so that worked out.
I’d like some advice from HSR players, should I pull silverwolf?
Here’s my current situation: I have enough to get NEAR guarantee (160-ish pulls as of now) on any banner, I have no plans to pull for any characters, aside from silverwolf but with hesitation since she seems like a good support and might be useful for whoever I decide to get in the future. BUT I’m slightly worried since I’ve played Hi3 and watched as AE getting replaced by HoTr, but again, maybe she will be like Senti and stay in meta long after release? I build my team around my favorite character (which doesn’t exist currently for HSR) and want the best possible team for said character.

i got her and i already had seele, i didn't really care about her but now that i've tested her i can confidently say she is insane, every boss has become very easy now since all of them have weakness to seele and other debuffs sw brings to the table
In term of debuff and damage, she might lose it value to future char, but she have really unique skill that make her stand out than other debuffer, so i think she's gonna worth it on long run
This maybe a honkai game but its more like genshin so supports most likely do not get power creeped. So yes get her!
Finally I can spam my 3 electro (Jing Yuan Tingyun Bailu) team without having to worry about weakness. Silver Wolf is game-changing.

Playing with her, I can also say that she can shine in those long drawn battles. Mostly elites and bosses
Reason: Adding weaknesses to an enemy that will take quite a lot wo break can speed things up. But here's the kicker, the weaknesses she adds can't overlap with the enemy she's hitting. An example are robots. Say you have Jing Yuan, Bailu, Seele, and Wolf on your team (like me, I'm very lucky for some reason) and hit one of those robots with her skill. It will always apply Quantum onto them since they already have electric weakness. This may or may not be viable, but it's fun going into the simulated universe and slapping Geopard and Svarog with the massive burst that is entanglement

I think going 4 pc Musketeer on Silver Wolf is also a good idea. Speed helps you stack more debuffs onto your enemies, especially since the one off the basic attack is random.
Another impirtant tip if doibg a MOC try putting sane element with the enemy except for the element you want to put on the enemy

I'm hoping to get her silver wolf's character because I think she'll be cool for the game in the long run, but I didn't get her character today but I did get a character that I did want prior Bronya and I'm hoping that even if I don't get a chance to get silver wolf in her banner, I'm hoping she's a five-star character that will be added on to other characters banners so that way I could still get her
Seeing how hard to build a dps unit to competitive levels, with all the reqs for traces, ascensions, and relics, SW basically becomes an enabler that allows us to focus on fewer units as possible.
People say Luocha will be indispensable considering that we only have 2 healers and 1 shielder with 1 of those 2 healers and the shielder being 5star gacha, but people forget that you still have to do effective damage on enemies to get 3 stars.
I believe it's much faster to just wait for a 2nd healer or a shielder than to build for a competitive dps units that can deal with every "Color" of elemental weakness that enemies would have.
The probability of applying weakness is dependent only on the number of elements present in your team, not how many characters per element you have.
Whether you have 2 fire and 2 quantum or 3 fire and 1 quantum it´s the same 50/50 chance of applying either fire or quantum, so if you have only one element the chance is 100%, if you have 2 elements its 50/50, if you have 3 elements in the team it’s 33% and if every member of your team is a different element, each element has a 25% chance of its weakness being applied to the enemy
I was on the fence about whether or not to pull for her or save up for the next banner but I think this video has definitively convinced me to try for her

Making it possible to fight enemies with units they're already weak to, with your main dps element being the only type they're not already weak to, making that always be the element that lands!
Making Seele the overall most flexible partner, but against base quantum weak enemies it's not her only reliable option!
I got her in 7 pulls when I first started playing, Qingque and both bronyas carried me to TL30 with ease

at around 3:50 or so it seems from my limited time using her that the weakness she applies isnt as random as people are saying

so if enemy is weak to lets say ice lightning and fire
if you bring sw,seele,fire MC and bailu she will 100% only ever apply quantum
so you can build around targets for boss fights
I'm so close to hard pity for her. hopefully I can grind it out before the banner ends. The first team I built was Pela, Clara, March, and Herta, so swaping Clara or Herta for Bronnie will give it more viability since I never seem to be facing enemies with ice weakness (we'll see what turns out better: loosing Clara's DPS or decreasing the chance of inflicting ice weakness)
I don't she's that good. I didn't have a good time playing with her in the trials. Enemies often resist her and this weakness change is too random. It either will not change, or it would change to an unwanted element
Since I got Welt from departure banner, I try to build SW + Welt core as a team without any main DPS. And yes, it's a rainbow team (not mono/duo type). I feel the result is surprisingly solid.
The only downside is that there is no Abundance in Imaginary/Quantum right now... getting Nat's phy weakness kinda meh, unless, you also have Clara.
her E is random but controllable random bcz it priotize type that target doesnt have first, you know MoC boss weakness so you can run a team that has 50%->100% inflicting the type you need, thus x2 or x3 shield dmg, making non viable team into viable is quite good

SW enhance ur ATK scaling crit DPS equal amount of Pela debuff and Tingyun buff together together but on a ST. While it is good for sure as it makes you to bring another buffer of debuffer in your team to add some extra dmg, I feel like it's absolutely not necessary. Also her skill is pure gacha if not mono quantum which sucks

In the hall of memory, i really have to be patient because my dps didn't have the same weakness, but with silverwolf, i can clear bosses faster because she actually give the weakness to match my dps, so she actually gives big impact to my team

i got her super early at 20 pity, so that was great. I honestly just love her character and i'm f2p on honkai (after having horrible luck on genshin and spending tons of money), i'm also not super set on any of the upcoming 5 stars (except for the leaked white hair girl whos name i forgot). Sadly i was late to star rail so i wasn't able to get seele, but i hope later on i'll get her or someone better.
as a f2p player who only has yanqing i pulled for her, and i don't regret anything. my team is now Natasha, tingyun, Yanqing, and Silver wolf and just investing everything in him right now she just ensures i have nothing to fear. i was using Pela for a while but she just isn't useful enough in enough scenarios so i was just turtling with Fire MC. Now i fear no Cocolia, Svarog, or ice enemies, they fear me. Sometimes her debuff skill hits quantum instead of ice, but Quantum breaking a boss and generally lowing their res is still good enough. in the future a more specific team may be better, been thinking of getting March 7th up there but don't know if that's worth losing a healer.
For her skill alone i think the best use of it is by divided it to 2 enemies categories, enemies that weak to quantum or enemies that doesnt weak to quantum.
1. If enemies weak to quantum, use Dps that enemies doesnt weak to + adding 2 team with element match enemies so 100% will implant to our dps element.
2. Non quantum weak enemies, bringing Quantum dps is best so we force quantum weak 100%
Ofc we can still use outside these scenario but in my opinion this is the better so we dont gamble on 50/50 or 33/33/33.
I have an Accelerate-Decelerate Team with Welt-Asta-SW with Nat as the healer.
It’s stupid cause I did W5-2 with Kafka’s 1st phase not doing any action cause she was constantly being pushed back by Welt’s Imprisonment and the entire being accelerated by Asta and her Lightcone.
Sliver Wolf basically makes any character you want work no matter the situation, so pretty much if you have high effect hitrate and build your team right based around the enemies element weakness, you pretty much have anything will work and the enemy will have tons of debuffs and pretty much be unless the whole fight, and if the enemy has ice weakness and you have ice and quantum characters the enemy can ONLY get quantum you can’t give the enemy the base weakness they already have so you can control and rig the RNG in your favor, and if you get High effect rate like 85%-90%+ she will always apply weakness and debuffs to the enemy.
With her F2P lightcone you just need to build one 5 star body EHR to max then you can do what you want with the other relics set
@@Ilikegames804 That’s what I did my body piece is Effect Hit Rate and I have the 4 star light cone maxed and always hit my debuffs.
I think the effect hit rate 2-piece set is better as enemies above level 60 have insane levels of effect resistance. like I'm talking 50%-60%
with her f2p light cone you don't need 2 piece EHR set you just need a 1 piece with EHR to level 15 and a bit of ehr substats and the ER of the enemies of higher levels was nerfed
their effect resistance got nerfed a lot in this patch, you don't need to focus on ehr on her anymore

She completely opens up viability for characters that would normally wouldn't be reccomend against certain enemies. Solely because she's able to apply weaknesses they can exploit.
Fun fact, if her skill applies quantum as a weakness, that attack counts as damaging the weakness bar.
People don't understand that getting a 5* unit is not that easy and is in fact quite the expensive endeavour, there's also the fact that not all the 5* are good dps or carries. Silver Wolf aliviates the issue of not having a carry for every single element by allowing you to take what you do have into any content and making it work. Sure she is a great debuffer but the fact that she enables any comp regardless how you luck with pulls is shouldn't be taken for granted.
Another important thing to point out for mono teams, let's take fire and say the enemy has neither fire nor quantum weakness, you would think that that makes you have a 75% chance of proccing fire, but no it's 50/50, it corresponds to the amount of different elements in your team, NOT how many character is said element
I decided to go for Silver Wolf last minute admittedly, not because I didn’t like her no I think she’s great, but more so because I was trying for Jing Yuan but when I didn’t get him I realised I was on high pity with guaranteed and her banner had Dan Heng on it whos one of my mains so I decided to go for her plus try to get some Eidolons for my boy while I was at it, and oh boy I do not regret that decision in the slightest, she is awesome

As long as there isnt speed criteria on the fight, I find Welt way more effective.
ER and Effect Hit, if needed pair him with Tingyan and you can more often than not Perma lock the whole enemy line up, works shockingly well even in mini and semi bosses.
It goes alot faster with Silverwolf but its WAAAAY easier with Welt.

When we have healers from all elements, her potential will shine the most. Because then we wont be frustrated when she applies the healer's element onto the enemy, as we would have already selected a healer whose element was already present on the enemy...
yeah nihility is either based on DoT or debuffs, and I think kafka will make DoT builds insane bc she can proc all DoT on enemies with her skill

Vars u forgot a important detail if the enemy already have a weakness she qont apply it so u don't need to go mono if u arw fighting a enemy weak to wind and electro u can use a team like seele silver wolf brony and bailu and it will givw quantum 100% of the time
For the skill weakness things it's simple. She can't give a weaknessthat the enemy already has and the numbers of same elements doesn't matter just the number of elements in the team so 2 =50/50, 3=33/33/33, 4=25/25/25/25 . So she can't give quantum if the enemy is weak to it already (naturally not with her skill) . So if a boss is weak too quantum and you have her in an wind team she will always give wind weakness.
Also if her weakness is already applied it will guranteed inflict a different weakness when she uses her skill
This is very important to emphasize, and why she will be future proof.
Once the character roster grows, we will be able to build teams that will essentially guarantee having the element weakness we want for any given enemy.
@@Sylvie00 No, she can still apply the same weakness many times in a row (if the enemy isn't naturally weak to it as OP says). I experienced that a couple times which can be pretty annoying
@@coconata6282 yeah it's really a double edge knife. If it's the wrong elements you have to wait for 3 more turns, if it's the right element you refresh it.
@@ohongphong9235 you can immediately refresh her skill in case she applies the wrong weakness, but that makes her more energy hungry. Also the fact that it's single target.
I find it disappointing because a lot of creators mentioned she would be skill point positive due to the debuff lasting 3 turns (with a trace), so I didn't expect to waste so much points on her. She feels closer to Qingque considering her irregular usage of points. I still think she's useful, but definitely harder to build teams around without a huge roster

1. going multiple same element doesn't change the consistency
so if u have 3 fire / 1 quantum it's still 50/50
which means only team she be consistently putting 1 element is mon quantum
2. u can get around this by playing around enemy weakness
cus silver wolf won't apply a weakness enemy already naturally have u can use a teammate that fits the element and force the last element
E.G
enemy weakness : fire , quantum and physical
now ur main dps is dan heng
dan , wolf , natasha , asta
now since enemy already is weak to said element only element weakness wolf will apply is wind
this is even greater when facing enemy who isn't quantum weak and u having seele or a qq main as u can shift around ur party so wolf will always apply quantum

i am currently very undecisive about one thing, i was thinking of going for both Silver Wolf and Kafka, but idk if they actually pair too well, not only that, i have 60 pity, a guaranteed, and about 7k jades with 7 tickets on the ready, i believe i can get both, but if i fail the 50/50 on Kafka, i'll be very disappointed (considering she's my most desired character in all of honkai, like, i love her A TOOOOON, and i love dot teams)
on the other hand, i was thinking about going for Kafka's E1, which from what i've seen, is a game changer for Kafka, and so i was wondering, in this situation, would you pull for SW and try to go for Kafka, skip SW to get Kafka and wait for another unit, or go all in on Kafka?

kafka is played in a DoT where it's bunch of sub dps collectively build up their dmg where wolf is mainly use for more hypercarry centric where u would want to ensure u applying the right weakness
that said both of them can still work together if u doing mono electro
as for my second question i would say go for wolf and kafka cus more char = more fun [well for me at least] but keep in mind is just my suggestion
if u really afraid of not getting kafka it is also fine to wait for u

The take on her E is a terrible one. Silver Wolf does not apply an elemental weakness that already exist on the enemy, which means going forward with more healers / tanks, we can always run at least silver wolf + 1 healer / tank that block out 1 existing weakness + a buff (that can also block out another weakness) + almost any dps.
if anything, Silver Wolf's E makes team building a more intricate process than just monke Silver Wolf + 3 of the same element, since the entire team building process is what controls which weakness you apply on enemy.

I think I need to point out that there's a theorycrafter who posted about silverwolf video yesterday that someone tested that if u use mono element team that is not Quantum, the chances of implementing the element is not based on number of party members with the same element (3 fire + sw), it will always be 50-50 for quantum and fire. It's kinda misleading if u say that 3:1 ratio gives a higher chance of getting the element u want to added to the opponent's weakness. IIRC, it is stated on grim... something channel and he also give credit on the other theorycrafter who tested the quantum+ 3 member same element. I always love watching your vids but if the calculation of the other theorycrafter is true, please, don't try to give misleading info to the community.

I really wish I had started playing the game more often and more seriously when Seele was around so I could get her but unfortunately she’s not around anymore. I might start getting into Honkai Star Rail and go for Silver Wolf. I’m still at the very start of the game but I definitely want to give the game more of a shot plus not be too lazy and start playing for real.
Seele will be back if you want her. Mihoyo always reruns characters. Give it 5 months.
