Love this sweater pattern!! It's an xmas gift for my brothers chihuaha. Knuckles. The front post idea, continuous was nice way to make ribbing. Many patterns start with the neck. I like this way. Thanks again..
Hey there! I just got a little chihuahua mix thingy and she is SOOOO cold. First i tried your XS sweater, but i hadn't touched a hook in 2 years, and i was a beginner then... I have NO IDEA why i thought it would be a good idea to to the main color black, but lets just say, the night after i "finished" that one, I pulled it all out, and yesterday, i started on the small, using black as the accent color, and hot pink for the main. MUCH better, but i still did something wrong (I know what I did, now). It is wearable, but I have 10 dogs, and i want to get it right, so tonight i am doing it again, with just purple, because i haven't been able to get to town, and it it the only other color beside black or navy blue. I wanted to THANK you for how easy it was to follow you in both tutorials. I know i can be a little slow, so i put on the captions, PLUS followed transcription, and made use of the pause button and even the back/forward 10seconds thing.... Reading the comments had me cracking up that these people were all complaining that you needed to do something else because they couldn't figure out how to use RUclips or common sense of PAUSE. I hope to check out more of your videos when i'm done with the project of the dogs sweaters.
Thank you I’m just half way through mine, will finish tomorrow, so far so good. Tip.... I’m writing down your instructions as I go that way I’ll have it for the future. Can’t wait to finish Maggie’s Christmas present.
hi, may i know if i can determine the size from row 4? does it determine how wide it is when i fold it over ? i’ve done up till row 4 with a 4mm hook and i’m not sure if i can determine if it’ll fit my toy poodle 3kg cos it looks slightly longer in your video haha. i didn’t have a 5 hook.
Im just a little confused. When. On rows 13-22, when did you switch back to maroon? You were working in gray then when you got to the end of row 22, you were using maroon.
Yeah, I lost count some how you had 40 st and I was 3 st off.. Guess I wasn't clear on the instructions. I believe the issue is I was not sure if I should start my st count from the very first st. which I guess is the turning chain or start my count with the actual 2nd st. I'm very confused. So, I am just going to have to wing it.
So sorry for the confusion. It will be starting in the first st of the row, not skipping and going into the 2nd st. Instead of starting the sweater over you maybe able to add those stitches into a few rows. I hope the helps it will be a total of 40 stitches, doing a ch 1 and the first stitch in the same
For rows 24-27 you will sl st, ch 1 and turn your work. Then there will be a decrease row and after the decrease row then you start to do front post double crochet, and from that point on you will NOT turn your work you will continue working around the sweater making sure your front post double crochet is on the "finished/right side" of the sweater.
Oh I'm not sure exactly how many to chain, the sweater should measure 12 inches around and you will need to add several rows (I'm assuming) to get it to 12 inches long.
Hello, thank you for watching here is my video for a xs size. I will also be making a mini size video this week if the xs is still too big. ruclips.net/video/cWV-JzttKaM/видео.html
The mini sweater will probably be the one that will fit a 4 pound dog 😊 yes you could try with dividing the stitches or if you dont feel comfortable with that I will have that video posted by Friday
That would be great! Thank you! It will help a lot if it has written instructions in pdf format. Great design, color combinations and explanation. Thank you!
No, what probably happened was you doubled the stitches. So I would assume you added your front post double crochet too soon as you should of went around the next post.
Pls include written instructions. Also, to see if this was the pattern, i watched a bit and couldn’t determine where you start from. I’d like to know where im headed
It still say 12- 22 because I hadn't got to row 22 yet even though I changed my yarn. I was showing that we were continuing with the same direction even if you didnt choose to make the sweater in multiple colors.
As a beginner, I appreciate your clear directions and great videoing !Thank you for sharing your talents with us!

I really enjoyed your video, do you think you could do a Halloween sweater, for a small dog?Again thank you

hi how much eye I needed to make for size m. thank you for your answer 😊
1 skein will do 😊
This won't fit either one of my dogs I wold need it to be a couple inches bigger around. Do you have a pattern to go bigger?
Hi Merry, here is my video for a medium size ruclips.net/video/_Mk2RHa_K_o/видео.html
Im new to this. Thank you! You said chain 38 but the screen shows *37* what does that mean?
Sorry for the confusion, chain 37 I misspoke
What size for a French bulldog
So does this mean the counts are all off? If you started with 37 then row two should be 35 stitches?
Start with a ch 37 then it is hdc 36 because you are making your first hdc in the second ch from the hook
In rows 24-27, do you slip stitch, chain 1 and then turn your work? Or do you slip stitch and keep going without chaining 1 and turning your work???
For rows 24-27 you will sl st, ch 1 and turn your work. Then there will be a decrease row and after the decrease row then you start to do front post double crochet, and from that point on you will NOT turn your work you will continue working around the sweater making sure your front post double crochet is on the "finished/right side" of the sweater.
If I were to use 2 weight yarn with a 4 hook, how many chains to start?
Oh I'm not sure exactly how many to chain, the sweater should measure 12 inches around and you will need to add several rows (I'm assuming) to get it to 12 inches long.
@@mariaheartsyarn I just decided to wing it my best using your instructions lol
I hope it works out 😊
Do you think this coat would be suitable for a cat?
Pattern: mariaheartsyarn.co/product/small-crochet-dog-sweater/
Very easy thank you
Thank you for watching 😊
Can I do a smaller one just maybe cut stitches in half. The puppy is a miniature puppy and weighs 4 lb

ruclips.net/video/IMdMQ9zjJ8Q/видео.html
Will this fit a mini doxie 14 lbs?
Yes it should:) double check to see how it fits around your dogs at about row 14. If too snug I would do my medium size
Would be nice if you could show it on a dog.
Is the ch1 at the start of each row included as a st? thanks :)
No, not included as a sts.
Beautiful! How can I change size from small to medium? Thank you!
Hello, Thank you. Increase hook size to 5.5 mm. Stay tuned I plan on uploading that video in the next few days.
That would be great! Thank you! It will help a lot if it has written instructions in pdf format. Great design, color combinations and explanation. Thank you!
Would this fit a cockapoo? I've made 2 of your medi soze and sje wears them but they're a little bit to big for her. Love your videos ❤
my top part (the collar i guess) ruffled...was that not supposed to happen?
No, what probably happened was you doubled the stitches. So I would assume you added your front post double crochet too soon as you should of went around the next post.
Is there a written pattern any where ?
Pls include written instructions. Also, to see if this was the pattern, i watched a bit and couldn’t determine where you start from. I’d like to know where im headed
There are written instructions throughout the video. I start from the end of the sweater near the tail and work my way to the neck.
When you changed back to red you said 12-22 again?
It still say 12- 22 because I hadn't got to row 22 yet even though I changed my yarn. I was showing that we were continuing with the same direction even if you didnt choose to make the sweater in multiple colors.
You have different sizes
for beg dog moor 45 tell me please
I am really sorry I'm not sure what you are asking for. Can you rework your question
What is the total number of rows? Certainly not 27.
The total number of rows is 32
You need to fast forward your crocheting.
Sorry
Why does it say ch *37* but you say ch 38?
Casie Lee Champion she corrected herself, what is typed on the video with the * is the correct amount of stitches.
Sorry about that, I accidentally said the wrong number. Ch 37
Thanks!! Appreciate the pattern a lot :)
Absolutely 😊 thanks for watching
The video goes to fast, I can't get what you're doing in your rows
I like the pattern but the tutorial is way too fast to be teaching how to do it..
I am so sorry it's too fast. There is a way to slow down the speed or the video by pressing the dots and choosing play back speed
WAY TOO FAST!
So sorry, there is a way to slow down the video if needed. By pressing the 3 dots and changing the playback speed.
