Sultan Murad (Metin Akdülger) learns that Kösem Sultan wanted to kill him. Sultan Murad learns that his governor has agreed with the physician and sends Emir Çelebi's head to Kösem Sultan (Nurgül Yeşilçay). Valide Kösem Sultan, who learned that Sinan Pasha was a traitor, realizes that he has been exposed. Helpless corners. Knowing that Sultan Murad will not stop anymore, Kösem Sultan takes measures to protect Şehzade İbrahim.

Bağdat’tan dönen Sultan Murad, aldığı savaş yaralarıyla iyice takatten düşer. Hastalığı iyice ilerleyen Sultan Murad yatağa düşer. Sultan Murad’ın vaziyetinin kötü olduğunu öğrenen Kösem Sultan oğlunun başında bekler. Ana oğul hasta yatağında hesaplaşır.

After Ahmed’s death Kosem had to face so much until Murad sat on the throne. Kosem fought alone, she was such a brave lady. Ahmed deserved to rule more tho because he was smart, sadly he couldn’t. Even though Ahmed’s and Kosem’s love story was just amazing like some fairy tale
but we have to accept the reality

Hurrem died in Suleyman's hands because living without him would have been impossible for her the same could be said about Ahmed he died in Kosem's hands because until he met her he didn't really live so living without her would be impossible to him. Suleyman and Kosem are stronger in that sense although they lived in pain and waited to be reunited with them after their death they could hold on until then unlike Hurrem and Ahmed.
suleyman only had two wait 8 years and he still had his precious Mihrimah and Selim. Kosem had to wait over 40 years full of misery and blood. plus i hate suleyman but youre right

The sultan spent the last 10 days of Ramadan in 1617 by retreating to a mosque and praying in accordance with Prophet Muhammad's sunnah (tradition). He fell ill during this period and died of fever a couple of weeks later. He was buried in the tomb next to the mosque he had built. A day before his death, a servant heard the sultan saying “alaikum as-salam” four times. When the servant told the sultan that there is no one in the room, the sultan responded: “Abu Bakr, Omar, Uthman and Ali (the first four caliphs) came and greeted me. They told me that I’ll be ascending to appear before our prophet tomorrow.”

How sad..the story begins with Sultan Ahmed, he’s the hero of the story..and he left us too soon in the middle of the road, leaving his Anastasia-Kosem..to navigate the dirty politics alone, taking care of their beautiful children that they’ve made along the way alone..

I recall he died from a disease instead of poison. But I think that might have been lame in the eyes of the writers.
Ahmed I died from typhus, not poisoning. There was no Yasmeen in real life. Bayazed and Sulaiman were Mahfiruz's sons, she didnt die in the revolt as shown in the show.

Kosem's family however lacked those qualities. her children became hostile towards her, starting with Osman. the ones whom she favoured most always ended up dead, Mehmed and later Kasim. if Ahmed lived a little longer there'd be a stronger family bond. there will be no hostilities among his children. the resistance from Kosem's rivals Safiye Sultan and later Halime Sultan were too great. She spent most of her time dealing with these affairs. she had little time with her children.
