HD REUPLOAD: ruclips.net/video/jAcFHRZ96_c/видео.html HD REUPLOAD: ruclips.net/video/jAcFHRZ96_c/видео.html You probably wouldn’t guess this game was designed by the same team as the GTA franchise! It’s developed by DMA Design which was later renamed to Rockstar games. It’s definitely an amazing game for it’s time and the console it was released on. There are a few annoyances about it but you can’t be too critical about a game that’s nearly 20 years old. There are 5 different maps which are divided in several area sections (stages). Each stage requires you to blow some enemies up, steal cars, find weapons and ammo and sometimes do a bit of puzzling. At the end of the stage awaits a small boss. Once killed, there’s a passage in the energy field which you can enter to go to the next stage area. Once all stage bosses are defeated you can take on the big boss and finish the area. The game has an amazing concept. Minor downside is that you need to restart your save when you die, so sometimes that’s 30-40 minutes of gameplay lost as you get to save at every passage. Most annoying level was the second one because the character can’t really walk up hills very well and level 2 is full with mountains and lava. I had to make a second save in the midst of one of the stages in the second area because I kept dying due to some bullshit such as not being able to get back into my helicopters as the sprite was too big, or falling off hills. Last level is just constant shooting action in your spaceship which is super overpowered, so you get to face the biggest and meanest monsters. It had my heart beat racing and it was a thrill to play. The people who know this game absolutely love it, but it was never very popular due to bad advertising. Happy to have it here up on the channel to give it some extra exposure it deserves.
This is by far one of my all-time favorite video games. Out of the 800 plus games that I've played this is made my top five. Hell I've named My yacht on Grand theft Auto and motorcycle clubs after this game and characters from this game. Now it's time for a Black Adam playthrough.
Same. I came here just to see how the game actually plays out. Never got very far as a kid myself, either. Normally I just kind of messed around and drove the cars. 🤣
It got to me knowing that an open world game like this can grasp your whole perspective in a diverse manner of the world we live in can be impacted by one human having possession of a superpower to dismantle the alien race who try to inhabit the world of its' own kind.
It’s funny cause there was actually supposed to be a GTA game for the N64 but it was canceled. Body Harvest is pretty much the closest thing to being a GTA 64 game.
This game scared me pretty good as kid. When I got to college, I thought I would try revisiting this game. It was 2016. I never remembered the intro text. Such powerful nostalgia from this one. Game kind of felt like GTA, except with aliens now that I think about it. I loved it as a kid. Made it to stage 4 and couldn’t get past it.
It's still unsettling to me. The whole soundtrack just feels eerie and uncomfortable. Which is good, since the whole game is kinda going for this more desperate last ditch effort vibe I think.
Same I spent probably 14 years looking for this game. Played it a long time ago. I'm not sure if a guy on the bus let me borrow this or if my parents rented it for me when I picked it out. Don't remember, just remembered being able to switch vehicles and running out of gas and big green bug creatures. This is definitely the game for sure, and the first level is how I sorta remembered it although I never made it pass the first level sadly. Just found it today by going through the complete n64 game library with descriptions of each game, luckily this one was in the Bs so i didn't have to go far down the list. I was like any N64 games that had you drive a vehicle and could run out of gas, and maybe aliens.

Man, this was an incredible game to play back in the day, never expected to be able to do so many things in a game before, the soundtracks where pretty awesome, and i love how the bugs explodes to pieces. This was a game ahead of it's time, and i loved it.
Interesting fact, did you know that the stolen chemical train in Siberia can be stalled using one of the tougher tanks? You park the tank right in front of the train before you enter the plant. When the clone steals the train, it gets stuck on the tank. This allows you to easily destroy it before it can crash. Also, if you successfully destroy the train, there will be much less enemies and only one, smaller harvester wave. Hope this helps potential newbie players as the Siberia chapter is pretty damn difficult!
Thank you for this video LongplayArchive, thanks to you, I remember this game for at least 20 years ago and played it several times from the beginning. God Bless You 😊😊😊
I just wish the vehicles except maybe one were all combat oriented looking. Not just all regular looking cars that all of a sudden shoot big laser beams.

This game that I used to play as a child with my grandmother came to my mind at this time, how many memories ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I was a kid when I swapped one of my N64 cartridges, maybe Killer Instinct Gold, with this one from a friend of mine. I remember one day I came back from school and after dinner I played one of my first games with it (never managed to pass the first level). I was in the living room, seated on the floor, while my mom was in the kitchen. Suddently the show she was watching was interrupted by breaking news. It was 3:00pm Italy time, 9:00am in NYC. And it was 9/11/2001. This is the first memory I have of that day.
Played this game all the way through on “Hero.” It was insanely hard. To this very day I play all games on the hardest setting and this is still among one of the hardest I’ve ever played.
I wonder if there could ever be a co-op version of this game. Having to take care of multiple crisis scenarios at the same time in such a setting could make for some awesome tension...
Holy cow no wonder I could never find this game. I thought it was a Metroid game. Loved it as a kid even though I had no idea how to progress. My most vivid memory is the soft time limit where once it ended, alien invasions start ramping up like crazy until you inevitably were killed.
Loved wandering around on this game, driving all over the place, couldn’t read anything and had no idea what I was doing. I don’t think my dad even knew what the hell to do either. Also the way that ship shit out the little ship 😂 *Fighting giant bugs* “WARNING YOU COULD BE ABOUT TO MAKE CONTACT” I gotta say the soundtrack was spooky and I liked it.
Oh wow GTA creators ROCKSTAR Made this game huh..I can see it. At least with GTA 3. This game was honestly ok and alluring to me as a kid. Here to finally see end of it...all.
I'm surprised no one ever made a film about this. It sounds(the score is great) like something Stephen King would have written a screenplay for in the 80s/early 90s.
what memories! as a child I did not know exactly what to do .. every time I started over! a scary and wonderful game .. being a child is beautiful! my children play too and I fully understand how they feel!
I played this game a lot when I was a kid, it was so fun to play. The most annoying thing is the people, they just walk around in the middle of an alien invasion and gets in the middle of the road when you drive...
Great video. I remember playing this from start to finish. I was hooked. It was primarily GTA (Grand theft alien) Everything from Autogiro's to Tank's. Wish they would remake this game, or perhaps a sequel?
Did anyone else have the PAL version of this game? I'd love to know if anyone finished it. My copy would always crash at 3:56:57 when you speak to the guy. I got my cart replaced, I tried a different N64, tried with & without the Expansion Pak fitted... nothing worked, it would always freeze there. To this day I have no idea if it was even possible to beat it.
Very interesting.. I know one more case like that with the NTSC Medabots for the GameCube crashing at a particular stage, so it’s definitely possible to have such gamebreaking bugs limited to only one specific region
LongplayArchive I hope one day I can get a definitive answer. Body Harvest cost me all my hard-earned pennies on release, and I so badly wanted to play the 'modern age' scenes show on the back of the box. We had other troubles in PAL-land. Spacestation Silicon Valley was impossible to 100% because collision was missing on a critical collectible (did NTSC have that too?) Worst of the lot was WWF No Mercy. All release copies randomly deleted your save data (about every other time you booted it up). 6 months later replacements were issued. No save problems that time, but they'd removed the blood! Heartbreaking!
Bovrillor These longplays continue to get viewed so I think you’ll get a reply, i understand that frustation. Games weren’t cheap for us as kids. Also interesting about WWF.. I haven’t played it yet but I’d like the version with blood. Don’t care much about saves as I can just complete the game in one sitting
I had the PAL version(I'm from England) yeah I got passed that point but never finished the final Meteor stage, I made a lot of progress on it and saved badly and I just could not bring myself to reset it.

Man, this was an incredible game to play back in the day, never expected to be able to do so many things in a game before, the soundtracks where pretty awesome, and i love how the bugs explodes to pieces. This was a game ahead of it's time, and i loved it.
hidden gem within N64's catalogue
Looking back now, this game really established a formula that many games in the next decades would follow
16:55 -- "Hey, I know your village is burning down, but I need to kill this bug real quick, thx"
Hope this helps potential newbie players as the Siberia chapter is pretty damn difficult!
the music in this game is insanely fitting for the setting.
aww man i had this game when i was a kid, i didnt knew what i was doing so i never really got into it shame because it was a good game
This game was so ahead of its time.
Awesome game. Not that it adds a lot of value but reading books on the bookshelves and searching skeletons for a skeleton laugh is fun too!
Especially with the freaking chaos meter.

Exactly.
I wonder if there could ever be a co-op version of this game. Having to take care of multiple crisis scenarios at the same time in such a setting could make for some awesome tension...
wow, it would!
Time to petition a remake lol
5:30 The music in this game was so good. Especially the map theme and indoors. Gives such a hopeless end of the world vibe.
Pre-cursor to GTA3, made by same devs, i mean look at the UI, hidden gem for sure.
This is an amazing game I remember the open world style
This game was ahead of it's time
how exactly? thinking of playing it.
Holy cow no wonder I could never find this game. I thought it was a Metroid game. Loved it as a kid even though I had no idea how to progress.
My most vivid memory is the soft time limit where once it ended, alien invasions start ramping up like crazy until you inevitably were killed.
The same people responsible for this game would then go on to make GTA 3 not too long later.
Haven’t seen this game in so many years forgot it existed what the hell 😱
I desperately wanted this game but wasn’t allowed to because of the name, my parents thought it sounded too scary for 11 year old me
hate parents like that, they lowkey ruin childhoods.
Shit my dad bought me re2 n64 for Christmas. Scared shitless! Lol
Revolutionary for it's time. The free roam and vehicles was mind blowing
my favorite game
This is what Metroid 64 should be.
I agreed it has that style.
When I was a kid and I used to watch my dad play this, the zombies in the Siberia level used to terrify me! :)
still pretty sure it took me hours to figure out how to lower the bridge, great memories, awesome soundtrack, actual Insane game for the 64
Still have my copy on N64, epic game
Loved this game when I first played it as a kid and never passed the 1st stage. Now, I'm back to beat the whole game!
Never heard of this game. Looks amazing for a n64 game. 😱 Especially from rockstar. Dayum!
I'm surprised no one ever made a film about this. It sounds(the score is great) like something Stephen King would have written a screenplay for in the 80s/early 90s.
DMA to Rockstar North.
3:21:33 TIMMMYYY NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! your lactose intolerant! NOOOOooo!
In the European version, you have to play the hard mode to have access to Siberia/Comet. In easy mode, the game ends after beating America
If Nintendo would give me this, Silicon Valley, Mischief Makers, and Blast Corps, I’d be so happy.
Imagine if they remade this game or something like it now and with their current devs and tech? It'd probably be like an open-world EDF or something.
I had no idea you could go inside. I was clearly way too young
what memories! as a child I did not know exactly what to do .. every time I started over! a scary and wonderful game .. being a child is beautiful! my children play too and I fully understand how they feel!
I played this game a lot when I was a kid, it was so fun to play. The most annoying thing is the people, they just walk around in the middle of an alien invasion and gets in the middle of the road when you drive...
Great video.
I remember playing this from start to finish. I was hooked.
It was primarily GTA (Grand theft alien)
Everything from Autogiro's to Tank's.
Spacestation Silicon Valley was impossible to 100% because collision was missing on a critical collectible (did NTSC have that too?)
Worst of the lot was WWF No Mercy.
Pretty I had the PAL version of this game in Australia. Also crashed around same point, never finished it
The soundtrack is as good as I remembered. That's a surprise
I remembered loving this game as a kid. I never remembered how to get into a vehicle so it was little more difficult 😂 but I loved it nonetheless.
What great game. Thanks for the nostagia
