As someone who has been in the industry for some time... I would begin from absolutely amazing sound design and music. It does 50 perc. of the job. The graphics is great , or more than great. The movements of the character, the physics - mindblowing. Shading, lighting - 5 stars. The story, well... it actually does not exist :). But as an experiment, it is more than amazing. I cant wait for the moment that it would be possible to just throw all the vrays, arnolds in the bin, and finally start creating in real time.
@@craigsimmers Anything from getting started to how to setup your characters and animate them would be interesting to here and learn! Also how much time it takes to learn the process.

@@craigsimmers I'm a bit late to the party but here are some questions/topics: - How was the camera shake(s) done? Beautiful showcase of UE capabilities! Brilliantly created! How were you able to pull the Cinema shots, specifically the camera shake... it feels so natural.
Stunning result my friend from every perspective. The sound design is so professional, actually almost equal to a big budget movie. 😎 May I ask what sound libraries did you use?
That last shot is beautiful! What did you use to get the weather effects (wind/lightning)? how long did this take to render and where is the music from?
thank you! and weather effects was all done in post with After Effects. Rendering wasn't long at all, each shot was around 20-30 seconds to render out and the music was licensed through Musicbed! the trackname is "Fool" by Ryan Taubert :)
thanks! and it was all done using the realtime engine in Unreal. I added brute force GI in some shots which created some noise so that might make it look like the full on path tracer!
thank you! the sky and sun look was achieved using the Unreal Engine Sky Atmosphere and then in compositing I added in my own skies/cloudscapes to compliment the colours!
@@thebrotherslynch4521 It was something I learnt while making it! I didn't realise Unreal could export transparent skies /backgrounds haha, incredibly powerful for doing any kind of matte paintings etc...
