    lmao this was in 2017, his predictions of 50 years have turned so wrong, cause GPT's have already made poetry and even the subtle elements of it possible.

    When some claims are labeled as "scientific" by mainstream authorities, it does not mean all the people in the world should accept them as they are. It should be possible to criticize. On the other hand, science is not static. Many theories in science or common beliefs were later proven to be false. Also the claims should be falsifiable. As a last point, the disciplines such as Mathematics and Physics are highly scientific but we cannot say the same about the field of medicine.

    so if jobs will be lost. Why do you invent the technology then? stop inventing it. mobiles have their uses and good side, like ecosia, but otherwise, mobiles are pointless and should be uninvented.

    oh boy, such a great mind, but ventures fearlessly into other domains (is this something canadianish?) like climate (just repeating mantras, not being an expert), or investigative journalism (being on payroll of global ad stealing soul selling "business" that is killing journalism in front of your eyes)

    When talking about "romantic relationship with robots", professor Hinton said, "... I think that's what we're designed for". Does it mean, he believes there is something like a "god" who designed us on purpose? Or in other words, we are more like some kinds of "robots". After all, the brain is too sophistic and delicate to be evolved from nothing.

    I wish professor Hinton would find a minute to get acquainted with the climate science, because the man-made climate change is not at all a scientifically settled issue. And I think machine learning could greatly help to determine correct factors behind climate change, or what used to be called - weather. The mentioned journals, and enormous sponsorship, quite surprisingly goes into the propagation of man-made climate change, and obfuscation of scientific facts with catch phrases like "97% of scientists agree" etc.

      Piotr M. Salomon agree.
      However, it is a fact that CO2 content in the atmosphere has been rising since the onset of industrialization and that solar phenomena cannot explain this increment.

      With all due respect, I think it is you who should get acquainted with the climate science.
      It has been scientifically proven by researches around the world that climate change is caused by human activity.
      These kind of comments questioning climate change make the humanity lose time and focus that could be better use to revert the effects before it is too late.

      No, Piotr. Here's a nice visualization of the relationship between CO2 and global surface temperature using NASA data. Are you claiming that NASA, all the meteorological, ocean and antarctic stations are all corrupt? I don't think so. Even if they were what would they stand to gain by lying about such a thing?

    • @HerrBaton
      @HerrBaton 6 лет назад +2

      Carbon dioxide is THE fundament of all life on earth, Dieter, life which is called for that reason carbon-based, this is a fact a primary school kid knows. I'm not arguing about data, I'm arguing about interpretation of that data. Even if there was some minor relationship between CO2 & temperature (which the isn't) it DOESNt matter. If earth runs out of CO2 all the life DIES INSTANTLY. Tell me, wise guy, what is, according to your NASA the correct CO2 concentration? Nobody answers that obvious question. Because the entire claim CO2 is a "pollution" is so bloody ridiculous, it can't be even put into words. You are spreading secondary theories derived from propaganda. CO2 is in historic low, and as soon as we run out of it life on earth is over. But, what the hell, let's fuck ourselves faster, because NASA, a US governmnet agency which mere purpose is to develop military technology to invade and infiltrate countries around the world, can't be wrong. Really, when I hear the climate change debate I truly believe some people should go extinct. USE YOUR BRAIN. THINK CRITICALLY AND LOGICALLY. That is all I ask of you. Start with reminding yourself what is photosynthesis, and how much carbon in a plant comes from air.
