- In this video I go into the types of bags & boards I use in my comic collection. I get into specifics and show examples. I talk about what types you should NOT use. I also talk about why I always say NO to TAPE!

After more than four decades collecting and reading comicbooks and related pop culture (TV, movies, video games, etc) as of 2022 I am sharing reviews/overviews of my collection. The plan is at least one new video every Monday!

Hi, Larry! I love your channel and have been catching up on your backlog. This video convinced me to finally take the mylar plunge. You weren't kidding about the time involved! Very therapeutic process and they look gorgeous in the E Gerbers. Thank you 🤘
You are welcome! Glad this helped! Mylar makes any comic look better for sure!
Spot-on! I agree with everything you said. Current size is just too small, in my opinion even for moderns. That extra margin helps protects the edges and corners against accidental bumps and drops. Just don't shake them vigorously and bang and slam the comic back and forth.
YES! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this video! I’m getting into buying single issues and was trying to figure out what I needed. This will be a big help.
Awesome! Glad it helped!
Treasures indeed. Thanks for sharing Larry!! Cheers
Thanks for watching!
I bought once from E Gerber but the shipping was the killer. I found another company that I really like but they often run out of stock. Showing off those sigs!!! I guess I need that fold and tuck for my clear backing board stored comics.
Last time I ordered even with the shipping it still turned out cheaper than anyone else.
There is a supplies booth (comics, cards, sports stuff) at Frank and Sons with reasonable prices.
@@apilgrim8715 I haven't heard of that one
@@LarrysLibrary Its a local swap meet/collector's market (inside of a space vacated by Sam's Club) in Southern California. The vendors have good prices and he can save on shipping.
@@apilgrim8715 nice
Fold. Crease. Cut. Tuck. Reminds me of Om mani padme hum. Its like a collectors mantra, perhaps somewhere in the multiverse, a version of the golden age buddhist crimefighter Green Lama is repeating those words as he cares for and curates his pulp comic collection. "Fold. Crease. Cut. Tuck."
Hah-hah! Surely there MUST BE!
Great video, Larry.
Thanks Deathtone!
Tape is evil, when it comes to comics, good advice.
Hahhah..thanks Damian!
You did not cover the resealable bags...
Do they have resealable Mylar now?
Yeah... understood. Did take your advice and placed an order with E.Gerber but my lord the website is ancient. Great stuff love wtahing your content!!! @@LarrysLibrary
Are you going to Indy Comic Con?
I dunno. When is that this time?

@@typewritermark We didn't plan for it so probably not unfortunately
Nice informative video thanks. Just thinking for cutting the taper on the flap, maybe one of those mini-guillotines or paper trimmer slicers if your needing to do a lot of cuts? Not sure on the flipping through the comics in the bin but I've gotten into the habit of having the flap at the bottom rather than the top, just a thought.
Interesting ideas! I think those paper cutters (at least the office kind I had used at work before) are probably too big for the flaps.
