Positive float is measured towards load I.e generator or pump side and negative float is towards front pedestal or governer side. If total float from active pad to inactive pad is 0.40mm then rotor zero position probe should be set at 0.20mm and at this setting DCS value of rotor position must have to display 0.0mm from the total scale of +/- 1mm

Bro1 frm pilot valve to power cylinder a small line is going what is the use of that

In our plant unable to achieve full load 43 MW due to vaccum issue.
We have checked condenser performance it is satisfactory even envolve expert service. Even after arrest helium leakage in ejector.

Sir you presented well on flaot measurement. But the topic of discussion i.e Bump test is used for determining natural frequency of the turbine instead of float measurement. So if you can provide some information on that will be really helpful to me.

plz reply sort & Simple hw v can adjust thrust clearance, it only solution to change thrust bearing pads,,? or anything else to,,,
If our turbine is at mechanical zero position (floating 0.4 mm)and axial shift tripping is +1/-1 mm that means rotor travelled towrds gen its around 0.2mm float + 0.8mm tripping value total 1mm that time thrust collor may be damged
