Nice video George and gang. Thanks for your continued good work. I like scout carry, but employ many different methods based on what I’m planning to do. When I’m woodworking, I like to be outside, so I might have five knives on me and an axe and saw. Belts, cargo pants, and para cord are your friend.
I've been carrying the CRKT S.P.E.W. as a neck knife for 2 years straight and never had a issue. I absolutely love my S.P.E.W. it cuts like A light saber .
Belt carry, right hip, blade down, edge forward. Allows for an easy pull into reverse grip, and for a pull into standard grip, human anatomy allows us to twist our arm for a much more comfortable pull than we can when carrying edge facing back. Don’t mind appendix carry at the belt buckle either.
@@freestatefellow I have the smaller (original) Extrak and think it is just the right size for EDC. It is getting colder; so, the knife went from my front pocket to my flannel shirt pocket. For me, the newer Magnacut Extrak is too big for pockets but would be fine for the other carry methods. This wasn't covered in the video, but thin & lightweight are two important qualities, and the Extrak has them in spades because it was designed for hunters hiking for miles up into the mountains. The price is a little premium, but it is tough and made in America.
All my fixed blades are inverted carry. The point is even with the belt and it’s a super fast draw. You need a good kydex sheath to keep it from falling out. Only one time I had someone ask what’s that hanging on my side while I was in a defensive driving class. I pulled it out with the blade against my forearm and you should’ve seen their eyes bug out. I told them it’s the most useful tool you can carry and immediately put it back in the sheath. They looked like they saw a ghost. 😂
used to belt carry but the looks that i get here in begium and the ask for pocket carry made me look in to making more small fixed blades whit a pocket sheath . and now a shamless plug like my new model the eagle tallon
If you wear bib overalls for work you can get real creative with neck knife carry systems without going around the neck by using the bib part of the overalls.
Congrats on your life goal. I hope you bragged to your family, friends, coworkers, etc that you were finally able to get that "first" post. You life is now complete!
You forgot to mention. If you use a knife for "self-defense," you MUST be trained for years by a professional, or you will cut yourself in an attack more then the attacker....
yeah sure buddy. plenty untrained people have defended themselves with knives since humans figured out how to make them. might be worth thinking a little harder before you comment next time
Great video guys. I hope tutorial Tuesday continues to be a thing.
Nice job, just the facts we need presented concisely. Other YTers could learn from this.
The Bradford 3.5 in appendix carry is top notch
Awesome videos absolutely love my fix blades

I would add boot carry in there too!

Learned this from a RUclips short and heartily agree this is a great way to carry!
I EDC a Hogue Extrak in the pocket. It comes with a Kydex sheath and ULTICLIP. Awesome knife!
How do you like it? I've been looking at the Extrack as a foray into pocket fixies.

@@danrussell9357 thanks for the feedback. Looks like I'll have to pick one up!
Very informative!

What's inverted carry?
@ the knife is hanging like it would fall out of the sheath. I use paracord loops over my belt and I pull the knife straight down to remove it.

Love the crkt biwa for a neck knife
Good job. Thanks
I recoiled the way you reholstered your neck knife.
yikes. and he's done it for so long it's second nature. hard to untrain.
Belt carry with a dangler for me.
your modified pocket sheath 👍
Generally prefer crossdraw appendix or iwb, depending on the knife and sheath
You could have added to carry a fixed blade on one of the shoulder straps of a rucksack.

I wear a choker and I scout neck carry
It would be cumbersome to have one on your belt, especially if one would happen to carry their handgun at the same position
no boot carry? i wear flex pants and it's easy to get a knife out. i'm not using except as last line of defense not first
I am Negan
First

@@LK-dn2ms you ever fought with a knife? Let me guess, Prolly not.
You must be a practitioner of Bullshito.
